“Guess what?” ________ whispered to Joon after she entered the dance studio that he was practicing in.

Joon looked at his girlfriend curiously as he wiped the sweat off his forehead and neck.

“I had lunch at the place where we first met and not only that, the waiter led me to the same table where you first saw me and it just made me reminisce, everything about earlier brought me back to our first moment.” She giggled as she remembered how she met Joon.

Date a guy who knows how to move to every rhythm, he can show you moves of grace and perfection.

__________ was having brunch with her girlfriends at a mall she rarely visited for the mere reason that it was more than an hour away from her house. She didn’t like going to places that were too out of her way but since her friends wanted to try out a new café, she agreed to meet up with them there not knowing that her trip to the mall would turn out to be such a blessing in disguise.

__________ was facing the window that looked out to the park of the mall. She saw a group of guys assemble their speakers and fix their formation then started dancing like they owned the place. Soon after more people joined like a flash mob and it was then that they attracted more attention because of their dancing skills.

_________ smiled in amusement and appreciation of the art. It didn’t take long before she only focused on one guy, one of the main dancers who moved smoothly and captivatingly.

He caught her staring at him yet that didn’t make her look away because she’s too enchanted by his dance and good features to look somewhere else. Their eyes met and their gazes did not leave each other until he bumped into one of his groupmates, causing him to stumble and lose track of the choreography. ________ chuckled when she saw the look of embarrassment on the guys face, he looked back at her again and smiled at her with a silly grin, an expression that made her blush.

Her friends noticed the connection between the two and started to tease _________ for flirting.

She denied their accusations and tried to distract them by asking one of the waitresses for their bill since they were already finished eating. She then casually looked back to the dancers, only to find out that she couldn’t find that one guy that caught her attention. Her eyebrows furrowed thinking that she lost sight of the cute guy, before she could even stand up to look closer for the guy, a hand softly touched her shoulder, making her look back in surprise.

“Hi. I’m Lee Joon.” He introduced himself in a very friendly and charming manner. His face was still flushed from dancing earlier yet he didn’t take the time to freshen up, he rushed inside the restaurant knowing that he couldn’t let the beautiful girl he spotted simply walk away, especially after seeing his clumsy side.

“My group and I will be performing at a place not too far from here later tonight. I was wondering if you and your friends would like to by to watch us. Here are complimentary tickets. I hope to see you there.”

Date a guy who can dance whether it is hip-hop or jazz, classic or modern. He will keep you breathless until the final routine ends. And as the bass booms louder and stronger, your heart will move to the beat.

Her friends urged her to go so that they could treat the event like a first date but in all honesty she didn’t need to be convinced so hard. She already had said a loud ‘YES!’ in her mind when Joon asked and oh boy was she was so lucky and happy that she went to the event. The performance that Joon’s group did was spectacular. She found out that their group, known as MBLAQ, already has a group of fangirls. Each of the members showed different dancing skills yet she only had eyes for Joon, and the same went for him. Joon looked for her face in the crowd and when he did find her in the audience, he made sure that she knew that he spotted her by winking at her. For his solo act, he showed a mix of ballet and modern dance, even some comical dance that made her stomach hurt from laughter.

After the performance, Joon quickly went out of the backstage area to hopefully catch __________ to talk to her more. He’s guilty of being enticed by the stranger and luck seemed to have been on his side.

Joon thanked _________ for coming and nervously asked her if she liked the show.

“You were all amazing.” She answered with a somewhat casual yet safe reply.

“Hmm...what about me?” He asked with a childish tone of voice, obviously only wanting her opinion about him.

“You were awesome.” She raised her two thumbs up. “Very cool.”

“Cool enough for you to go out on a date with?” Joon grinned.

Since she didn’t want to look easy, ________ declined but did state that she would go to another performance to assess him again and maybe then she would consider going out with him.

“Well then, if that’s your condition then I also have a proposal.” _________ did not expect that answer, nevertheless she still kept calm and asked him what he had in mind.

“You’ll be the only one watching, I’ll do a special event just for you.”

“Who did you go out with?” Joon asked suspiciously. He clearly remembered she told him that she’d be going somewhere else earlier.

