“I’m sorry I’m late…” the person immediately said and bowed apologetically as she entered the room.

Hyomin took the empty seat beside sunny who was currently busy reading a message over her phone.

“What is she doing? Oh… checking something over her phone. hehe… she’s not listening… hmm… she’s cute… it’s different when you look at her this close… she’s more than cute… and she has this aura… what aura? Hmmm… a comforting aura… by merely sitting beside her it makes me oooh… at ease… and happy… hehe… she’s beau-ti-ful…” hyomin thought while ogling at sunny

“Hi!” a greeting interrupted hyomin’s thoughts which made her blushed

“Hi..hi…” she tried not to stutter but failed

Smile, the person smiled and responded “Hi! Hi! Hi!” then giggles

Hyomin looked at her dumbfounded...

“You said hi twice so I replied hi three times…”

“Oh… hehehe… sorry…”

“It’s fine…”

“Geez! Park Sunyoung! You are so slow… argh! And she caught me staring at her! waaaa!!!”

“Hyomin-ah? Are you fine?”

“You’ve been zoning out… and your mumbling something randomly…”

“Yes… let’s see how far we can go this year. I know this year; the sun will rise and will shine brightly to us.”

“We are having a friendly fight against the second strongest team last year… what are we going to do now?”

“Don’t worry too much. It’s still a friendly game.”

Sunny was about to stand up and say what’s in her thoughts but the captain stood up and said,

“Girls… girls… girls… what’s wrong? Why are you so scared? That’s we’re having our training camp so that we could improve our skills and our bond. However, before we could start the training and play our first game you are already losing hope. How could we be the champion this year if this is how we think? We should think positive, don’t let the negative thoughts consume us. We have the chance of winning over them, we are phoenix, we will soar high, don’t lose hope if we won’t win, as long as we give our best we will for sure be not behind the score. Who knows we will win over them. Right?”

“For sure we will reach finals… that’s the spirit!” the captain said

“Girls… we should be positive about this… lets be on the top this year… okay?” the coach stated

“Yes…” the girls answered

“I can’t hear you… lets be on top this year!”

“On the top this year!!!!!” the girls cheered louder

“That’s good… to the top!”

“Yeeeeeaaaaah! Phoenix will soar high!”

Students started to pile, the once peaceful cafeteria became so crowded and busy. You could see different groups seated on each table, chitchats here… giggling there… they talked about sports, fashion, their crushes, enemies, assignments, professors, and the like. Everybody’s been busy bee doing their thing.

One group of students settled themselves at the corner.

“Hey! I still didn’t understand how you get this answer.”

 “I just transfer it to the other side, and then divide it, that’s how I get the answer.”

“Huh? Could you teach me step by step?”

“That’s step by step…”

“Okay… teach me slowly…”

“Aish! This guy…”

“Hehehe… Where’s your tutor? I thought you asked her?” siwan teased

“OoopZ! Maybe last minute rejection… hehehe…” seconded by doojun.

Kwanghee kept mum and focused on his notes.

Flashback

At the hallway, kwanghee met sunny, who was busy reading something over her phone.

“Hey! Sunny-ah!”

Sunny looked up and saw kwanghee walking towards her, waving her hands animatedly at her. She merely smiled at the approaching man as a respond.

“Sunny-ah… change… o…f… plans…” kwanghee said in between her breathes

“Huh?”

“Mom called me and asked me to accompany her after class so; I couldn’t meet you at the café.

“Oh okay… its fine with me.”

“Hmm… could we resched?”

“Yes… when? What time?”

“Ahm… this lunch? We don’t have a class after lunch break… maybe you could tutor me by that time?”

“Lunch break? Hmm… I … I … don’t think so… but I’ll try okay?”

“Oh… okay…”

“Is there something wrong?”

“Nothing… sorry to disturb you… hehehe” kwanghee retorted scratching the back of his head

“Will you going to have some quiz tomorrow?”

“ah… yes..”

“Okay… Do your best!”

“Thanks!”

“Got to go now… see you when I see you…”

Sunny went out of the conference room after the urgent meeting called by her Mr. Lee.  She looked at her watch and hurriedly went to the parking area and hop in to her car. 

“Okay… I still could catch them at the cafeteria at this hour. I need to be at school within 10 minutes. I can do this… Yeah! and to do that I need to step on the gas a little harder… hehehe… just a little harder… Oooh… I’m going to love this one… Here I go… “ sunny thought

A roaring sound of the engine could be heard approaching the school campus and immediately parked her car on the reserved space. The driver went out of the car and ran to the cafeteria in a flash.

Sunny entered the cafeteria, her eyes searching for a group she’s wanted to see at the moment.  She turned to the left… to the right… looked here… and looked there… she smiled as she saw a familiar face. She walked towards the group as the other students in the cafeteria ogle at her.

