Kris looked at Amber from behind as she ran away from him. It was his fault, she was a caring woman yet he wasted her sincerity for another woman. He wasn’t after her but he just stood right there watching her disappeared from his view. Kris didn’t know why he couldn’t stop the tears from his eyes. He just realized after 5 years with her how important Amber was for him. But, his true love was gone because of himself, she was really far away from him right now and he wasn’t sure if he could get her back.

Coco was looking at Amber entered the backstage, she was with bunch of Super Junior’s members. The guys were teaching the little girl how to speak in Korean since she lived in Korea but, her Korean just like her mother and father. Fortunately, she was fluent in English so, Henry could speak comfortably with her

“There you are! I’ve been searching for you everywhere.” Amber immediately ran to approach her daughter then, she kneeled to make similar level of the height between them

“Mommy? Are you okay?”  Coco saw something different from Amber. “Your eyes looked red and puffy.”

“Errr…” Amber glanced at Henry very fast, she knew the guy had an suspicious eye for her. “I’m fine, maybe it’s just dust.”

“Really? Did you just cry? Who made you cry? Let me wushu that person, Mommy.” Coco bombarded Amber with many questions and it really made Henry and the others’ suspicions grow even more, but Amber gave a quick smile for her daughter as she patted her hair

“Who did this to you?” Donghae asked Amber with soft voice in order that she could speak comfortably

“I’m fine, really.” Amber just shook her head as she looked up at the owner of the question, but then, Henry approached her and grabbed her by her arm until she stood up and looked at his eyes

“What happened?” With glare, Henry asked her

She answered him with stern voice and rigid face. “I said I’m fine.”

He shook his head, “No, you’re not..”

“Dad, you’re here.” Coco saw Kris entering the room and she ran to him as she said, “Mommy looks gloomy and sad, but she didn’t want to say the reason why to me. Let’s go have dinner together tonight. Maybe, you can comfort and cheer her up.”

Kris looked at his daughter as his mouth in agape slightly because he knew the reason why Amber was acting like this now, he saw Amber being awkward towards him and Coco’s suggestion. “Well.”

Before Kris agreed to what Coco just said, Amber interrupted as she brought up Coco in her arms. “There’s no dinner together. Your father is busy, he wants to meet somebody. You sleep in my flat tonight.”

She headed to the door as she carried her daughter while Coco was still in confusion, but Kris immediately grabbed Amber’s hand to prevent her from running away 2.0 again after that incident today. “No, I’ve canceled it. You want to have dinner in your place? So, let’s go to your place.”

Amber glared at him as she gritted her teeth. “That person’s still waiting for you outside.”

Kris didn’t mind Amber’s words, his eyes directed to Coco who was confused and afraid of the tense between her parents. “Let’s have dinner in Mommy’s place, okay?” Kris gave her a sweet smile and caressed her cheek

“Okay!” Coco said and her expression changed into smiley face again

Kris put his hand on Amber’s waist and pushed her to approach the door, he turned around his head to see Super Junior’s members especially, Henry. “Nothing happened, stop interfering.”

Amber still gave Kris cold shoulders in the car, even when they all reached at Amber’s flat. It was only Kris who talked to their daughter, and everytime Kris asked something to Amber, she ignored all of his questions.

It was all because she had known the truth that he hid from her after all this time. It made her frustrated to know he was cheating on her and the woman was already over 40 years old. She really didn’t know what inside Kris’s mind. He wanted to divorce her and made that woman become Coco’s mother? She was more like Grandmother for Coco.

“It seems Song Qian taught you very well, this is so delicious.” Kris praised Amber’s cooking for their dinner but she didn’t answer or even move from her position. “Coco, you like it too?”

“Yes, it’s so good!” As always, the little girl was full of energy when it came to food. Amber’s gene really flew in her blood, although she completely looked like Kris but she acted just similar to his wife

“Mommy?” Coco called Amber who was quite since they entered the flat. “You’re still sad? Why don’t you talk?”

“Err..” Amber was surprised hearing her daughter, her eyes went from her then, directed to Kris who was looking at her also. “No, I’m glad we can be together like this. It’s really difficult to set the time for us together, right? Moreover, Daddy’s always busy.” Amber’s sarcasm to Kris really stab him into his heart and head

“I’m gonna try to stick with you guys more often.” Kris held Amber’s hand, he sat beside her so he could hold her tightly and make intense stare into her eyes

“How often is it?” Amber suddenly blurted out

“I’ve tried, I know I failed you.” Kris answered her immediately

“How hard you have tried?” She asked him again this time

He closed his eyes and tried to breathe. He tried as calm as he could because he knew their daughter was watching them right now. “I’m trying as hard as I can.”

