‘’Where are you guys? I’ve been waiting for half an hour’’

‘’We’re 15 minutes away, the traffic’s awful today, but don’t worry, we’ll make it in time for the movie’’ Yuri assured the blonde

‘’I hope so’’ Taeyeon sighs ‘’Call me when you’ve arrived’’

‘’Will do, Taengoo’’ Yuri says and hangs up

Taeyeon sighs one more time, one of the things she hates the most is waiting. She would’ve gone home by now but she hasn’t seen most of her friends in almost a month because work has been hectic. Sometimes she wishes she had never taken her dad’s place in the family company and had chosen being a pastry chef instead.

Just as she’s about to take out her headphones to listen to some music, she hears some giggles and as she scans her surroundings, her eyes land on two little humans crawling across the floor of the mall

‘’What the-?’’ She looks around and sees that no one seems to be looking for the babies so she stands up and makes her way towards them

‘’Hey, what are you two doing?’’ She crouches in front of them to stop them from going forward and then picks them up, struggling a little, but managing one baby in each arm

‘’Where are your parents?’’ She asks then shakes her head, like two babies are going to answer her

She carries them as careful as she can and sits on the nearest bench she can find

‘’We’ll just wait here until someone comes claim you, if not, I’ll have to take you to the lost and found’’ she laughs at her attempt of joke and both babies start fussing in her arms

‘’Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that, it was just a joke, you know’’ she says a little desperate, not wanting the babies to cry

After 5 minutes, Taeyeon decides to take the infants for a walk, in hopes of finding their parents

She walks a few steps and then sees a woman running in their direction with a security guard

‘’There they are!’’ the woman shouts and points her finger at Taeyeon and the babies

She comes at a stop before Taeyeon and as soon as their mother is close, the babies extend their little chubby arms at her

‘’Oh my God! You guys scared me so much!!’’ the dark haired woman exclaims as she hugs her children tightly

‘’Don’t ever do that again, please’’ she says with a stern face that soon warms up as she hugs them again

‘’Alright Ms, I’ll go report that you’ve found them’’ the security guard says

‘’Yes, thank you sir’’ the woman says and smiles at the man in gratitude

She turns around, and finally addresses Taeyeon, who this whole time had been standing there awkwardly

‘’Thank you so, so much’’ she manages to extend her hand a little to Taeyeon for a handshake and as soon as Taeyeon notices, she takes the other woman’s hand

‘’Don’t worry, I can’t imagine what you just went through, it must have been terrifying’’ Taeyeon says as she gives a sympathetic smile

‘’Yes it was, I just left them in the floor for 2 seconds while I was paying, I don’t know how they got this far, God, I’m a terrible mother, and now I can’t believe I’m confessing to a stranger that I’m a terrible mother’’ she says a little embarrassed

‘’Hey, it’s okay, I’m sure these little things are not easy to take care of’’ the blonde says as she smiles at the two babies now secured in their mother’s arms

‘’They are, sorry if they were trouble’’

‘’It was not a problem, these girls are just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen’’

Tiffany laughs loudly at that and Taeyeon furrows her brows in confusion ‘’This here’’ she motions with her eyes at the baby in her left arm, ‘’Is Irene, and this one here’’ she motions to the one in her right arm ‘’Is Kai’’. Taeyeon blinks a few times, not sure of what to say ‘’Ah, I’m sorry, it’s just that they’re both dressed in pink, so I thought, you know’’ she moves her hands, unsure as to what to say next. ‘’But, they both look very cute’’

‘’Thank you, and don’t worry, it happens all the time’’

‘’I’m sure’’

‘’Well, thank you again...’’ she motions for the shorter girl to say her name

‘’Oh, it’s Taeyeon’’

‘’Thank you, Taeyeon, really’’

‘’It’s okay...’’

‘’Tiffany’’ she says as she flashes her beautiful smile at the other girl

The moment she smiles, Taeyeon can’t think of anything else, she finally takes notice of the woman in front of her, and gets hit with her beauty

Tiffany seems to notice the blonde zoning out and clears

‘’Well, we have to go, we still have a lot to do, right guys?’’ she asks as she looks at her kids and gives them each an eskimo kiss

Taeyeon quickly shakes her head, ridding herself of all thoughts about this woman who she just met, ‘’Of course, take care, and I hope you two don’t make your mommy scared again’’ she jokes as she lightly pinches the babies’ cheeks

‘’Say goodbye to Taeyeon’’ Tiffany waves her hand at Taeyeon and the babies follow, making Taeyeon go awww at the sight

‘’Bye guys’’ Taeyeon says as she walks them walk away and turns around to sit again and keep waiting for her friends.

A minute later she gets a call and without looking at the name on the screen, she answers it

‘’Hey T, we’re here, where are you?’’ Yuri asks

Taeyeon is currently sitting on a park bench with Yuri by her side, both women decided they were in need of some fresh air and a few hours away from the office

‘’And then she said I wasn’t serious about us and left, can you believe that?’’ the blonde heard Yuri say while taking one last spoonful of her ice cream

‘’Actually, I can. I’m sorry Yuri but I have to agree with her in this one. You never seemed that invested in your relationship, or at least never demonstrated it’’

‘’I’m just not built for relationship Taeng’’ she shrugs

‘’Whatever you say, Yul’’

‘’Look, maybe I’m yet to find my one true love, I don’t know. But I promise that when she finally comes, I’ll be ready’’

‘’Let’s hope you are’’ Taeyeon laughs softly and squeezes her friend’s shoulder

‘’How about you, huh? How’s it going with you in that area?’’

‘’Ugh’’ it’s all the shorter girl says as she throws her head back

‘’Not very good, I see’’ Yuri says with a raise of her brows

‘’You know how busy I’ve been with work, Yul. This deal we’re currently working on is making me crazy’’

‘’I know man, but we’re gonna be done with that in a couple of days, and then, after we get our well-deserved rest, we’re going out, all of us, and then… I don’t know, you can meet a nice girl, start dating, get engaged, get married, have chil-‘’

‘’God, you sound just like my parents’’

‘’Don’t tell me they’re going on about you settling down?’’

‘’Yeah, they keep asking me when I’m going to bring a girl home, they’re afraid I’m going to be alone forever’’ she laughs sadly as she says that last part

‘’Don’t worry Taengoo, I’m sure there’s someone out there waiting for you, and I’m sure you’ll meet her in the right time, you don’t have to pressure yourself into anything… and about before, I was just joking, you know’’

‘’I know’’’

‘’Well, I’m heading back to the office, are you coming?’’

‘’I’ll be there in a few minutes, let me just keep enjoying this beautiful day’’

‘’Alright, see you later buddy’’

Taeyeon takes out her phone to play one of her games for a bit before returning to her responsibilities but then, she notices two familiar infants crawling their way towards the exit of the park, with no adult in sight

‘’Oh, not again’’ the blonde exclaims as she quickly stands up and runs in direction of the little fugitives.
