"Cathy!" I called. "Please, don't let the rice burn."

 

"I'm not." She shouted back.

 

"Why do you have to scream?" I asked, crossing my arms.

 

"I'm not screaming." She grunted.

 

I rolled my eyes and turned back to the meat. Its already six, the guys should be here any minute. Thankfully, I'm almost done. For what? In slaving myself in a kitchen for Cathy to take all the credit and impress Gongchan.

 

"Jessy." My sister called, making turn around to face her. "Thank you." She continued as I gave her my attention. 

 

I smiled. "No problem." She's being so sweet and I'm having y thoughts.

 

After we were done cooking, we changed our clothes and decided to hang out in the living room. I sat on the couch, using my tablet, Cathy did the same. A few minutes later there were several knocks at the door, my sister jumped up and skipped towards the door. 

 

Someone's excited... I shook my head and rolled my eyes. She's falling hard. I just hope she doesn't get her heart broken. 

 

I looked up from my tablet, towards the door. I watched as the opened door to reveal the five guys standing there, my heart fastened as my eyes landed on-.

 

"Hey, noona. What are you doing?" Gongchan asked, interrupting my train of thought.

 

"Uh." I looked at him, confused, I quickly came back to consciousness. "Not much, just writing an essay."

 

"About what?" He asked as he glanced at my tablet.

 

I looked up at him as I closed my tablet. "It's for the secondary medical school applications."

 

"Any from the medical school here in Seoul?" He asked as he sat next to me.

 

"No." I laughed. "I just turned that application in yesterday."

 

"Hey, Jessy." Jinyoung said while also sitting next to me.

 

"Hey, Jinyoung." I turned towards him with a smile. "Guess what?"

 

"What?" Jinyoung asked curiously but with  a smile.

 

" I got an email today saying that I will be receiving financial assistant. The previous email was a mistake from the system."

 

"Seriously." Jinyoung said with excitement. "I'm so happy for you."

 

"I know, thank you." I sighed. "I'm kind of upset though. I feel that if they hadn't made that mistake we wouldn't have made our mistake."

 

I was looking down at my hands, then adverted my eyes up at Jinyoung.

 

"That wasn't a mistake." He said softly. 

 

"Thanks Jinyoung, you're a good friend." I gave him a small smile.

 

I turned to my right to notice Gongchan had been listening to everything. He looked at me weirdly, one eyebrow raised. I panicked on the inside. I decided the best thing to do was turn the conversation around to him.

 

"So, you were all day with Cathy, how was that?'' I asked, hiding my nervousness.

 

"We had fun." Gongchan gave toothy smile. "She even thought me some Spanish."

 

"Really?" I perked up. Secretly, I was happy that he had seemed to forgotten about my conversation with Jinyoung. "Say something?"

 

"Okay." He thought about it, then spoke. "Me llamo Gong-chan." (My name is Gongchan).

 

I stared at him as my smile grew wider until I began chuckling. "Aw, that was so cute! I just want to squish your cheeks."

 

Jinyoung laughed at my reaction and Gongchan blushed.

 

"Hey, dinner is in the table. Let's eat." Cathy called and we all gathered around the table. The guys skeptically served themselves from the food in the middle.

 

"So, you put the beans on top of the rice?" Baro asked as he observed Cathy doing just that.

 

"If you want." Cathy shrugged and began eating.

 

I watched as the guys began carefully tasting, then ate more and more. Sandeul seemed to take the initiative, serving himself again. I watched him and smiled to myself. I wonder if he know how cute he is?

 

After dinner, everyone gathered in the living room area. I saw as Gongchan stood up and motioned me to follow him. I looked around to see nobody had noticed. I carefully stood up and walked behind Gongchan towards my room. I slowly closed the behind me.

 

Gongchan turned to me and crossed his arms. "Noona, tell me the truth. What was the mistake between you and Jinyoung?"

 

My jaw dropped. "Nothing." I replied, quickly composing myself." I thought he forgot...

 

"Noona, you can trust me." He urged, placing a hand on my shoulder.

 

I sighed. "We kissed. We drank too much and we kissed." I lied.

 

"Its that all?" Gongchan pressed on the subject.

 

"Yes." I hate lying.

 

"Do you have feelings for... Jinyoung?" He questioned, looking directly into my eyes.

 

"He's a friend, a really good friend. That's all." I shrugged, looking back at him.