“And what’s the proof?” She asked him cynically and straightforwardly

Suddenly, Kris’s phone rang in a very wrong time. He tried to ignore the sound and began to talk to Amber again, but his wife was already mad at him right now.

“Pick up the phone.” She told him

He d his pocket to search for his phone and when he read the display name, he was surprised and he kind of let out cussed words inside his head. “It’s not important.”

“It keeps ringing, it’s disturbing. Just pick it up.” Amber said to him coldly, she actually could bet 100 bucks that the one who called him was no other than Xu Jinglei.

“Excuse me.” Kris gave up, he stood up from his seat and answered the phone call. “Hello?” Kris went away from the dining room, he went to outside of Amber’s room.

“Kris, where are you?” Xu Jinglei asked him through the phone

“I’m with Amber and my daughter right now. Why are you calling me?”

“I’m still waiting for you.” The lady answered Kris’s question in her desperate voice. Kris as the greedy man he was, he admitted that he wanted to meet her too but this was all about his daughter who didn’t know anything around here right now

“I’m so sorry.” Finally, he said, rejecting Xu Jinglei’s invitation

The woman heaved a sigh through the phone, making Kris hear her disappointment. “So, you choose Amber over me, huh?”

He bit his bottom lip, not knowing what he should say to her anymore. Deep inside, he still cared for Amber because she was the mother of his child but on the other hand, he wanted Xu Jinglei. “It’s not like that. It’s about my daughter.”

“Oh… Your daughter… Right…” Xu Jinglei smiled bitterly in her place, thinking she was defeated by a little girl who stole Kris’s heart thoroughly

“Daddy?” Suddenly, Coco’s sweet voice distracted Kris’s mind from talking to Xu Jinglei. Her figure sat beside Kris’s tall body on the couch, with her cute expression she asked her father to accompany her going to the bed. “Have you finished?”

Kris looked at her petite body beside him, he gave her a sweet smile before ending up his conversation with another mistress. He whispered through the phone, “I’ll call you later, bye.”

Then, he caressed Coco’s hair after putting his phone into his pocket. “What’s up? You want a goodnight kiss?” Kris brought up his daughter on his lap then, he stood up as he carried her by his arms

She giggled when Kris kissed her on her chubby cheek, her laugh really reminded him of Amber’s laugh. It sounded soothing and cute at the same time, he missed to hear his wife’s laugh. He knew this was his fault, he felt guilty for her but his greedy mind kept telling him the other way around.

“Mom!” Coco shouted calling out Amber who was in the kitchen cleaning the dishes.

“Yes, sweetie?” Amber shouted from the kitchen as she took off the apron from her body and started to approach the direction of Coco’s voice

“I wanna go to bed right now.” The little girl needed Amber to pamper her before going to sleep

Amber saw Coco in Kris’s hands. Vexed, that was what Amber felt right now towards the guy. To be honest, she really didn’t want his dirty hand to lay on her daughter, moreover, he kissed her. But, as a kind mother for her daughter, she tried to smile and hide her feeling. “C’mon, just sleep on my bed.”

Amber led them to the bedroom and Kris was the one who laid down Coco on Amber’s king sized bed. He covered his daughter with Amber’s wide blanket before giving her kisses all over her face until she laughed out loud. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” She replied him with cute tone

“Sweet dreams.” Kris told her

“Take care of my Mommy.” Coco told him, he couldn’t answer her. It was like a big slap in his whole face when Coco said that. He realized that he rarely watched over Amber these days.

He made a forced smile for his daughter and gave a final kiss on her forehead. “Good night.” Then, he stood up seeing Amber crossed her arms in front of her chest as she looked at his moment with their daughter

“Mom?” Coco called out Amber

She changed her expression very fast when she was talking to her daughter and placing herself on the edge of the bed. “Good night, sweetheart.” She kissed her lips quickly

“Good night, mi amor.” Coco replied her

Amber got up from the bed, then, she followed Kris to get out of the bedroom. She turned off the light and gave blow kiss for her daughter before closing the door.

She changed her expression again into upset mode as she walked passing by Kris. Amber directed to the kitchen again, opening the cupboard as Kris looked at her from behind.

She took out a bottle of whiskey and a glass. “You wanna drink?”

“No, I don’t drink.” Kris refused Amber’s offer

“You don’t drink?” She scoffed after hearing what he just said to her as she shook her head. “Who made me drunk five years ago until I got pregnant?” She directed to the living room with her little friends, whiskey and glass