“Hi! Can I join you guys?” sunny asked as she stood beside the group who didn’t notice her presence

Siwan, and doojun looked up first, followed by sunhwa and lastly by kwanghee who had a big smile on her face.

“Hello… hello… hello… earth to mars…. Eh… mars to earth? Four individuals were already corrupted, I sending these four to be fixed. Some of the screws on their system might loosen up, and the system itself needed to be updated to the latest software.”

“Huh?!!!” the four reacted all at once. “Who?”

“You… you… you… and you… you’re are scary… staring blankly at Me.” sunny said pointing at her self

“I’m… I’m sorry… we… we didn’t… we didn’t expect that you’re coming.” Siwan responded

“I’m not expecting it too… gladly the meeting ended early… A friend needed me to tutor him for your quiz tomorrow.” Sunny said as she looked at kwanghee “right?”

“Yees! Right! hehehe…” kwanghee stood up and gave sunny a surprise hug “thank you sunny!”

“Oh… o..kay.. hehehe… could you release me now? I couldn’t breathe…” sunny said as she tapped kwanghee a bit

“Yaaah! What do you think you are doing to sunny?” stated doojun as he tried to release sunny from kwanghee’s tight hug

“I’m sorry… I’m so…sorry sunny… I’m simply too overwhelmed because you show up. Hehehe…”

“It’s fine… it’s fine… should we start now?”

“Uh… did you already have your lunch?” sunhwa inquired as sunny seated beside her

“Not yet… I’m still not that hungry…” retorted sunny as she started to open up the notes

“But at least you eat something…”

“I’m fine sunhwa… thanks! Hehe… kwanghee? Shall we start now?

Yoona was busy munching her sandwich while Yuri was busy talking to her. Jessica and Tiffany’s eyes were focused on something from afar.

“What is she doing there? I thought she has a meeting to attend with? Why is she here? Why is she sitting with those guys? Of course, they are her friends too, hey! We are her friends too. Why didn’t she go to our side? Hmmmp! And she let that kwang hug her!!!!”

“Tsk! Acting cute but cool?! And she’s being hug by that kwanghee? What the… and she allowed it? Is she crazy? That silly bunny! Aish! She will be dead to me later… eh? Wait… why am I acting this way? And why am I feeling this way? No… no… no… erase… erase… erase…”

Seohyun seated unto the vacant seat, she put down her books on the table and took out her lunchbox from her bag. She was talking to her friends, later didn’t she know that the four were not even listening to a single word she’s saying.

“Guys, mom prepared some food enough for us. She woke up early to make this one, she told me she wanted to thank you guys for taking care of me. Tadan! Here’s the result, four varieties of cuisine.  Okay, who wants to have…”

Seohyun halted from her talk when she noticed that none of the four were listening to her. Yoona and yuri were now bickering, while jessica and tiffany were staring from afar.  

“These two kiddos, their actions were already usual, but these other two were acting weird. What’s wrong with them? What are they looking? Who?”

She followed their line of vision, and sunny sitting and laughing in kwanghee’s group. She looked back at the two as kwanghee put her arm unto sunny’s shoulder. Two furrowed brows welcomed her eyes; one was drinking her water in a go, while the other is stuffing her pancake with her fork absentmindedly.

Sunny’s phone buzzed non-stop, she didn’t mind it at first, but it’s already been getting into her. She fished out her phone from her pocket and answered it without checking the caller id.

“Hello?”

“Ms. Lee…”

“Speaking…”

“This is from Hyundai international. We would like to inform you that the appointment you’d asked has been approved and will pursue.”

“Thanks!”

“Welcome Ma’am”

“Okay… meeting at four, I need to close the deal later…” she mumbled to herself

“Sunny?” called kwanghee

“Hmmm?”

“Is there something wrong?”

“Nothing… the call was about a meeting I need to go…”

“Yeah… now, you guys now know the topic very well right?”

“Yeees!” echoed the four

“It’s so simple!” chirped doojun

“Amazing! Didn’t know that it would be that easy for me…” kwanghee proudly stated

“Tsk! I told you to do this and that, but you didn’t get it…” sunwha in smirking

“Coz you’re not a good teacher! Impatient teacher… bleeeh!”

“You…. You…………”

“Yes… me… me… me….”

“Yaaaaah!!!!”

“Two kiddos stop!!!!!” chirped siwan

The two stopped and looked around; they blushed and immediately seated back, students were watching them bickered.

“fool…”

“stupid…”

Mumbled kwanghee and sunhwa respectively…

The three individuals stared at them and started laughing…

“Hahahahhahha… hahahahhahaha….”

“Of course! You all got the chance… you guys are great!”