 

"If you ever need someone to talk to, you can talk to me." Gongchan offered.

 

"What did my sister tell you?" I asked suspiciously. I know she said something.

 

"She just told me a bit about you." He looked down at his shoes.

 

I open my mouth to speak but I couldn't. What did she tell him? Did she tell him about my issues? That's personal...

 

"Don't get mad, noona." Gongchan said as he hugged me. "I wont judge you."

 

I looked up at him and smiled. "Thanks, Channie."

 

I wanted to ask him if he liked my sister but, I didn't. I didn't want to make things awkward if he doesn't like her.

 

We went back to the living room, nobody really seemed to noticed our absence, except my sister obviously.

 

"We have to go." Shinwoo announced as he began getting on his feet. "Tomorrow we have to wake up early for stage rehearsal."

 

Everyone got up and hugged goodbye. I watched as they walked out the door, as soon as the door closed I laid myself back on the couch with an exasperated sigh. I was quickly startled by a knock at the door. Carthy was already in her room, so I decided to get up and open it myself. 

 

I couldn't reach the peek hole and instead decided to take the risk.

 

"Hey, Sandeul. Did you forget something?" I asked politely.

 

"I told the guys I left my phone. I really didn't, though." Sandeul chuckled, his hands were shoved inside his front pockets. He looked very handsome. 

 

"So, what do you need?" I questioned skeptically.

 

"I wanted to ask you something?" He looked down then slowly back at me.

 

My heart skipped. What's happening to me?

 

"Yeah." I croaked. How embarrassing.

 

"Do you want to go have ice cream tomorrow night?" He began. "I want to show you a really nice place tomorrow."

 

"Won't you be tired?" I asked concerned.

 

"I won't." He laughed. "I'm full of energy. You're my friend and I want to take you out."

 

Yeah friends...

 

"How about Cathy?" I didn't want to leave my sister alone.

 

"Don't tell her but-" he paused and looked around. I just noticed we were still at the doorway. "Gongchan is finally getting the courage to ask her out in a real date."

 

"Hold on." I said as I grabbed Sandeul's forearm and pulled him inside. "Does he like her?" I whispered.

 

"Yes, he does." He replied. "I'm surprised he didn't tell you. He's always like 'noona this, noona that'."

 

"I understand, I am the sister." I shrugged. "Why are you jealous?" I teased.

 

"No." He stated, then smirked. "I know you like me best."

 

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't." I teased back. Where is this confidence coming from?

 

Sandeul his bottom lip then bit it, afterwards giving me a wide smile. "I have to go, the guys are waiting for me. I'll see you tomorrow."

 

"See you, bye." I walked him to the door and closed it behind him.

 

I walked towards Cathy's room but, stopped in front of her door. I'll wait until she gets her good news. I'm so excited for her! Gongchan likes her! I kind of figured there was something, now I know. I suddenly heard a scream from inside her room and ran in to see what happened.

 

"Are you okay?" I exclaimed.

 

"Oh my God! He asked me out!" She shrieked. "I can't believe it!"

 

"What? What?" I asked desperately.

 

"Gongchan called and he asked me out for dinner." She said excitedly.

 

"I'm so happy for you." I smiled and hugged her. "Just be careful he doesn't get recognized."

 

I wanted to tell her about me going for ice cream but, it's just a friend thing. I decided it's not a big deal to tell her.

 

"He's always careful." She shrugged, then jumped on her bed and opened her laptop.

 

"What are you doing?" I asked curiously. 

 

"Oh, nothing." She sang. 

 

I narrowed my eyebrows and went over to sit next to her.

 

"Are you googling him?" I exclaimed. "Don't go down that road."

 

"I'm just curious."she shrugged.

 

I got up and headed over to my room. I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I'm going out tomorrow with Sandeul. Um, how do I feel about this? We're just friends, going out as friends.

"Cathy, is going to start!" I yelled. 

 

I watched as she ran towards the living room and gathered around the TV. I understood nothing that was said in the music show, the only thing I understood was B1A4.

 

For some reason Cathy and I began screaming like idiots.

 

"Jessy, look at him." Cathy said pointing at the TV screen. "I'm going out on a date with him, he's so cute!"

 

"Gongchan is adorable." I agreed.

 

I looked at each one of them and smiled. They're so dorky sometimes. After the performance, I went back to my room. I wanted to get ready early for tonight. My phone suddenly rang and I quickly grabbed it, it was a picture message from Gongchan.

