We stood there awkwardly as my mother not so stealthily began reading wedding magazines.

“Mom for the last time, this,” I pointed between Jungkook and myself, “is not a thing.” 

She rolled her eyes and smirked as she kept looking at the magazines like she was ready to have a wedding for me tomorrow. 

“Can you put down the damn magazine? We’re here looking for a sparkly performance gown, not a wedding dress…” I was done with this crap. My mother of course could have a small say in my love life…no matter how nonexistent it is at the moment…but she couldn’t force me to like someone and she couldn’t force him to like me. “Jungkook is my best friend mom, stop trying to force things that aren’t there!”

“What’s not here?” Jungkook asked, finally joining the conversation, “A dress? Because I’m sure there’s got to be something in this gigantic store that sparkles and screams ‘notice me from 10 miles away!!’”
