Myungsoo looked around her house for a while now and somehow Yumi's feeling a bit conscious of it. He hasn't said a word since he stepped in the house not to mention its already been 20 minutes or so.

"If you're thinking of how small it is compared to yours, then the door is open for you to head back home Myungsoo", she said thinking he's belittling her.

"How did you know that i was thinking that?", he replied making her roll her eyes a him

Shaking her head telling herself not to snap back at him.

"A young master won't know that", she replied nochalantly. He just nodded knowing she is unsatisfied with his reaction.

"Where's your room?"

"Why do you ask?"

"I can't?"

"You can't"

"Why?"

"Why you say.. because i just said 'you can't'?"she replied as more of a question than an answer.

"You're so cold Yoomi", he pouted making her blush a bit.

"Why would you want to know anyway?", she looked away as if it didn't affect her.The male scrunched his nose 

"As if i wouldn't know", he said before directly walking at the door of her room. She was startled when he got it right.

"Can i?", he asked indicating if he can enter . She just nodded and followed him.

As soon as he entered, he jumped on her bed and lay flat looking up at the ceiling. She frowned and was going to push him off from it when he said something she never expected him to say at the moment.

"Your parents look warm and kind"

"..."

"Happy and cheerful too"

He sat up and stared at her.

"So they have a warm-hearted daughter"he added. Yumi couldn't deny her eyes got teary at the moment as she sink in what he said.

Myungsoo was startled when he saw her tears.

"Yah!Did i say something wrong?"

She chuckled"not really...didn't expect that from you moreover right after jumping on my bed"

"Idiot", Myungsoo scrunched up his nose at her and stood up to look around.

"You guys seem to be so close and loving..smiling and all", he said reffering to the photos outside her room. The girl sense something off in his tone.

"I'm jealous", he let it out.

She was going to say something when-

"Oh?You have figurine collections too." He smiled looking at the tiny toys. Expected from the anime lover", he added

He looked around and saw a sketchbook . He picks it up and open it and was shocked to see how good she was at the drawings.

"I didn't know you were good at this", he said in wonder.

"Tsk! Even Luhan knows it", she said somewhat proudly. The male frowned when she mentioned the other. His mind couldn't help but wonder how many times the other guy already came here. He couldn't help but get so jealous of it. He stared at the girl for a long while before she said'don't stare like that.Its creepy' so he just look away and walked away muttering, "You must have even played Hide and seek with him here" and walk out of the room. The girl heard it and frowned more.

'Is he jealous again?'

She walk out of her room and look at Myungsoo who was already putting on his shoes near the door.

"You're leaving?", she asked a bit disappointed. He signalled something as if telling her to look up, when she did, the clock already hit 4:30pm.

"You'll be late for work. I'm leaving", he said and walk out.

"Wait Myungsoo!", He looked back at her.

"Aren't you gonna ask where i work?", she asked slowly looking down, a bit embarrased of her own selfishness.

"I already saw it while coming here. I'll be off", he said before going .

Well he's right there's only one cafe around the corner from here...obviously that's gotta be it.

The next day-

"Tell me who am~ i!?", someone closed her eyes from the back and asked.

Yumi just chuckled at his childishness.

"Stop it Luhan. At least change your voice a bit while doing it", she complained laughing. Luhan smiled at the cheerful girl now before him

"I brought something as a gift for you", he said smiling

"?"

"Close your eyes", he ordered so she just did it a bit warily.

She felt him touching her hair making her eyebrows meet in wonder.

"Tada!!", he said as she opened her eyes and touch it.

'A clip again?'

"While buying one for Lucy, i thought it would look good on you so i just bought it", he said

"You didn't have too though..i don't really suit it", she said trying to take it off when Luhan stopped her.

"Nah. Don't dare to take it out. Its good on you", he said with a -_- fave so she just let it be,it wasn't a big one anyway.

The teacher came inside the class with a big smile on her face and searched for someone in particular. Myungsoo havn't arrived yet. The girl wondered if he's going to skip class again as its kinda late now. She didn't see the other three boys too.

"Class listen. I have good news for you all"

WooooOO~ the students cheered excited

"And the news is......the results are out ! Yeah!!", she clapped smiling while the students start groaning.

"Anyway , the scoreboards are now out at the notice. You can check it out later. Where's student Myungsoo?", she asked looking at Yumi who was startled as she didn't know it herself.

"So. This time. It was a really big improvement from him as he scored the-"she was interrupted as Myungsoo rushed to the door and excused himself.

The teacher didn't say anythng and let him sit first.

"So as i was saying, he scored the highest . Clap for him everyone"

Everyone was shocked with the annoucement including the girl, they cheered and shouted turning at him who was already looking out the window, not really caring or knowing why they were being loud.

Yumi's surprised face was replaced with a smile and was genuinely happy for him. When she looked at him, he looked clueless.

"Why are you clapping?Is it something interesting?", he asked knowing she was not one to clap or laugh when she didn't find it entertaining.

She chuckled at him. "Yeah.Its because you came late"

He just looked away muttering 'not funny'.

