PositiveGoing work had not been such a good idea. Not only was Hyesung tired, but everything hurt. Was he going to tell Eric about it? No. Hyesung almost crawled to the sofa, climbed up to it and lied down. The television switched on with a simple motion of a hand and Hyesung turned his gaze at it. Some movie was playing but Hyesung didn’t focus on it as the eyes closed slowly.
“You’re home?”
“Mom!” Hyesung’s heart jumped when the lights . “What the hell are you doing in here?”
“I came to see my son who does not reply to my invitations.” She lifted her hands onto the hips. “Or whose secretary tells me that he is not available.”
Hyesung rolled his eyes. “Gosh, mom…you shocked me. How did you even get in?” he questioned, walking to the kitchen; she followed.
“Jinkyo told the door code.” She explained.
She sat down to the stool next to the table and crossed her legs. “How are you doing?” she interrogated. “Are you still busy trying to get over Eric?” her voice was filled with tease.
Hyesung, who had been pouring water to a big mug, put the bottle down and pressed his forehead to the cupboard. His mother would have flipped out if she found out that Hyesung had slept with Eric some time ago. “He was such a good boy. We could already hear wedding bells but then—“
“Mom, I’m pregnant.”
Hyesung couldn’t describe how proud of himself he felt when the mother almost fell from the chair. “Who…who…?”
“As a matter of fact, it’s Eric.” Hyesung smiled widely. “And he does know about it.”
The mother obviously couldn’t handle the news she was hearing. “Wait what? When…how…what?” she felt dizzy. Hyesung just brushed it off and downed the glass of cold water, leaving the room and his mother. “Yah! Pilkyo! Tell me!”
“What do you need to know? You have had kids! You know how it works. Or do you need to know which position we used? How many times?” Hyesung bombarded her with questions.
“How long?” She asked.
“A month and some days,” Hyesung responded. “You are going to be a grandmother.” he tapped her shoulder and entered the bathroom.
The mother waited outside, arms crossed onto her chest. She was still processing everything; her eldest son was pregnant to a man, who had dumped him ages ago, and he was happy about it? After the breakup, Hyesung could have killed Eric if they had met in any terms. “Was it in Paris?” She interrogated to which Hyesung hummed as an answer. “What are you going to do?”
“Keep it,” Hyesung yelled from the toilet.
“But what about your work? You can’t be a model and be pregnant, can you?” she was worried about her son, and Hyesung appreciated it, but he didn’t have to go through with the same conversation with her.
“Don’t you worry about that,” Hyesung responded quickly. “I will work as long as I can and then when I have to, I’ll tell them.” The mom sighed. “Don’t worry, eomma,” Hyesung opened the door. “I will have Eric by my side.”
“What’s that?” Dongwan started Minwoo’s day with an idiotic question.
Minwoo scoffed, looking around in case someone was watching them, and kicked the little bag in front of him. “Your t-shirt, like you ask