“Just some friend. I’ll go buy you a cold drink.” She mumbled and quickly stepped out making Joon feel fishy about the situation.

Recently Joon noticed his girlfriend become secretive about the places that she goes to and who she has been meeting up with. He didn’t want to think of the worst case scenario.

They were and still are happy, right?

He will show you emotions through dance, you will feel the truth in his moves and the intensity of his feelings.

“I don’t know how to dance.” She shyly admitted to Joon when he asked for her hand to dance with him.

“Trust me. I’ll guide you.” He had an infectious smile and he really expressed how he always dreamed of sharing a dance with the one he has strong feelings for.

Not wanting to let Joon down, _________ hesitantly stood up and was led to the middle of the dance floor by her boyfriend.

Joon got her hands and gently placed them properly around his shoulders before wrapping his hands around her waist.

He swayed slowly with her, whispering sweet words that made her blush as he guided her body along with his. Their slow dance sparked more magic for them as their bodies remained close and their eyes only on each other as if they were hypnotized by one another. After feeling more comfortable about it, ________ decided to be less conscious of her moves and depended on Joon’s encouragement. She rested her head against his broad shoulders her face close to the crook of his neck, and this time it was Joon’s turn to blush.

“_________...” He softly called out to her making her look up at him. “It feels so nice holding you like this.” The setting may be simple but it was undeniable that a romantic atmosphere surrounded the two. smiled sweetly at him before taking initiative to lean closer to his face and kissed him on the lips. The kiss was short yet blissful and they were able to savor each moment.

Even as the music ended, the couple continued to slow dance and got lost in their own little world.

Although he may look strong and cool on the outside, Joon is actually insecure and sensitive on the inside.

“I didn’t do anything wrong, right?” Joon tried to think back, trying to recall if he did anything that would upset _________ or make her have a change of heart. Sure, they may have had a few arguments about his idea of romance at times and how different it is from __________’s.

It’ll be hard to find to find a guy who can move as pure as a dancer and have his moves present a story filled with emotions, he’ll be as honest as the way he moves in that stage. He’ll dance his heart out on that stage and he’ll dance his heart out for you.

“Can’t you stop ripping your shirt? Do you always have to include that in your choreography?” ________ asked after seeing the new dance routine that the group had. Everything was perfect until Joon showed skin, flaunting his buff chest and abs. She tried hard not to interfere sound like a jealous controlling girlfriend but she spoke before her mind processed her thoughts.

“Why babe? Don’t tell me you don’t enjoy it.” Joon asked in a teasing tone after putting on a fresh plain shirt.

________ scoffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. She cleared before lecturing her boyfriend.

“Let me tell you something about the difference between most men and women. Women get with what she hears, the sweet words melt their hearts while guys get with what they see, it’s more of the visual impact for them. Although girls squeal when they see you take off your shirt, that should only tickle their fancy for a while but then you always keep feeding their fantasies.” She pouted. Although she’s proud that her boyfriend’s talent is being loved by many, she couldn’t help but feel a bit possessive when girls get to see Joon rip his shirt and keep that image of him for their daydreaming moments. Does he always have to keep reminding them that he has a y body? Isn’t his dance alone charming enough?

Quickly absorbing and understanding her point-of-view, Joon sat in front of his girl and then gently placed one of his hands on the side of her face.

“My moves might belong on the dance floor or on different stages but you have to know and remember that my heart will always belong to you.” Joon assured ________ with his sweet and sincere words. He leaned closer to her and gave her a breathtaking kiss on the lips, making her feel that he is true and that he only belongs to her. At the end of the day, it’s only her that he needs to come alive. She is the only one for him.

Joon knows that there are better dancers than him, heck there are plenty of guys out there that can outwit him, but the mere fact that she chose him, that she is still staying with him against all odds is enough to make his heart shuffle. 

“Ayyy...get a different room!” G.O playfully scolded the couple who were making them single people jealous.

“Hyung let’s just leave. I can’t practice here any longer, who knows what they have done here when we’re not present.” Thunder got his belongings and ushered everyone out leaving the two alone in the room.

