It’s been a week and as usual, I had a lot of work to do. Kris gave me a lot of things to do again. I don’t know if he’s doing this on purpose or it’s just normal to have this workload. I barely ate lunch because I had to go back to work to finish some papers due for Kris’s company. Damn. Now I realized being a farm girl is more relaxing than an office worker. I should’ve told my grandparents I want to be a farm girl forever.   “Umm. Miss Jung? Mr. Wu is asking for you.” Oh what now? I’ve been going inside his busy office all day! It’s almost time to go home and there’s more work? Can I please take a break? I deserve it! “Thanks. I’ll be there in a minute.” I replied. “Mr. Wu said it’s urgent so you have to go now.” Oh God. This is unbelievable. “Okay.”    I stood up quickly marched outside my office and travelled to Kris’s. I knocked on the door and then I went inside.   “You called for me, boss?” I said in a sarcastic tone of voice. I am so tired of barging in and out of this room. I wish he’d tell me to go home now. “Can you massage my shoulders for me? Please?” WHAT THE ! THAT IS NOT MY JOB! “Are you kidding me?” I said as relaxed as possible. I don’t want to cause a commotion in here. Besides, I’m just new. “No. Come on. Your ex-boyfriend’s shoulders are aching.” Okay, I’m glad he knows he’s my ex but massaging him shoulders is still a no. “I’m out of here.” And before I can grab the doorknob he shouts. “HEY!” Ugh. How dare you Kris? Don’t ‘hey’ me! “I’m busy thanks to you. Ask someone else to massage your ing shoulders.” “I’ll ask someone else to finish your job if you massage my shoulders.” Oh so what he’s trying to do? I’m not the kind of person who someone can bribe just so I could escape from my work. I mean it’s assigned to me in the first place. Walk-in closets are an exemption. “Not gonna work. Bye.” “Damn it!” I heard Kris shout inside his office. What the heck.    ---   I had to work overtime to finish my work. It was already dark outside and I’m just about to go home. Kris didn’t come to my office after I said no to his massage-my-shoulders request believe it or not. I don’t know where he is right now. I’m not sure if he’s still here or he’s already at home. Everyone except me already went home in my department.    “Miss Jung?” It was Kris’s assistant. “Yes?”  “Mr. Wu asked me to give this to you.” She handed me over a note. “Oh. Thanks.”  I opened the little blue paper and when I opened it, it said: ‘You didn’t massage my shoulders. How about dinner? My treat! :D’ Ugh. What am I going to do with him? He’s so overly attached. I replied to the message by writing at the bottom right of the paper. I wrote ‘NO’ in bold letters and gave the paper to his assistant. “See you tomorrow.” I said.    As soon as the assistant got out of my room, I fixed all my things quickly and ran to the elevators. I am 100% sure that Kris is going to drag me for dinner.    I got inside the elevator without being caught and I was so relieved.    Oh here comes the ground floor.   FREEDOM AT LAST!   “Let me guess. You said no.” GOD DAMN IT! He keeps popping out everywhere!   “How the heck did you get here so fast?!” I blurted. “I was here half an hour ago. I had a feeling you would say no so I decided to stay here, wait to see you looking excited to escape and then kidnap you.”  . “Look, I appreciate everything but I just want to go home and rest. Please.” “But it’s food. You don’t say no to food.” “I do when I’m tired. I just want to go home. Please.”  I begged. “Are you trying to fool me?” He asked cocking his head to the side. “No. I am tired. Look at me! I look like a panda!” I shouted. He stared at me for a long time. “Hmm.” He thinks I’m lying?! Oh I’m out of here! “Get out of my sight! You’re just pissing me off.” I said, pushed him to the side and then marched out of the building. “Hey! Wait for me!”   This guy is such a pain in the neck! I can’t live like this forever! I may have a decent job but a guy like him kills me!   “Sun Hee!” I heard him shouting behind me. Should I run for it? No. These heels are too high. Just ignore him Sun Hee. “Wait!” He said blocking my way. “I’m sorry.”  “Look, I know what you’re trying to do. You buy me these things and bribe me with good things during work and ask me for lunch or dinner or whatever but none of these things will work. You’re not getting me back Kris.” I walked out and left him. “What, for punching your boss who ed you? I just did because I had to!” I heard him say behind me. It made me stop walking. I am getting so mad again. “You did not have to do that! We weren’t together anymore.”  “But you knew how much I loved you. I did that because I still did.” “It’s not just about the firing thing from my job Kris. I told you I tried a lot of times but I still fail at it. I fail at loving or pleasing someone when I’m in a relationship. Remember the things you told me to do? Be sweeter, be more caring and act like you love me a bit more? It was so hard for me Kris and I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to disappoint you. I broke up with you because I wanted to stop you from expecting more from me.” “It’s okay. I still want you to try. Please.” “No
