The Only Light I See
Yoona POV
"i guess, i'm getting fat.." my girlfriend stared at herself through a mirror
"you're not.." i hugged her from behind
"but i feel like i'm getting fat.." she pouted
"you're not, trust me.." i reassured her and she sighed
"although you're fat, you look still beautiful. And i won't care about your weight, because i'll always love you no matter what.." i kissed her cheek
"such a sweet talker!" she rolled her eyes
"but you love it.." i smirked
"true.." she chuckled
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
"i'll get that.." i kissed her cheek, broke the hug and headed to the front door
"umma?"
"Yoona-ah, i miss you.."
"i miss you too, umma. Why didn't you call me you would come?"
"i've just met my client, then i passed here, that's why i didn't call you.."
"auntie?"
"oh hello, Jessica. How're you?"
"i'm fine, auntie. What about you?"
"i'm fine, sweety. Anyway, you're prettier than the last i saw you.."
"thank you, auntie.." my girlfriend blushed
"anyway, where's Yuri?"
"crap! I almost forget.."
"what's wrong, Yoong?"
"uhm, umma, i'm sorry for not telling you this. Yuri unnie is in the hospital.."
"what?? What happened?"
"uhm....yesterday...she...."
"okay, let's get into my car and bring me to her now! Yoong, you have to explain to me in the car.."
"alright, umma.."
Three of us entered the car quickly. I could see my mother's panic and worried face. I told her everything that happened yesterday. Actually, Jessica and i planned to go to her house after we visited Yuri unnie. Her mother called her and told her to come home soon, there's something she wanted to tell to Jessica.
We reached the place after 15 minutes on the road. We got out from the car while my mother's driver parked the car in the parking lot. I guided my mother to Yuri unnie's room, and she came inside immadiately.
Tiffany unnie jerked up when she noticed the door slammed to be opened. I could see she was still sleeping when we came. My mother greeted Fany unnie in motherly tone. Yeah, she's always like that.
"hello sweety, you must be Tiffany, right?"
"uhm, yeah.." Fany unnie nodded awkwardly
"i'm Yuri's mother.." umma smiled
"oh, it's nice to see you, auntie.." Fany unnie bowed
Me and Sica excused ourselves to go after we stayed for about an hour. Sooyoung unnie came and she went to cafetaria, accompanied Fany unnie to have breakfast. Meanwhile, my mother stayed in Yuri unnie's room.
We went to Sica's house with my mother's car. Mr.Lee, my mother's driver, he was told by my mother to drove us to the place. My girlfriend knocked the door soon after we reached the place. And not long enough, her mother came out. She greeted us and let us came in.
"so, mom, what do you want to talk about?" my girlfriend asked
"uhm, i want to tell you about me and your father.."
"and what is it?" Sica raised her brow
"we decided not to divorce.."
"really??"
"yes, both of us were selfish if we decided to. We thought about you and Krystal future, we didn't want to cause you two more trouble. We love you so much. You and your sister are the most precious thing for us.." Mrs.Jung held her daughter's hand
"so, can you please forgive us? I want you to come back, stay here, in your house.." Mrs.Jung added
Jessica nodded and hugged her mother. She cried, both of them cried in happiness. I could see my girlfriend is very happy right now. And of course, i'm happy too. I was glad, they could make it up eventually.
"i'll stay, but maybe for a week or two. Then, can i move to Yoona's place, mom?" Jessica broke the hug
"why? Why do you want to move?"
"Yoona and i are together now, mom.."
"what do you mean 'together'? A couple?"
"uhm, yes.." she nodded shyly
"is it true, Yoona?"
"yes, auntie.." i smiled shyly
"well, that's a good news.." Mrs.Jung smiled
"so, can i?"
"you can, darling. But promise me, you'll visit me more often.."
"i promise.." she said firmly
My girlfriend smiled widely at me, and i smiled back. We were relief, her mother could finally accept our relationship. And the best part is, she also allowed Jessica to move to my place. That means, we'll have more time together.
Tiffany POV
I sat on the chair beside Yuri's bed, while her mother sat opposite me. Sooyoung slept on the sofa. Yuri's mother is very kind, she even treated me nicely. I was envy to Yuri and Yoona who has a mother like her. Why i said that? Well, because my mother had passed away when i was young.
"sweety.."
"yes auntie?"
"when Yoona told me that Yuri likes you and she admitted it, i was very happy. I could see her beaming smile, sparkling eyes, and redden cheeks everytime i forced her to talked about you. She's never been like that, so happy. I mean, she always look happy, but i could see the real happiness in her eyes.." she tighten her grip on Yuri's palm
"Yuri is a good girl. She's faithful, cheerful, strong, wise, trustworthy, humble, sometimes being clumsy and dork. But yeah, that's Yuri. She's lovable.." she chuckled
"she's not hesitant to do something stupid for the people she loves. When she was 8, she ever gone out at night just to bought an ice cream because Yoona was craving for it. No wonder she jumped from second floor of the building to saved you.." she smiled
"i know her very well, even though she's not my biological daughter. And i love her like i love Yoona.."
"wait, what do you mean, auntie?" i furrowed my brow and she sighed
"Yuri was an orphan back then. I've been predicted that i couldn't get pregnant. So, my husband and i decided to take her as our child. But something happened few months later, i was pregnant. Maybe it was miracle or something.."
"so, Yoona is the only child you have? I mean, by blood.."
"that's right, sweetheart. But, after i gave a birth on Yoona, i never wanted to send Yuri back to orphanage. Although, my husband didn't agree, but it wouldn't be fair if i dumped her.." she said and i just nodded in response
"how about you sweety? I've heard, you were from California.."
"true, i came here because of my father's business. But he already come back home, and i chose to stay.."
"then, where do you live now? And with whom?"
"i live with Sunny and Taeyeon in their apartment.." i said and she nodded
"well, if you need help or something you can tell me or Yuri. Yuri and Yoona's friends are also my children.." she smiled sweetly and i smiled back

Yuri's mother went home after we had a long conversation. She was really nice. No wonder, Yoona and Yuri are always seen happy. But, why they chose to stayed in apartment? Aissh, why i felt curious about Yuri? Why do i want to know about her more?
"Fany-ah, where's auntie?"
"she gone home already, Soo.."
"i see, how's Yuri? Did doctor check her?"
"not yet.."
"well, i'm hungry, i'm gonna go get some snacks. Do you wanna come?"
"uhm, no.."
"okay, i'll just buy you something to eat. I won't be long, bye.."
"bye, Soo.."
I turned my attention back to the sleeping-girl in front of me. She was so pale. I miss her smile, yeah her dorky smile. Her grin, her clumsy behaviour, her laugh, even her y move on dance. Maybe i like her, just maybe.
Suddenly, i felt Yuri's hand moved a little. I'm sure, she just moved her hand. I decided to went out to call doctor, but i felt a grip on my wrist.
"Yuri?" i was right, she slowly opened her eyes
"Yuri, you're up!! Finally.." i cried in relief and instantly hugged her
"ouch!" she hissed
"i-i'm sorry, i'm too happy you wake up.." i scretched my head
"it's okay, Tiff.." she smiled weakly behind the oxygen mask
"wait, you recognize me?"
"of course, how can i forget about you? Since you're the only one who stuck in my brain.." i could feel my cheeks getting red with her words
"don't joke, you don't get amnesia?"
"what are you talking about?" she raised her brow
"nah, just forget it.." i smiled