“So…did I just please my girlfriend’s ears, eyes and lips?” Joon asked with a knowing look since ________ was blushing.

Joon snapped back to reality when he heard a sudden sound that alerted him. He looked to where _________ left her bag and figured that it was her cellphone ringing.

He went through her bag and fished out her phone, an unknown number registered on the screen and when he was about to answer it the caller already dropped the call.

Joon quickly checked outside the door and when he saw that __________ was nowhere in sight yet, Joon decided to snoop around her inbox.

He squinted his eyes when he realized that the same unregistered number that was calling just a few seconds ago had an exchange of messages with ________ stored in her inbox.

Just then a new message from the mysterious number came in and he read right away.

‘It was a great day again with you. Don’t blame me if you’re too tired since you’re the one who wanted to go all out ‘Ms. Hardcore’.haha See you soon.’

“What are you doing with my phone?” ________’s voice startled Joon a bit but instead of being embarrassed of being caught, Joon decided to confront ________.

“Are you cheating on me?” Joon asked dead serious.

“WHAT?! What made you even think that?” _________ was clearly perplexed as to how Joon jumped into that conclusion.

“You receive calls that make you step away from me and you text a lot nowadays and when I ask you who it is you always say it’s nobody. You go to places without me or your friends knowing where exactly you are. And the way your body strains after coming home late as if you’ve done something very tiring to let your body hurt that way. I saw the messages now ________. Is this person you’ve been seeing behind my back?!” Joon unconsciously raised his voice as he shoved the phone against __________, his nerves getting the best of him.

“Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re accusing me of cheating!” She answered back and snatched the phone from Joon. She didn’t even look at her phone to check what Joon was talking about because she knows very well that she has nothing to hide to make it look like she hasn’t been faithful.

“Then what do you want me to think, huh? You don’t even tell me where you go when you’re gone for hours, you hide things from me and when I ask you about some things you simply try to avoid having to answer my queries. You’ve been so secretive so tell me how should I take those?! Because it seems to me like those are some pretty strong signs _________!”

“I’ve been taking dance classes!” She yelled as she finally revealed to him the reason behind her secretive ways and changes.

“I am trying hard to learn how to dance better for you. I wanted to be able to at least catch up with your dancing skills so that I won’t be embarrassed anymore and that I could at least show some confidence to dance with you in front of people. The messages you said you read, those are from my dance teacher who also happens to be a good family friend. The reason for my exhaustion was because I practiced for hour using killer high heels. The reason why I kept all these a secret from you was simply because it was meant to be a surprise!” She was already emotional by the end of her confession.

________ witnessed how hard Joon worked to perfect the dances, how he trained for hours sacrificing his sleep and food just to be at his best shape and present everyone with another mind-blowing and heart-racing number. Even when she casually compliments the choreography of a Kpop music video, Joon would be learning the routine soon after and dance it to her as soon as he aces it just so she can be entertained. She admired him all the more and decided that she wanted to at least be a good dancer for him so she wouldn’t hesitate anymore when he asks her to dance with him. She wanted to stop rejecting him to save face or to prevent any embarrassment. She didn’t want people to talk about how an amazing dancer is dating someone who have two left feet. She wanted to be confident enough to dance with Joon in front of any crowd, she wanted him to be able to somewhat show her off that’s why she sought out the help of a close friend of her family who is also a talented choreographer. Although Joon has told her not to be pressured because of him, she couldn’t help but feel intimated and that’s why she became determined to meet Joon’s talent in dance at least halfway or just have enough talent not to be ashamed of.

Joon stood there speechless, shocked and very guilty. He looked down and couldn’t meet ________’s eyes. He hated himself at that very moment and wished he could take back the last few minutes.

“I can’t believe that you don’t trust me. I didn’t know you would hurt me this much.” She said disappointedly and wiped away the tears from her face. “I guess I just did all of those in vain.” She bitterly said and got her back before making her way towards the door.

Joon didn’t even attempt to stop ________ because he knew there was nothing he could say at that time to make everything suddenly better. He messed up big time and he had to think of ways to make it up to _________.

