Part - 1

Gerardo is just starting his career as a civil engineer.  Hired by one of the biggest construction company in the country, intelligent and everything seems to be going his way.  While KimVerly just graduated as an architect..her proud parents prepared a celebration party to introduce her to the world of architectural and engineering business. Gerardo's boss, who happened to be a close friend of KimVerly’s  family was one of those invited  and brought with him Gerardo and his other employees.

Everybody was already waiting in that huge ballroom of the Hotel..Talking, drinking, socializing, etc.  This is the first time Gerardo attended a gathering like this big. Announcement was made…the star of the celebration is about to enter the hall. KimVerly entered with her parents, so beautiful in her long pink, flowing gown...her smile seemed to brighten the room. When Gerardo saw her....he was mesmerized by her beauty. KimVerly  was then presented, dinner followed.

Gerardo continued to look her way secretly hoping someone will introduce him to her, then finally his boss stood as KimVerly is coming their way to greet him. They were introduced to each other and the rest of the group. Music continued. The night is getting late....he wanted to get near her and ask her for a dance but he never got a chance.  Across the hall, their eyes met...his heart pounded and thought, “what is in this woman that hypnotized me”.

Unconsciously, he moved towards her and introduced himself, ”Hi, I am Gerardo”. She responded...”Yes, I remember..You were introduced to me earlier”.  He reached for her hand as she gracefully extended it to him..for a while Gerardo did not want to let go of her hand. His eyes was fixed on her beautiful face and finally he asked..”Can I have this dance”? In the middle of the room they danced as if they have known each other a long time. He’s so nervous as they dance. His eyes focused on her, and he thought how beautiful she is.

The party is finally over. Gerardo's friend came to him and said, “I was watching you..It is hard to let go of someone so beautiful but it would be harder , if you know her mother, I suggest you stop now, many have tried but no one succeeded”. Gerardo replied..”Stop it, I was just attracted to her and that is all. I will probably not see her again after tonight”
