Chapter 18
The Fox On My DoorstepFinally, the years of preparing for Mina’s death has finally come, she can finally have her long-planned revenge as Mina tries to stand up in front of her but failed to do so, for she is severely wounded from their fight. Tzuyu being possessed by the grim is a lot stronger. “I never suspected you…” the weak fox princess chuckled, ignoring the pain from all of her wounds. Tzuyu remained silent, a stoic expression in her face as she raised her sword and dash forward stabbing Mina by the chest before twisting her sharp weapon that’s already impaled on the fox spirit. Mina coughed out blood, letting out a weak laugh as she raised her hand and patted Tzuyu’s head. “I tricked you~” Tzuyu froze at the all too familiar teasing tone, she stepped back to have a look and to her horror… it was Sana-
Tzuyu gasp waking up from her dream, badly trying to catch her breath, she had fallen asleep on a tree trunk after knowing that Sana knew it was her, Tzuyu didn’t know what to do, she probably fell as sleep thinking how she can carry on with her plan. “You should have killed her right then and there; you had your chance” the grim appeared before her, Tzuyu didn’t respond clenching her teeth. The grim mocks with a laugh, “Don’t tell me you can’t-” The evil spirit couldn’t continue when Tzuyu waves him off. “Shut the up and know your place! If it weren’t for me, you’re already a goner. I know what I am doing, this won’t change anything.” She growled mad but deep inside she’s beyond worried that Sana might spoil her plan. “I hope this really won’t change anything, it’s almost time for the awakening."
They are on their way home and Momo noticed that Mina had been oddly quiet. The fox spirit seems to be in deep thought and she has this sad, worried look on her eyes ever since they left the cemetery. “Mina? Is everything okay?” Momo couldn’t help but to ask glancing at Mina, who replied with a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “Of course, what made you ask?” She responded with a light laugh, Momo shrugs, “You had this troubled look in your face, I can’t help but to ask” hearing Momo’s concern for her Mina’s lips broke into a grin. “It’s great that you’re getting the hang of being a good wife-“ Mina got cut off when Momo abruptly stop the truck, face red from embarrassment causing Mina to erupt in laughter.
They have reached Momo’s land and the house is void of the usual cut throat bantering of Sana and Tzuyu, “What do you think happened to those two?” Momo asked as she followed behind Mina, “Sana probably pissed the hell out of Tzuyu by now” Mina replied and Momo can’t help but to chuckle at the thought. “I hope they end up toge-” Momo couldn’t finish her sentence when Mina stopped from walking causing her to bump on her back. “Hey…” She trailed off not facing Momo so the latter could only look at her back. “If I ever did something wrong, will you forgive me?” She asked this time turning around, finally facing Momo. Momo was confused at the sudden query but she answered anyway. “As long as you sincerely asked for forgiveness why not?” Momo replied breaking into a huge goofy grin causing Mina to smile too before she pulled Momo in to a hug. “You’re so nice, I feel guilty to be in your presence.” Mina whispered lowly,
“I’m not-”
The front door swung open revealing Sana who eyed them in disgust, “As much as I find you two adorable, I’m starving to death here” Sana interrupted them and that only elicit a burning glare from Mina. “I’ll cook for today!” Momo announced breaking from the hug as she enters inside the house, Sana was about to follow suit but she stops when Mina asked her a question. “Where’s Tzuyu?” She asked, “Hmmm…” Sana trailed off tapping on her chin, “I guess I went overboard in teasing her this time” Sana laughs, sticking out her tongue while holding out a peace sign with her hand. “Idiot” Mina muttered under her breath as she shakes her head because she knows how annoying Sana can be. “No wonder she hates your guts” She added as they made their way to sit on the couch in the living room. Sana giggled, “You can’t blame me, she’s hot when she’s mad and have you seen the death glares, she sends me… damn that’s y.” Sana babbled cupping her face with dreamy eyes earning an incredulous look mixed with disgust from Mina before she sighs. “You should really fix your relation with Tzuyu. I wanted you two to be together.” Mina told her eliciting a chuckle from Sana. “It’s fine, I’m contented with how things are now…”
“Guys can you help me set the table
