I was heading home from work when I noticed an attractive young man slip on the ice as he was running to catch the bus, causing him to spill his groceries on the curb. I decided to stop and help the frazzled man pick up the apples that were rolling down the sidewalk. He was frantically trying to grab everything and I noticed that he had a much more handsome face up close.
“Thanks” he mumbled as I handed him some of his runaway food.
I flashed him a smile and told him it was nothing as I helped put everything back in his bag.
“You know…” he started softly, “you have a really nice smile.”
He was blushing as our hands accidentally grazed as he made the comment.
I thought that was sweet and politely thanked him as I put his last rogue apple into his bag. I stood up and began to head home when I heard him yell from only a few feet away.