Class ended and students rushed to the scoreboard area. Myungsoo wasn't one to care about this things but this time he was , so he followed the girl.

It was really crowded and everyone was struggling to get a look of their ranks. Myungsoo was surprised to find his name at the top, he smirked a little and looked a row down to see Yumi's name written on it. He turned to Yumi and wriggled his brows. She couldn't help but smile.

As they came back in class, he kept calling her ' Ms second'. Yumi just shook her head, smiling all the while. She was still the first in the school though, given her combined grades in every area.

Everyone was talking about Myungsoo here and there.

"Don't forget to get me something. You promised me remember?", he asked a little more than happy.

"O-", she was going to reply him when Luhan jumped out from nowhere and congratulate her.

He just squinted his eyes annoyed and just looked away. 

"Oye. Congrats", Luhan turn to him to wish him. He mumbled a small thanks and turn away letting the two 'friend' have their time.

"Myungs-", Yumi turned to say something to him when he wasn't there anymore. She looked around searching for him with her eyes when it stopped seeing him talking with Sungyeol and Howon. She stared at him for a while before turning back to Luhan not knowing Myungsoo turned to glance at her just as she looked away.

The guys weren't really shocked with Myungsoo's results. He was a very sharp student, they knew it . With someone like the girl , beside him, they knew it'd be easy for him to nail the scores.

"No answer yet?", Woohyun came out from nowhere and asked.

"...."

"Stop bringing it up hyung", Myungsoo said with a low tone to which they were kinda affected by it.

"A-ah..i wasn't asking for that",saying this Woohyun excused himself. Th other two just shook their heads.

"The bell will ring soon. Let's go?" Sungyeol stood up indicating the time.

Howon looked over at Luhan and Yumi.

"Oye, Yumi ah. Aren't you guys gonna join us? Myungsoo's paying" he said doing a V sign.

Myungsoo just rolled his eyes and walked away.

Yumi just smiled at the older and nodded. 

 At the cafeteria~

    "Cheers for Myungsoo!", Dongwoo said helding up his glass of bubble tea. All of them played along with Myungsoo rolling his eyes. 

Dongwoo was a bit hyper at the moment. He looked at Myungsoo who waa glancing at Yumi, who was smiling when Luhan said something. He frowned when he saw the scene. 

"Yumi ah, haven't you give an answer yet?", he suddenly asked. They all look up at him except for Myungsoo who was sensitive to that line of sentence. Yumi was confused.

"I mean-" , he stopped saying when Woohyun held him back below the table.

"??", the girl looked like she didn't get it.

"N-nothing. "He replied and said a soft ' sorry' to Myungsoo who didn't say anything.

The girl digested what he just said and felt something wierd in the pit of her stomach when she came to get it. She just looked down embarrassed, feeling guilty and sorry at the same time to herself for not being courageous enough.

The two, as usual, came back together. While walking, she kept on thinking about what the others said , very hard. It was really cowardly of her to keep on avoiding the truth. Hoping herself she could do it, as soon as she reach her house, Yumi hold up her courage and called out to him.

"Myung"

"Hmm"

"......"

"About the confession-"

"I told you not to mind it, nah?"He interrupted.

"......"

"Actually-"

"You're embarrassing me if you guys keep on bringing it up. I don't want you to worry about it that's why i even go as far as to avoid you. I've told you that many times already. Why don't you get it?"he said it plainly without sounding harsh..but it still hurt her.

"......"

"Forget it. Its my fault." he said again observing her.

"You should probably go in, its late."

"......"

"I'll be off now,okay? Don't think about it. Goodnight, see you tomorrow", he added and smiled weakly before walking away.

    She sighed and turn to go inside. 'Its 15th tomorrow. I wonder if he knows it.....'

At midnight, Yumi woke up as her phone kept ringing and ringing. 'Who is it..late this night?'

"Hello", she replied dreamily.

"Happy Birthday Sleepy Head. Its 12:00 now" replied from the other line.

"Birthday?..Who's birth-- ", she stopped mid-sentence.

"W-who's this?", she replied suddenly full awake.

"Yah!What kind of response is that!? Its Luhan, who else? I'm so disappointed. You didn't even check my Id and picked up neither did you recognise my voice"he sounded sulky?

"O-o Its you"she couldn't hide her disappointed tone.

"What do you mean..its you? You're so mean Yumi"he complained.

"Sorry dude. I just woke up from sleep ..that's why"

"Its okay. Just wanted to be the first to wish you..but its 12:05 now. Anyway, have a good sleep. Good night"

"You're practically the first haha. Okay night"she wished back with a lil' smile.

As should as the call ended, she went to check her inbox to see about 10msgs from

Sunggyu....Woohyun..Sungyeol..Dongwoo...Luhan...Luhan..Luhan..Luhan...Luhan...Luhan

They were wishing her, her birthday while Luhan was making some 'yelling' characters and sending her angry emojis, telling her to wake up as she didn't recieve his call. She smile a lil', trying to hide her disappoinment of someone.

Its always been her parents to wish her first. She never had anyone to wish her like this before. 

"Its my Birthday,... Mom....Dad. Won't you guys wish me too?"