He will do his best to learn new moves, it might take some time, but eventually he will master it. He might trip, get tangled up and get bruised doing so, but he’ll do it just so you could see him move for you.

Now you might think ‘Joon’s already talented in dancing. He graduated from a school that specialized in the art of dancing so how is he going to struggle to learn a new dance?’

Well…in his attempt to gain forgiveness from _________ and get her back, Joon decided to apologized and repay all her efforts in learning to dance for him by dancing some powerful moves in high heels.

He looked like such a silly fool dancing in front of her house but he was not fooling around though and gave it his all. He showed passion in his dance and didn’t do any mediocre easy steps just to make is less painful for him.

“AH!” Joon bit his lip after he let out a yelp after doing a quick fast step that almost sprained his foot.

Fearing that he might seriously hurt himself, _________ stopped Joon and asked him what he was doing.

“I’m sincerely apologizing.” He walked with a limp as he still wore the heels. “Can I take it off before I continue with my apology?”

“Please do.” Even ________ felt uncomfortable seeing Joon in those stilettos, she felt bad for her baby and momentarily forgot that she was mad. Poor little boy his feet must be killing him.

Joon let out a sigh of relief when the soles of his feet hit the ground just perfectly, it felt like heaven compared to seconds ago. He just gained more respect to women who can stand in heels for hours and now felt sorrier that ________ endured all of those hours training in high heels just for him.

Joon took _________’s hand in his and proceeded with what he had to say.

“I never meant to hurt you _________. I became jealous and I got scared that maybe you got tired of me, that you found someone better than me.”

“I should be the one nervous because of all the girls staring and drooling at you.”

“But none of them make my heart do pirouettes. You are the only one that makes my heart beat louder than speakers. You keep me in check and you make me come alive even after a tiring day. You motivate me to be a better me, to reach my dreams that you share with me. I have never met someone who matched me the way you do. I’m sorry that I didn’t think things through and quickly judged the situation irrationally. I know I still lack a lot and I’m still far from being a boyfriend you can brag about but I promise to work on it and I’m hoping you’ll be patient enough to stick around with me and help me be that Mr. right for you. I trust and believe you more than I do with myself. You are the only one I want and I’m yours alone. I love you so much _________.” Believe it or now, it was the first time that Joon actually said those three magical words to _________. Although he texted it in messages before, it’s the first time that he became very vocal about it.

“You’re wrong Joon.” Joon stiffened, he thought that she would be disagreeing with everything that he said, that it would be too late and that they won’t be able to make things work again.

“You are someone I do already show off to the world. I’m so proud of you. Although I was hurt, I can imagine and understand how the situation may have looked like. I’m sorry if I made you feel doubt about our relationship but trust me, I have never been this happy or in love with anyone the way I have been with you. I forgive you, I know that we will only learn from this experience so we can have a stronger, more trusting relationship. I love you and I do feel that we’ll overcome future troubles just as long as we continue to be each other’s strengths…you know what they say, it takes two to tango.”

Joon was relieved that ________ didn’t give up on him. His heart was overjoyed and his thankfulness to have _________ in his life couldn’t be compared to anything else.

The two embraced each other tightly before engaging in a passionate lip-lock, holding each other like they really never wanted to let go.

Joon took ________ by surprise as he began to dip her body. He placed his hand on her upper back and supported her body while he dipped half of her body backwards. She then remembered being taught this move so she lifted on of her legs and slightly wrapped it around Joon’s waist.

Both their eyes shined and showed a glint of excitement because of this seemingly ‘dirty dance’ inspired act.

“Now my love, would you do me the honor of showing your newly learned moves? Shall we dance?”

He will dance to captivate you, so open your heart to him and you will not regret it one bit. He might not always have the words to tell you how he feels for you, but he can dance it to you.

He can make your relationship feel like you’re living in a teenage dream, he will make it exciting with every new move he’ll make.

Be with a guy who can dance and meet your moves. Whether he is a pro or not, he’ll make you smile and make you dance with him, adjusting to accommodate your steps so that you both will be synchronized with each other.

When you two dance together better make sure it’s for forever.