“Avoid compliments like that sunny, these guys might get over confident tomorrow…” interrupted sunhwa

“Oh… hehehe… okay… gotta go now… thank you!” sunny bid goodbye as she walked towards the parking lot

“Bye! Thank you!” echoed the three

Tiffany’s POv

We were hanging out in the campus’ park since we don’t have any more class this afternoon. Jessica went home after the class ended because her mother called her telling they needed to prepare for some event this evening. So basically theirs only four of us now chitchats about the coming university week events. I checked the time; it was still 3 in the afternoon; contemplated if I should go now or wait for thirty minutes more.  Okay, I might be jammed in the traffic later, I better be going now to avoid being late later.  I excused myself to the group and told them that I still have to attend the department meeting of the company at four and should be going now.

“Okay… you better listened well… hehe” yoona stated

“She doesn’t need to listen that well… that cool guy… nick… nickhun is always there to explain the things to her if she doesn’t understand something. Hehehe… right?” added yuri

“Ei? What are you guys saying?”

“You and Nickhun… an item… hehehe” teased yuri more to me

“We are not!” I denied

“OOOhh… you look good together though… you and nickhun… jessica and what’s the name?”  Seconded by yoona

“Donghae…”

“Thanks yuri… yes donghae… jessica and donghae.. hehehe”

“Whatever!”

“Stop teasing you kiddos…” I heard seohyun reprimanded them…

I am inside my car and trying to start the engine but failed, tried couple of times already but to no avail. I get out of the car and checked the engine. What’s wrong with you today? Aish! Why now? I was looking at the engine for roughly five minutes when I heard someone’s voice.

“Hey! Is there something wrong?”

I turned to look at the person talking and saw her, the one who’s so messy but looked extremely y this morning, and now the cool one, with her shades on.

“Hi!”

“Hello!” she said approaching me as I looked back to check on the engine.

She was already beside me when I heard her talked again “Your car won’t start?”

“Yeah! I tried to couple of times but failed…”

She also checked my car. I stop from what I’m doing and said, “Long time no see…”

“Huh? We’ve seen each other this morning… with your boyfie…”

“Hmmp! I told you he’s not my boyfie…”

“Hehehe… you looked good together…”

“Yaaaah!” I lighted smacked her arm

She giggled adorably… ooh… stop torturing me!

“What funny?!”

“You… hehehe… Oooh… I think you have a dead battery…”

“What?!”

“Dead battery…”

“What the…. Okay never mind… I’ll just call someone to pick up this car…”

“Okay… I need to go now…” she said leaving me behind

“Heeey!!!!!!!!”

She turned around… “Hmmm?”

“You’re leaving me?”

“You won’t help me close the hood?”

“Can’t you close it by yourself?”

“Aish! I could!” I said and closed the hood roughly

Sunny’s POv

I already saw tiffany from afar, as she stepped out of her car, pulled the hood up and checking the engine. I remembered that look she gave me this morning… she seems mad at me or something… hehehe okay… gonna … hmmm…

I walked towards her and asked her if something’s wrong, but she responded nonchalantly and resume checking the engine as if I’m not there. I stood beside her and started checking the engine too. I could feel her stare. She started the conversation and I do responded coolly. I am good at being cool coz I’m one! Hehehe… Anyways, the conversation seems fine… yeah… fine… and a little dead… I told her that the problem with her car was the battery. I think that the battery was dead. Then I started to walk away from her to my car without helping her close the hood.

Then she started yelling at me… calling me… I controlled myself not to giggle and to remain cool. She yelled at me that I’ve changed and barged into my car. She settled herself inside my car, leaving her car keys and things inside. I shook my head and went off to take her keys and things, I called the car shop that I’ve trusted and told them about tiff’s car.

“Here’s your things Ms. Hwang, I already call the shop, they’ll gonna get service your car, we will drop off the keys at the shop okay? Will that be okay to you Ms. Hwang?”

“Hmmp! Yes…” she retorted crossed arms

“That’s all? A simply yes?”

“Hmmm… What else do you want?”

“Starts with K?”

“K?”

“Yes… K…”

“Okay…” she said and leaned closer to me…

“Hey… hey… hey…. What are you trying to do?!” I said and she halted in her tracks

“You want this right?”

“Ei?”

“The K…”

“Huh?! K as in “Kamsahamnida” it’s a thank you right?”

“huh?!”

“Ei? You’re thinking of a “Kiss”?!”

“Ah.. ahmm!” she tried to say something but couldn’t, stared at me and I saw something in her eyes, she’s… she’s… she’s embarrassed and hurt. Tears were about to fall when she moved back.

I hold her shoulders and let her looked at me.

“Hey! I was only teasing you… hehehe… long time no see tiff! Hehehe”

“Long time no see yourself! Hmmp!” she said and pushed me but I hugged her before she could get away

“Hehehe… don’t cry….”

“I’m not crying…”

“You are about to… hehehe”

“Aish! let go of me!”

“Okay…” I let go of her immediately and she whined

“Why did you let go?”

I leaned forward to her and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek.