 

  From: Gongchan

               

               Noona, hyung and I say 'hi!'

 

  I looked at the picture of Gongchan smiling and Sandeul doing a V sign and couldn't help but to chuckle. I stared at Sandeul and felt my breathing shortened. Cathy walked in with a huge smile.

 

"Did they sent you the picture?" She asked, staring at her phone.

 

"Yeah, I got it." I said with a sigh.

 

"What's wrong?" Cathy looked concerned as she sat next to me.

 

I sighed once again. "I think... I think I like Sandeul."

 

"As a friend?" She raised an eyebrow.

 

"No." I shook my head and covered my face.

 

"Oh." She simply said.

 

I wasn't looking at her but I knew she was shaking her head in disapproval.

 

"Well, if you like him... Good for you. I like Gongchan and you finally came around to the idea of us."

 

I looked up at her confused.

 

"You're not mad because I did what I told you not to do?" 

 

"Nope." She snorted. "However, you did have with Jinyoung. I think you should tell Sandeul if you want something to happen between you two."

 

"I don't think anything is going to happen between the two of us. We're leaving in air three weeks and why would he like me?" I sighed in disappointment.

 

"You never know what might happen." Cathy argued. "And your pretty awesome, that's why he would like you."

 

I smiled, giving her a hug. "Thank you."

 

Suddenly, my phone beeped and I looked at it to find another message. 

 

From Jinyoung:

 

      Hey, Jessy! We just left the music show. Did you see it?

 

I nodded to myself as if he could see me and replied.

 

To: Jinyoung:

 

      I did, you guys were awesome like always! Lol

 

Another beep

 

From: Jinyoung:

 

      Thank you :) I know Gongchan is going out tonight with Cathy, so I was wondering if you wanted to do something so you won't alone?

 

I bit my lip and wondered if I should tell him. If Sandeul hasn't then I shouldn't either.

 

To: Jinyoung: 

 

     I can't tonight... I have to write two essays for tomorrow, I really need to get this done. But, thanks for the offer. Definitely another time.

 

I felt so guilty from lying...

 

From: Jinyoung:

 

      No problem. I'll call you tomorrow, I think the guys want to go somewhere.

 

To: Jinyoung: 

 

      Cool, see you later. Bye =)

 

I locked my phone and shoved in into my pocket before it rang again. This time it was a call from Sandeul.

 

"Hey." I answered.

 

"Hey, how are you?" Sandeul asked politely.

 

"Good." I laughed "You sound weird."

 

"No I don't." He whined. "It's not my fault I have an accent."

 

"Don't be silly. I have a small accent too." I chuckled. "And stop trying to sound cute."

 

"You think I sound cute?" He asked teasingly.

 

"No." I shook my head. I know he can't see me. 

 

"Mmhmm, okay. Whatever you say." I rolled my eyes at him. "I was just calling to let you know that Channie is leaving in about an hour to get Cathy. I'll leave right after him, so I'll be there soon after. I told hyung, I was going to take a walk for exercise." Sandeul suddenly laughed. "Yeah, I can't believe he actually believed that; as if practice is not enough exercise."

 

I just giggled with him, not knowing what to say. 

 

"I'll see you soon, okay." He added.

 

"Okay, bye."

 

"Bye."

 

I hung up and took a deep relieving breath. I'm so confused about my feelings. I'm also scared... What will Sandeul think of me if he finds out about the Jinyoung incident...

 

"I need an Advil." I said to myself, rubbing my head.

 

I was in the living room finishing my dinner when I heard a knock at the door. 

 

"Ca, I'll get it!" I shouted as I got up and placed my plate on the sink. 

 

I quickly huried to the door and opened it. There stood Gongchan with his wavy hair, in dark skinny jeans, a black blazer, a cool looking white shirt with black designs under, and some nice black shoes.

 

"Huh, look who it is?" I said with a hint of tease in my voice.

 

"Hello, noona." Gongchan bowed.

 

"Hey, come in." I moved aside, and he walked into the living room.

 

I closed the door and with my arms crossed I walked towards him.

 

"Well, well, well." I slightly smirked. "You're taking my sister out. Why didn't you tell me you liked her?"

 

Gongchan smiled, looking down at his intertwined fingers and replied. "She's fun, nice, and very pretty but, I didn't realize I actually liked her until yesterday."

