Min yeon's POV :

today i will meet my mother-in-law for the first time

yes! I'm getting married.

i found out that my parents have set an arranged marriage for me with mu appa's boss's son

my umma says he is the perfect match for me.

she says he is handsome,rich and quite a gentleman

i don't know what to do? to be happy or to be sad.

i haven't ever had a boyfriend let alone someone i love.

i don't know how it feels like to be in love but people say it is the best feeling in the world.

but people say a lot of things.

I haven't even met the guy who is going to be my future husband but I don't care anymore.

i have to do what my mom says because that's how i have been taught.

i should respect my parents with their decision and will.

but it would be nice to experience love.

i wonder if he agrees on this marriage?

he may be a gentleman but this is marriage. he wouldn't want to marry a girl who he has never met before in his entire life

i just hope he would be what my mom describes him to be:

PERFECT!

not because i think i am too good for him but so he could treat me kindly.

i don't want this guy to shower me with presents and money. no i don't need that even if I'm poor

but just to be kind.

i haven't met this guy and i already have pictured him in my head

i shouldn't get my hopes high. then when he would treat me like nobody then i wouldn't get disappointed

why am i thinking like that? have i fallen in love with the virtual image i have created in my mind about this perfect guy who is soon to be my husband?

the door opens. Mrs Kim peeks in the room

"Min yeon! are you ready? she is here."

my thoughts have to wait. i shouldn't think so much.

i just hope my life would change for the better.

Min yeon went down to the living room where her future mother-in-law was seated.

she was wearing a skin colored dress that made her look flawless.

when she reached where the elders were seated she made a complete 90 degree bow to show her manners.

Mrs. Kim introduced her daughter," this is my daughter, Kim min yeon."

she expected a pat on the head but Mrs. Choi pulled her in a tight hug,"Omo! you are so pretty. you are exactly how i pictured you to be."

min yeon smiled and bowed her head," kamsahambida"

"And she is so full of manners"

Mrs Choi pulled min yeon to sit next to her on the couch.

"i just cant wait for the wedding."

Mrs Kim asked,"so should we talk about all the preparations for the wedding?"

to which Mrs Choi replied," oh! i wanted to talk about something related to the matter. since my son is busy in Taiwan right now how about we have a wedding just through the papers and min yeon will move in the apartment she is going to share with my son. when he gets back we can have a proper wedding and invite our close friends?"

"well that seems reasonable too"

"then its settled then. min yeon will shift to her new apartment tomorrow and the paper work will be done too"

min yeon just smiled.

i hope this turns out well. she thought.
