Characters Biography//

Jeon Jeongguk (Jungkook): 

He is twenty-two years old and was born in Busan, South Korea. He is the son of a billionaire and CEO of Jeon Group, one of the largest conglomerates (chaebol) in South Korea.  He is in his last year in college and is majoring in business administration despite wanting to become a photographer which his father deems useless. He is hot-headed and at times immature, but is warm-hearted and honest. His father got him engaged to Kim Dahyun, the daughter of his business partner, despite Jeongguk being against it. His dad wants him to start working at the company so he can be ready to take over the company when his dad retires.

Park Jimin:

He is twenty-three years old and he was born and raised in Busan, South Korea, where his father was a fisherman until he got hurt at work. His family later moved to Seoul where his mom opened a cafe, (Angel’s Café), even though his family is not wealthy they live an honest life. With his dad unable to work, Jimin put his own dream of becoming a dancer and school aside to work and support his family. He is down-to-earth and somewhat cynical and is not afraid to put people in their place, but can be a bit naïve. He has issues with rich people and considers all of them to be snobs despite being friends with Taehyung, who comes from a wealthy family. He is also friends with Jihyo. He says love is a waste of time and would never fall in love with anyone.

Kim Dahyun:

She is twenty-one years old and she was born and raised in Seoul to a wealthy family. Her dad is the CEO of  Zeus Hotel Group. The Jeons and the Kims are family friends. She is friends with Chae Young, the daughter of Jeon Tan. She is spoiled, rich, chic and haughty heiress but she is actually kind-hearted. She can be easily deceived and manipulated which is why her father is always regulating the type of people she befriends. She has always been in love with Jungkook so when their parents got them in engaged, she was happy. Her cousin is Choi Minho, whom she knows he is gay but keeps it a secret because she is close to him and confides him mostly.

Kim Taehyung:

He is twenty-two years old and he was raised in Seoul, South Korea. His dad is the CEO of Kim Law Firm, and his mom is an heiress. His parents are divorced and he has good relations with them. He befriended Jimin when he came to the café but started complaining about the service and Jimin told him off. He has never had anyone put him in his place, he found him intriguing and eventually they became friends, he spends most of his time at his café. He decided not to pursue his studies. He is quick-witted, playful and often jokes around. He often hangs out at nightclubs. He is close on one of his dad’s lawyers, Yoongi.

Min Yoongi:

He was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea and he is twenty-five years old. He is the son of the attorney general who works at Kim Law Firm but he is also the family Lawyer of Jeon Group. He is close with his brother in law and looks up to him but is protective of his sister. After learning of his brother in law’s affair with a  club singer/dancer, he persuaded him to end things with her and not ruin his marriage. He plans on taking over Jeon Group and plans on using his nephew for it. He is known for his cunning intellect and volatile manners, he is feared by people.

Park Jihyo:

She is twenty-two years old and she was born and raised in Busan, South Korea. She was raised by her father who works as a fisherman. She quit school and moved to Seoul and started working at Angel’s Café. She is madly in love with Jimin since they have known each other since they were young. She is always flirting with him and asking him out despite Jimin turning her down.  She does not like Taehyung because he is constantly teasing him by flirting with Jimin in front of her.

Lee Taemin:

He is twenty-three years old and he was raised in Seoul by a wealthy heiress, as the only heir to his father’s company. His dad died when he was young and since then his mother has always pressured him to always be on the lookout for people and never trust anyone. He is the General Manager of his family company, Lee Groups who are constantly competing with Jeon Group. Despite putting on a cold front he is, kind, cool-headed, warm, and smart, and always sees the best in people. He is gay but is not out because of how homophobic Korea is and not to damage his father’s reputation. He is dating to Chae Young as his mother wants but has a fling with Minho. He does not get along with Jungkook despite being dating to his sister.

Choi Minho: 

He is twenty-six years old and he comes from a wealthy family. His dad is the CFO of Zeus Hotel Group and he is the General Manager. He became the youngest ever general manager with such steely competence that he earns himself the nickname of "hotel monster.“ He is manipulative, cold and cunning and would anything to rise up to the top, no matter who he has to stumble on. He has a fling with Taemin despite being married with a child.

Jeon Chae Young:

She is twenty-four years old and she is the daughter of Jeon Tan, a wealthy billionaire who owns Korea’s largest conglomerates (chaebol) in South Korea. She is an heiress who dreams of taking over her family business but her father refuses. She is the face of her mother’s clothing company GM International. She hates that her dad plans on handing the company over to Jungkook despite him not wanting to run it.

Jeon Tan:

He is forty years old and he is the son of a billionaire and the CEO of the largest conglomerates (chaebol) in South Korea. Since he was young he has been told of how important he is because of that he grew up doing whatever he wants. He married his high school girlfriend, Min Gianna right after high school. He has a daughter, Chae Young and a son, Jungkook from his affair with a bar singer. He has been diagnosed with cancer, he decided it’s time to prepare his son to take over the family business. He is a strict and cold man that would do anything to get what he wants. Family traditions and reputation are very important to him.

Min Gianna:

She is thirty-nine years old and she is the daughter of the attorney general. Her family and the Jeons have always been friends. Tan and her have been together since they were young, they married right after high school. They have a daughter, Chae Young and her stepson Jungkook. When she learned of her husband’s affair she blamed herself for being busy with her clothing company GM International and neglecting him. She was more heartbroken when she learned he had a son but accepted him as her son despite being cold towards him. She is a calculating and manipulative woman.
