I’ve been punished by my grandparents for 3 months. Because of all the lies I told them, I had to work for them. They said I needed disciplinary action. My grandparents don’ tolerate lying so they got really mad at me. It was hard to tell them the reason why I got fired from my job so I had to tell a little lie. I told them I quitted my job. If they find out that I got fired because I hooked up with my boss, I’m not just going to be punished for 3 months. I’ll be punished for life. I’m busy finding a job nowadays. Ever since I was free to go out again, I passed a lot of resumes. I have to find a new job. I don’t care what company I get into. The important thing is I just need to get a new one. I’m working part-time at a café 10 minutes away from my house while I’m waiting for the companies to call me for interview. Unfortunately, only 2 companies called because they’re the only ones who have vacant positions. I’m still not sure if I was qualified for the position so I’m still waiting for their call again. “So, did any company call you?” Jae Hyun asked me. He’s my co-worker. “No calls yet.” I sighed. “I wish they’ll call sooner.” “They will. You mentioned you worked at a big company before right? Why wouldn’t they hire you? You worked there and you gained special skills and I’m sure they would want that. If they don’t, they’re making a terrible mistake.” “Thanks for the encouragement.” “No problem.” He paused. “Oh customers.” “Hi. Welcome! What would you like?” I said lively. I was taught to do it this way. “Espresso and a Hot chocolate please.” “Coming right up.” I smiled. Oh I miss dating. Looking at this two makes me jealous. “Next please. What can I get you?” “Brewed coffee.” “Okay. Next please.” When I laid my eyes on the next customer, I was surprised. Why’s he here? He shouldn’t be here. Besides, who would drives a lot of miles just to go to this coffee shop? Maybe he’s here to see me. Well, I have no time to talk. “What are you doing here?” I asked in an unfriendly way. He’s the reason why I’m jobless now. “Is that the right way to act to a customer?” Oh he’s pissing me off. “Jerk.” I mumbled. “What was that?” He asked. “Nothing! What would you like sir?” I asked lively. “Coffee and French toast.” “Okay.” “What time are you going to finish with work?” What the heck is this guy planning to do? If he’s planning to talk to me and apologize, I have no time for that. There’s no way I can forgive him. “Sorry but I’m busy. Next please.” “Then I’ll just wait.” He said smirking. Ugh! I hate him. “Who was that? Your boyfriend?” “Ex-boyfriend. He’s the reason why I got fired from my job.” “Oh.” “Jae Hyun. Can I extend my shift? I don’t want to go because this guy is going to wait for me.” “No you can’t. Someone’s taking your shift after.” Great. “Okay. I guess I just have to run later on.” Jae Hyun laughed. “Run fast.” --- My shift already ended and Kris is still here waiting for me. Ugh. What does he want? I don’t want to do anything that involves him. My blood boils when I see him. Anyway, when I got out of the café, Kris followed me immediately. I ignored him when he started calling my name. “Hey! Let’s talk!” He sho
