Everything was a blur, Momo came back from school and as she set foot on their land, there was this uneasy feeling that’s suddenly gnawing her insides something that she couldn’t describe but one thing is for sure, she’s not liking the feeling. She grips on the strap of her bag as walks to their house, an eerily atmosphere was lurking throughout the place, each step felt agonizing then there was a crash inside, alerting Momo, making her rush into the house and what unfold before her made her knees weak, there was splash of blood painting the walls, the house looked as if it was hit by a storm, everything was broken. Momo gulps as she called out for her Mom but no one responds, instead she heard a loud and heavy breathing coming from back of their home that overlooks their farm she followed it and upon reaching the area Momo let out a scream for she sees the lifeless body of her parents and grandmother-

“-mo! Momo!” Momo wake up from the horrid dream- more like the fragment of her tragic past, she was wet with cold sweat and is breathing heavily. Mina pulled her into a comforting embrace as she noticed how the other girl was shaking. Momo clutch onto Mina’s clothes burying her face on the latter’s chest, sobbing hard at how terrified she is, it felt real as if she was dragged back to the time where her family was murdered. Mina didn’t say anything as she hugs Momo and run her hand on the girl’s locks till she calms down. “A bad dream?” Mina asked when Momo finally stops crying, the other girl nods burying herself even more on Mina, feeling safe in her arms. “I dreamt about my dead family.” Mina froze at what heard tightening her embrace on Momo. “I’m sorry that happened” She whispered on Momo’s ear before kissing her cheeks. “Everything will be okay Momo~ I’ll protect you” She added as Momo hides herself in Mina’s arms.

“Let’s get up you need to eat, you have radishes to tend to” Mina told her, kissing Momo’s forehead and wipes her tears away before she pulled her up off the bed. Once they got out of the room, the smell of something burning welcomed their nose and a second later clattering of utensils are heard from the kitchen. “Goddamit!” They heard Sana cussed so the two of them quickly rushed towards the kitchen only to see the snake spirit making a mess there.

“what are you doing?” Mina asked quickly turning the stove off before the fire starts, Sana huffs as she crossed her arms over her chest. “Breakfast what else?” She replied rolling her eyes before Mina shows her the pan. “You eat charcoal for breakfast?” Mina responded that Sana could only grumble in defeat while Momo watched the exchange with a smile on her face, finding the sight of the sibling arguing adorable. “Go wait at the table I’ll cook” Mina shooed her away as Sana made faces while she approaches Momo making the latter chuckle. “Let’s leave the grumpy fox to cook” Sana mocks earning a glare from Mina.

“Is Tzuyu alright now?” Momo asked once they sat on the table eliciting a nod from Sana. “Yep, she cursed at me earlier telling me to ‘drop dead’ so yeah she’s healthy than ever” Sana replied remembering how Tzuyu kicked her off when the latter found out she was sleeping beside her. “You’re cooking breakfast for her right?” Momo asked as Sana avoided the eye contact and Momo doesn’t know if her eyes were playing games on her but she noticed a light hue of red on the snake spirit’s cheeks for a millisecond before her demeanor changed into a sly one, leaning on the table with a smirk on her face- hand supporting her chin, she wiggled her brows “So what if I am? You jelly? You can always have me for breakfast tho-“ Sana can’t continue when Mina interjected, her voice laced with threat coming from the kitchen, ”Shut the hell up you snake or I’ll force feed you the breakfast you made whatever thing this is” earning an eyeroll from Sana. “You do know that it is very inappropriate to eavesdrop right!?” She yelled back before slumping on her chair and Momo could only laugh at the banter between the two again. “You really shouldn’t be flirting with somebody else when you clearly already like someone” Momo told Sana making the latter look at her head slightly tilt. “Like?” Sana repeated as Momo nods “Yeah~ you clearly like Tzuyu” She said receiving a laugh from the other, a laugh so hard tears started to be present in Sana’s eyes when she finally calmed down, she wiped the tears before she speaks. “I don’t like her Momo” Sana said there was a second of silence before she added “I love her… but I’m not allowed too.” Momo stared at Sana in confusion trying to understand what she said. “Eh?? Why aren’t you allowed to?” Momo asked again this time receiving a shrug from Sana, “I can’t say, besides I the great snake spirit Sana is far too great to stick with one being! Everyone should have a chance to- ouch!” Sana couldn’t continue her monologue when Mina hits her head with the pan she’s holding. “Stop being delusional. You disgust me” She said before settling the food on the table consisting of fried eggs, bacon, sausages and rice. Tzuyu came in to join them not before glaring at Sana who gave her a wide smile, Tzuyu swears she wanted to punch her right then and there. “Are you feeling better now my love? Or do you want me to spoon feed you?” Sana asked giggling making Tzuyu gripped onto the spoon and fork hard it bends, Momo’s eyes widen at this
