CHAPTER 12 - HEADLINE

I walked back and forth at Jaejoong’s kitchen thinking of a way to get out of this mess. I looked again at the bigger picture of us in front of me. Jaejoong took out his laptop to check the other sites for news. And as expected it’s the headline on all entertainment sites.

Jaejoong sat there staring at the screen of his laptop.

Aish.. because of me he is being dragged into this mess.

“Mianhe… Jeongmal mianhe… it’s all my fault, you shouldn’t be involved in this mess.” I said while bowing continuously.

He kept on staring on his computer, “There is just one thing that is bothering me….” He said.

“Hmmmm??” I muttered.

“Look here…..” he pointed his face on the picture.

“What’s wrong with your face??” I asked.

He sighed, “I didn’t shave yesterday…. My mustache is quite obvious in the picture.. My face doesn’t look clean,” he looked at me with wide eyes as if his mustache is the biggest problem right now. I don’t know how to react.

I stared back at him with pure frustration on my face.

His lips tug into a small smile before he laughed hysterically. He was laughing so hard he even bent down on the table and tapped it like there’s no tomorrow. What’s wrong with this person??

“Dara-sshi…” he managed to say in between laughter. “I was just joking..” he said while wiping his tears. “Relax… this doesn’t prove anything.”

I stared at him in disbelief.

“How can I relax?? I’m here in your house, the girls must be worried about me, sajangnim is surely furious right now, you’re fangirls undboubtedly are cursing me already….. and I’m wearing a man’s clothes. Take note I'm wearing your boxer!”

“What if someone sees us here? What if some paparazzi are waiting outside your house? What if someone planted a hidden camera here inside your house?? I will be all over the news!! Headlines, Dara Park inside Jaejoong’s house. Headlines, Dara Park wearing Jaejoong’s boxer.. or worse… Dara Park pregnant!!” I close my eyes as fear started to flood my being. My overactive imagination is reeling full speed ahead.

I was deep in my crazy  thoughts when I heard a loud thud. I open my eyes only to find Jaejoong on the floor with his arms sprawled across his abdomen and…… he was laughing hysterically –again.

My eyebrows form into a knot.

“And what is so funny??” I ask with hands on my waist.

He kept on laughing that I stood there like a complete idiot.

“Ha…ha…. Aigoo… Dara-sshi…” he was catching his breath, “…. You’re so funny….you never fail to amuse me…”

What did he just say??

Funny??

Me??

Amuse him??

Do I look like a clown??

Do I look like a monkey throwing balls in the air and catching it with my tail??

I’m serious here!!

“Dara-sshi….” He said as he tries to sit up on the floor. “Let me handle this okay??” he said sincerely.

“How are you going to handle this??”

“Let’s relax first okay??” he stood up and held my shoulders. “We’ll tell the truth.”

“Truth, what truth??” 

“That we are a couple…” 

My eyes widened at him. Did I hear him right?? Co…coo…couple??

Us??

I mean… Us?? Really??

I felt my cheek blush and my lips form into a tiny smile.

“Yah… that’s a joke…” he said smiling.

My smile turned into a frown, “… joking?? How can you joke at this time?!” I exclaimed.

“Why? You believed it?” he smiled teasingly.

I was caught right there, “..............of course not!” I push him away and walk towards his room. “Where are my clothes?? I’m going home…”

We both stood there under the scrutinizing glare of President Yang. I should be the only one here facing him but why is Jaejoong standing beside me??

Earlier, I told him that I can just take the taxi but he insisted on taking me here. He said that if someone sees me riding a taxi from his house to YG building it will just worsen the issue. So I agreed, but when we arrived at YG building President Yang saw me went out of Jaejoong’s car.

He knocked on Jaejoong’s window and asked him if he has time. Poor Jaejoong just nodded and the story ends there.

I glanced at him who was sweating beside me. As usual we are under President Yang’s silent treatment.

“You were at the bar yesterday right??” he ask making me stiff.

I only nodded in response.

“Is it true??” he said.

“NO Sajangnim!” I quickly answered.

“Then why are the two of you together??”

“Uhmm I….”

“She was sick yesterday,” Jaejoong cut me off. “….she was at the parking lot at that time and I saw her. She fainted and I was the only one at the parking lot. I was so worried that something bad happened to her that’s why I immediately rushed her to the hospital. But I thought that it would be bad to bring her to the hospital so I took her home and had my doctor check her. It was my entire fault; please don’t be mad at Dara.” He bowed almost in 90 degrees and stayed like that.

“NO it’s not..” I said looking at him but he did not raise his head. He kept his head bowed down.

“It’s my fault sajangnim…please forgive me. I’ll fix this.” I bowed too.

I was expecting him to tell me how careless my actions are but instead I heard him laugh. We both look up at him.

“I am not mad…” he said. “…look at how tense the two of you are.”

Jaejoong and I look at each other. 

“That’s no big deal… I told you before right.. dating ban will be over on May.. I know it’s a little early but what’s the difference. You two can date…”

“No were not…” I shook my head vigorously eye
