Composing Feelings Into Melodies
Dream Come True? (Sequel to Wishing Upon A Star...)
The car ride back to the house was silent and awkward. By the time that everyone had piled in the car, all the members had known what Dongwoo had done. Once the car had arrived back at the house, it was already late at night. You instinctively ran out of the van and sprinted up the staircase, locking yourself in your room.
You showered, changed into your pajamas and collapsed in bed. However, you couldn’t fall asleep. Your mind wouldn’t rest. Instead, it was thinking about everything that happened today. You tossed and turned in your bed, trying to reject what happened today out of your mind. It didn’t work. You glanced at the clock that was resting on your bedside. 2:18AM it read. You sighed. ‘I need some air. I don’t think oppas are awake anymore.’ Slowly and as silently as possible, you opened your bedroom door, wincing at the faint creak. You made your way down to the closest music room. Thank God the room was soundproof. You closed the door and made your way to the piano.
You sat down on the piano bench and started playing random chords. You thought about what Dongwoo had said and sighed. ‘Why did oppa have to make me feel like that? Because of what he said, I cried like there was no tomorrow. Does he really mean what he said? Would our love eventually be separated?’ You absentmindedly started to play more chords. Your ears perked up. ‘Hey, that actually sounds pretty good.’ Quickly, you grabbed paper and a pencil and started to write down the chords. Looking over at it, you thought to yourself. ‘This needs lyrics...’ Your mind flashed to how you felt about Dongwoo. You scribbled down words underneath the chords:
“How much more do I have to cry for our memories to be spread apart in the rain?
I guess that won’t happen, you might come back.
I can’t close my windows, I miss you.
I cry, I cry, I cry
If this is what you want, I’ll fly, I’ll fly, I’ll fly...”
