'Gamsahamnida!' Infinite chimed as the whole auditorium cheered.

L's smile glowed throughout the performance, why?

Because he knew someone would be watching.

Someone who he knew would keep her promise.

As they walked down the stage, L quickly got dressed down and hopped into the car with the following members.

It was already winter and everyone is snuggling around in the dorm that was rented for the next three months.

L starts to take out his phone and swipe for Jiyeon's messages.

'Jiyeon ssi. How are you today? Did you watch the infinite perform?' 

'Minwoo ssi. Neh I watched. It was awesome. How was your day?'

'I had a tiring day. Those infinite members are so hard to serve!' L chuckled as he read his own message.

'Really? Then have a rest then!' 

'mmm! I will then. Remember our promise! <3' 

'Yah. Myungsoo yah! What did you promise me?!' Sunggyu nagged at L, who smirked at him.

'Mian hyung. I'll stop it right now.' L chuckled as he shove his phone aside.

'I hate people who are in love.' Sunggyu whined as he lay down on his bed.

'Are you sure you are not just jealous?'  Woohyun laughed as he lay beside Sunggyu.

Sunggyu crunched up his nose and went into snoozing mode.

L smiled and turn away from Sunggyu, and rest his head on the desk, looking at the rose, resting beautifully in a new vase.

'Jiyeon ssi...' He whispered her name as he dozed off to sleep.

Jiyeon felt butterflies in her tummy.

She puts her phone in her bag, and picks up her walking stick.

'Oh? You're going out already?' Qri called out for her as she passed over the baskets of rose to Jiyeon.

'mmm! I'll see you later.' Jiyeon cheered.

As she slowly walked out of the door, Joon, as usual, waited outside their house.

'Oh ANnyeong!' Joon brighten up as he held Jiyeon's basket of roses.

Jiyeon nodded and smile as Joon lead Joon out of the building.

'After this I'll pick you up at the bus-stop.' Joon said as he drove.

'So remember!' 

Jiyeon gulped at the thought of it.

It was her checkup today.

She had been waiting for a long time, to get her eyes done.

She loved to see again.

As she got out of the car, Jiyeon slowly walked around the familiar streets as she breathed in the sweet breeze.

She could imagaine L quietly walking by her side as she sells her roses.

If L were by her side now, how L would cheer her around, bring her to cafes nearby, and how he would hold her hands, and lead her along the streets.

As soon as Jiyeon finished her sales, she stood by the bus-stop.

There goes her imagination.

She could picture L standing by her side, refusing to sit at the bench as she wouldn't want to. 

She could imagine a young handsome boy, smiling whenever Jiyeon waves goodbye to him.

As Joon reached, he honked, causing Jiyeon to break out of her imagination.

'Jiyeon ah!'  Joon called out for her as he got out of his car and took Jiyeon's basket.

'Come! Qri's here as well!' 

'Jiyeon ah!! Hurry! We're going to be late!' Qri shouted.

Jiyeon hopped into the car, and Joon helped her buckle up.

'Are you nervous?' Qri popped her head into the front seat, looking at Jiyeon.

Jiyeon smiled a little, and nodded. But her expression couldn't hide from Qri and Joon.

'Jiyeon ah...' Qri patted her shoulders.

'YAH IDIOT!' Joon hissed at Qri, and pushed her back to her seat with his muscular arm.

'I'm driving! I can't see if you are blocking...' 

Qri pouted as the whole ride became quiet.

'So... Doctor?' Joon asked in a calm tone, as he leaned forward to the doctor.

The doctor cleared his throat, and lift off his glasses.

'I have good news... And bad news...' The doctor announced.

Jiyeon's heart started beating faster.

'What's the bad news?' Qri asked, as she bite her own nails.

'The bad news is... It would be a 70 to 30 percent to win the operation'

'Wait....' Joon interrupted the doctor.

'So you mean...'

'OUR JIYEON CAN GET TREATED?!'

Jiyeon's heart almost exploded out of her chest.

'I can?' She asked.

'Congratulations Ms Park.' The doctor smiled. 

Jiyeon's smile glowed in the car as they rode back home.

'YAH! Let's go eat!' Joon's voice bombarded the whole car.

Jiyeon shook her head.

'I don't want to. I got to get home.' She laughed.

'Oh? You want to talk to Minwoo?' Qri asked.

Joon's face went duller than ever.

'Ah wae?! He's not even here. Let's go eat!'

'Aninde.' Jiyeon shook her head.

'I got to water my roses. I've forgotten to water them in the afternoon.'

Joon sighed as he walked back to his house.

He felt a sense of sour feeling in his chest.

'Must Jiyeon be so close to him? What is he?' Joon whined to himself as he plop himself on the bed.

He's always the first guy that protects Jiyeon, whenever she gets into trouble.

At the first sight, when Joon met her, he knew she had to be his.

No matter how special is Jiyeon.

He didn't even mind taking care of Jiyeon and to be her eyes for his whole entire life.

Who's that minwoo guy anyway? Is he really a good person? 

Doesn't he have any motives?

These thoughts kept Joon the whole night.

He needs to find out who that Minwoo guy is.

He should have seen clearer when he first met him.

Joon sat up, determined.

'I'm not going to let Jiyeon out of my sight! Ever!'

4 weeks later:
 

Jiyeon held onto her phone.

Why isn't L replying? 

She remembered texting him on the second day, where she broke the news to him.

But since then, he hasn't been replying.

'Maybe he's just busy...' Qri said as Jiyeon sat in front of the dinning table.

Jiyeon nodded as she walked back to her room.

Today's the day where she gets her operation done.

She bravely took out all her courage and texted the last message to him.

'Minwoo ssi. Today's my operation. I hope it will succeed. So that I can see you when you come back. Are you there?'

Jiyeon waited for his reply.

But after 20 minutes, there was just silence.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated, causing her to startle a little.

'Yeobuseyo?' SHe quickly picked up her call.

'Oh Jiyeon ah! Are you ready??' 

Her heart dropped when she heard Joon's voice.

'Ah... Neh... I am.' 

As Jiyeon slowly walked out of the house, her heart was full of confusing feelings.

She's nervous about the operation, that's for sure.

But on the other side, her insides were all twisting and churning.

'Why hasn't he contacted me? I hope he doesn't forget our promise...' Jiyeon thought as she grabbed onto the seatbelt.

Joon saw the nervous Jiyeon, and grabbed her hand tightly.

'Gwaenchana Jiyeon ya... I'll be here for you.' He comforted her.

OHHO! 

Jiyeon's operation is coming!

And why hasn't L reply??