 

I sat next to him and hugged him "That's so cute." I pulled away and narrowed my eyebrows. "Gongchan, you know I love you. You're like a little brother to me. Please don't break her heart and be a gentleman, she's very naive and inexperienced."

 

Gongchan blushed and looked down. "Don't worry, noona. I am too."

 

I grinned and patted his shoulder. "Let me go get her, I'll be right back."

 

I walked towards Cathy's room and knocked. "Cathy, Gongchan is waiting. Hurry."

 

"Okay." She said as she opened the door.

 

"You look very nice." I said, looking at her from top to bottom at her loose wavy hair, dark blue summer dress, and brown wedges. "Have fun." 

 

"Thank you. I'm so excited and nervous." She frown.

 

"Don't worry." I said trying to comfort her. "Don't keep him waiting, go."

 

She nodded and walked to the living room. As soon as Gongchan noticed her he stood up and smiled.

 

"You look very pretty." He complimented.

 

Cathy blushed and replied. "You look very handsome."

 

"Hope you two kids have fun, be safe." I kind of wanted them to leave already.

 

"Ready to go?" Gongchan asked.

 

"I am." Cathy nodded and Gongchan extended his arm at her, she grabbed it and they left.

 

"How cute." I said to myself in the hallway as I watched them disappeared into the elevator.

 

"Wishing it was us." I heard someone say from behind me, making me jump with a yelp.

 

I turned around to see Sandeul, I softly smacked his shoulder. "You scared me, and you wish."

 

Sandeul laughed. "They do look cute, all and stuff."

 

I looked at him and rolled my eyes. He says the weirdest things.

 

"Are you ready to go?" He asked as we walked inside the hotel room.

 

"Let me get my wallet." I walked towards my room and grabbed my purse. "Okay, I'm ready."

 

It was a slightly chilly night. I couldn't help but to be nervous, I really like Sandeul. However, I don't want him to find out.

 

"Where are we going?" I asked looking up at him. Oh my, he's so cute.

 

"I think in English it's called frozen yogurt." He replied looking down at me.

 

"Cool, I love frozen yogurt." I grinned.

 

"I do too." he grinned back at me

 

We went inside the shop, it was empty. At the counter Sandeul insisted on paying for my frozen yogurt, I tried to object but I couldn't win. He paid as soon as he could, without looking at the girl working the register. Being careful not to get recognized. 

 

We walked down a park as we ate the frozen yogurt. It was dark and empty but the street lights illuminated the night. We walked towards a lake area, it had a fountain in the middle and color lights around it. It looked like something straight out of a movie.

 

"It's pretty, isn't it." Sandeul stated.

 

"It's beautiful." I replied in awe.

 

Sandeul smiled as he watched the lake then turned towards me. "Let's sit on that bench." I followed as he lead me to the bench next to the lake.

 

"Thanks for bringing me here." I said softly, looking down at my frozen yogurt to hide my facial expression.

 

"I'm glad you liked it." I could see him looking at me from the side of my eyes.

 

I looked up at him and my breath got caught up in my throat. Oh god, why am I feeling like this?

 

"Do you want to taste my frozen yogurt?" He asked with soft eyes.

 

It was hard for me to find my voice to reply but I was able to.

 

"Only if you taste mines." 

 

"Deal." He smiled.

 

He dipped his spoon into his frozen yogurt and extended it to me. He wants me to eat it from his spoon? I cautiously took the frozen yogurt into my mouth. I did the same to him; I watched as his mouth got closer to my spoon until it was in his mouth. I started feeling a little warm and I thanked heavens it was dark and he couldn't see me blushing. I felt very intimate to him at that moment. It seemed he was comfortable with me and I was starting to get comfortable with him.

 

"Jessy, you're really cool. I hope we can stay friends even after you leave." He commented with a sincere smile.

 

My heart dropped at the word 'friends' but I quickly put a smile on my lips and replied. "I hope so too."

 

I was okay with just being friends. I really like Sandeul, I wouldn't want to lose his friendship for nothing.

 

"So, how do you think Gongchan and Cathy's date is going?" Sandeul suddenly asked.

 

"I don't know... I hope good." I shrugged

 

"Yeah, me too. I hope everything works out for them. I hope everything works out for everyone."

 

I looked at him, then at the lake. I slightly frowned.

 

Me too, I hope everything works out for everyone.
