It shouldn't come as a surprise actually.  They all are well aware that this day would come eventually; the day when the dorm would get emptier and emptier but no one, especially not Hongbin, would expect it to be N who would move out first. 

N has told them, months prior to him moving out, that he's currently looking for a nice house and honestly, none of them thought much about his words. 

But now, seeing the workers picking up all the boxes out of N's room with the leader himself excitedly helping out, realisation dawn upon him that N is gonna live separately with them from now on. 

Looking up to watch N, his eyes meet that of Hyuk's instead and he sees it, the dread and fear and sadness in their maknae's eyes. He always thought that Hyuk would be happy if N isn't around to nag and order him but seeing the way he react in their current situation, Hongbin knows now that Hyuk would rather be constantly nagged than to be left behind by his hyung like this. 

"Why... are you bringing everything with you? Do you not plan to come and visit us ever again? "

Ken's quiet question snap them out of their thought and they look at him to see him almost in tears and immediately, N stops what he's doing. 

"Jaehwanie, it's nothing like that. "He coax but Ken says nothing, he just turn around and left for his own room and N just watch him leave sadly before returning to what he's doing. 

"We carried all the boxes. Anything else? "

Leo's question makes Hongbin wants to smack him. It's obvious the rest of them, even Ravi who's barely home, are upset if not slightly sad of N's leaving but Leo is nothing short of supportive; he helped the leader choose a nice new house, even the furniture and he even help to find some house moving agency to help N with his moving. It makes Hongbin wonder if Leo is that eager to have N out of the house. 

"That would be all, I believe. "N says with a big, satisfied smile on his face. "Too bad Wonshik isn't here to see me off. "He mumbles, knowing that the rapper is currently on his tour. Glancing towards Ken's room, his smile fades. "I--"

"I'll talk to Jaehwan. Don't worry. "Leo assures and N nods, giving his life long friend a hug before doing the same to Hyuk who doesn't refuse even a bit and Hongbin himself of course, who return the hug as best as he could, knowing that his leader hug will be rare from now on. 

N leaves after that, along with the house moving agency's workers and once he did, Hongbin doesnt know what come upon him but he find himself walking into N's now empty room, the only proof that he was there is the scent of his candle. 

Hyuk appears not long after that and he says nothing to Hongbin as he sits down in the corner of the room and curl into himself. 

"You okay? "Hongbin found himself asking and Hyuk  let's out a bitter chuckle. 

"How long... do you think it will take for hyung's scent to be gone? "

Hongbin thinks the question is weird but he somehow understand where it comes from. "We can always light up the same candle here. So that it'll always smell like him. "He suggests and they both say no more, just sitting together in the now empty room while listening to the cries that no doubt belong to Ken. 

Hongbin wonders, he really do. Will they ever be able to adapt to not having N around?
