Kris only stared at Jessica’s figure on the bed while his hand was being held by the woman. His back was leaned on the backboard of the chair as his free hand messed his hair up. He didn’t expect this moment to come, being trapped in this room with a woman who almost made him and his wife lose their baby. He disliked Jessica, there was this hatred filling his heart towards her but he was here right now with her.

“Please, tell Amber I’m so sorry.” Jessica begged him but Kris didn’t even open his mouth to reply her.

“I apologize of what I’ve done to you both especially, your wife.” She said it all with her weak voice, she only saw him in vague because her tears filled her eyes fully  

“You make her suffer, I’ll never forgive you for that.” Coldly, Kris said that to Jessica. He only hissed but his voice sounded sharp because of the words that came out

“It’s okay if you can’t forgive me… But, this time, I really mean it. I can’t meet Amber, I’m ashamed…”

Kris kept thinking of Jessica’s apology as he watched her sleeping. He wanted to trust her but there was something that made him prevent to do that because for him, she couldn’t be trusted.

“Kris, hey.” Amber was coming from the door along with Donghae and Krystal. The pregnant woman approached her own husband and saw his hand entangled with Jessica’s, she didn’t take it seriously but only put a smile on her face for Kris

“Thanks for accompanying my sister.” Krystal bowed her head and thanked the tall man while Kris got up from the seat as he slowly shoved Jessica’s grip from his hand

“Anytime.” Kris nodded and gave her a slight smile, Krystal knew it was a bitter smile although Kris tried to hide it.

“You should go home, Kris. Amber’s tired.” Donghae suggested it to the younger man and Kris agreed to him as he wrapped Amber’s waist

“But I wanna know about Jessica’s condition.”

Kris looked down at her figure while Donghae and Krystal followed his example, Kris rolled his eyes and lazily replied his wife. “Mrs. Wu, please, you’re pregnant. Let’s go home now.”

Amber flicked her tongue while Donghae and Krystal giggled seeing the married couple. Kris and Amber excused themselves to go home and when they were on the way to their house, Kris told everything to Amber about what Jessica had said to him before…

After a few days had passed, there was no bad rumor about them two anymore. Amber felt it was very good these days and soon, she would give birth to their first child.

“Amber…” Kris came from behind her while she saw horizon from the wide window in their room, back hugging her as he could smell lavender scent from her hair

Amber could smell his fresh scent after he was taking a shower in the night day. He had rough days lately because of EXO’s promotion, plus, he should be an alert husband for her sudden craving.

“Kris, I’m so nervous.”

“Well, just don’t be.” He was a bit sleepy, his brain was too slow to recognize Amber’s worries about giving birth. He rested his chin on her shoulder after kissing it to calm her although he was still clueless

“Don’t you know I’m afraid of giving your daughter birth?”

“You’re afraid? I thought you were fearless of anything.”

“Gosh! Kris, please!”

Kris chuckled softly because suddenly, she was mad at her. For him, she was just attractive when she was like this, her pouted lips, cute nose, almond eyes and her soothing voice never failed to amuse him everytime he was fatigue.

“I’ll always be by your side and our daughter loves her mother the most, so, she won’t hurt you. There’s no reason for you to be afraid.” Kris turned her around and she placed her hand around his neck as he hugged her by her waist to support her. “How was that? You’re not afraid anymore, right?”

Amber pinched her husband’s nose lightly, she felt blessed for having him although he was cheesy and disgusting sometimes. “What’s her name, then?”

“Err…” Kris had thought about it million times everyday in his life, he had searched for a great name for their daughter. “I like Kristina. You know, actually I wanna have a child with same name just like me and since, she’s a girl, so, it’s Kristina and I’ll call her Kris.”

“I don’t really like it.” Amber shook her head, leaving him just like that and she approached the bed

“Why? You’ll have 2 persons named Kris.”

“I want a name which is meaningful. Good night.” Amber buried herself under the blanket

“Hey, Amber! We haven’t finished yet!”

“I’m gonna go to meet Chanyeol tomorrow.”

“Chanyeol? Oh, okay, then.” Kris put his hands in his pocket and made move to the bed

“Why are you not jealous when it comes to Chanyeol but everytime I’m gonna go with Myungsoo or Henry, you’ll make a war with them?” All of sudden, Amber gave Kris this question randomly

“It’s just because Chanyeol is a dumb towered boy and he’s not your type while Myungsoo and Henry totally have potential to snatch you from me.” Kris gave Amber an explanation and a quick smile before going to sleep. “Goodnight, love.” Then, he kissed her forehead quickly and prepared for nice sleep
