Epilogue

We Will Meet Again (KaiSoo ft. ChanBaek, HunHan, & SuLay)

this is in 3rd person, since I write in 3rd person better and it was easier for me

Jongin was restless. Even if he was tired and he had to get up at four in the morning, he just couldn't shut his eyes. Why did he have to get up at that time?, to pick up Kyungsoo from the airport. It had been two years since the elder left for America again. Jongin almost had his American citizenship. Just a little more to go, and he could move to the States, officially.

His idol boyfriend was finally visiting his home country again, after two years. In those two years, he—Kyungsoo—was busy as hell with making new music, acting for movies, and trying to be there for the sickly American girl he befriended, Mia, he hasn't had time to visit. Video calling wasn't too hard to do, though there were times when Jongin and/or Kyungsoo were busy and they couldn't talk for a while. It pained both of them that they went through that, again. But now, Kyungsoo was coming back home, to spend the holidays and spring with friends, family, and boyfriend. They've been dating for five years now, three out of five spent miles away from each other, full of tears and pain. But it was worth it, for the great love Jongin had for Kyungsoo and vice versa.

Jongin looked over at the time. 3:40. He smiled, deciding to get up and begin pulling himself together to go to the airport.

"Are you nervous?" Kyungsoo inquired, sitting next to the now eighteen year old, American girl, Mia. The plane had finally landed smoothly.

The corners of the girl's lips pulled up. "No. I may not know the language well, but I'm excited."

People began to file out of the plane. Kyungsoo and Mia sat in the very back, waiting for the others to get off. When it was their turn, Mia stood up slowly, along with the elder, dragging her oxygen tank with her. Kyungsoo was ahead, pulling her hand to steady her. He grabbed his and Mia's suitcases, releasing her pale hand.

He glanced at Mia. "You feeling alright?" Kyungsoo asked out of concern and worry since Mia has lung cancer and struggles to hold herself up sometimes.

She smiled sweetly. "I'm fine, Kyungsoo. I promise."

"Alright. But if you start to feel bad, you tell me, okay?"

Mia nodded, her pretty blue eyes gleaming. "I will." They began walking the aisle to exit the plane, the flight attendants and pilots greeting the two goodbye as the exited. Mia—in Korean—thanked them and followed Kyungsoo. The elder of the two slowed down for her so she could walk next to Kyungsoo. "Are you nervous?" She mimicked the same question as they made their way to the main part of the airport.

Kyungsoo looked at Mia, suddenly his heart beating fast at the question. The realization hit him that he was going to see his boyfriend after two years. He just moved his eyes to the ground, cheeks flaming red and heart beating faster than it has in a while.

"You are nervous." A playful smile painted Mia's lips.

"I-I-I'm not nervous!"

Mia laughed. "Okay then." Her laugh faded. "Have you told him yet?"

"Told him what?" Kyungsoo blinked.

"You know what." Mia's smile was a bit sad. But she was so happy for her closest friend, nonetheless.

Kyungsoo's phone vibrated. He took it out, seeing Jongin trying to call him. Kyungsoo held it up to his ear. "Hey."

"Soo, I might be late, the traffic is horrible."

Kyungsoo smirked. "You're not lying to me about the traffic because you woke up late, are you?"

"No. I actually woke up earlier than intended and I pretty much only got an hour of sleep."

Kyungsoo's eyes widened. "An hour?! Nini–"

"It's okay." Jongin chuckled. "I'm not overly tired since I'm just about over-the-moon happy that I'm going to see you."

Mia couldn't help but giggle at the way Kyungsoo's face turned a darker shade of red. She watched as he stuttered out words in Korean, even if she didn't understand it. Mia knew the basics, but not enough to make out conversation with her idol friend and his younger boyfriend. Soon, Kyungsoo pocketed his phone, his face still a bright red. He ran a hand through his black hair. Mia's seen him like this before, but not as bad as today.

"You two are adorable."

The dancer drove his way to the airport. Now his heart was beating so quickly and harshly, just at the thought of seeing his angel again. He tried to console himself every few minutes. But his thoughts just drifted to Kyungsoo soon after. Jongin pulled into Icheon airport, driving to the exit where he was sure Kyungsoo would wait with that American girl.

He saw him.

Jongin's heart could have jumped right out of his chest, right there. Kyungsoo sat on the bench outside with a pretty, red-headed girl with an oxygen tank. They were talking, Kyungsoo smiling that heart-shaped smile. Two suitcases sat next to them. He pulled up to the curb, placing the car in park. Kyungsoo didn't spare a glance, yet. Jongin unbuckled himself, opened the car door and rushed to the bench. Mia pointed in Jongin's direction, causing the older to look ahead. She watched as Kyungsoo shot up and ran over to his boyfriend. Mia smiled, seeing how happy they both were just seeing each other. Kyungsoo jumped into Jongin's arms, the taller almost falling backward onto the concrete ground. Tears of joy filled both their eyes. The two held each other tightly and warmly against the early, cold morning.

Kyungsoo let out a choked sob, whispering, "I missed you so much, Jongin." Jongin smiled wide, his arms around Kyungsoo's waist. He picked Kyungsoo up gently from the ground, spinning him around happily. Kyungsoo screeched and kicked a few times. "Jongin!"

The younger cackled, putting Kyungsoo back on his feet and letting him go. He kept his hands on Kyungsoo's hips, smiling down at him. "I missed you too, Soo." The shorter man smiled back and leaned up to kiss Jongin on the lips. It had been two years since they had a moment like this. Being able to touch each other again. Jongin broke the kiss, moving on to kiss every centimeter of Kyungsoo's face that he could and Kyungsoo giggling. A few pecks on the neck and jawline were snuck in there.

Mia stood up, dragging her suitcase and oxygen tank with her. She cleared —purposely—but with a slightly coy smile. The couple looked at her, Kyungsoo still smiling. "Don't mean to ruin this adorable moment here, but I'm freezing cold and need to get inside somewhere soon."

"Right. Sorry, Mia." Kyungsoo said, letting go of a jealous Jongin and grabbing his suitcase. He took Mia's suitcase to make it easier on the young girl. "Go sit in the back and I'll take care of this for you."

Mia smiled sweetly and nodded. She went into the car. Kyungsoo was walking over to the trunk when a hand grasped around his wrist. He turned and saw Jongin. "I got them."

"I'm not weak, you know. I can take care of it."

Jongin whined. "Come on, just let me take care of one."

Kyungsoo couldn't help but smile wide at Jongin's childish nature. "Alright." He let go of his own suitcase. Jongin took it and both dragged the cases to the trunk. Kyungsoo began walking to the passenger side. But Jongin took Kyungsoo by the shoulders, spun him around, and touched their lips together. The kiss took Kyungsoo by surprise, albeit he applied the same, soft pressure Jongin did for him, encasing his arms around the taller's neck. Then it deepened and became more passionate, their tongues mingling once. Until Kyungsoo's hands pushed Jongin's chest. Both breathed heavily, lips swollen and abused. The elder smiled and pecked Jongin's nose. "We can continue this later. Don't want to keep anyone waiting."

Jongin's mouth curled up in a smile, touching his forehead to Kyungsoo's. "Okay." After a kiss of the forehead and a squeeze of hands, they walked separately to their sides of the car.

"Kyungsoo!" Baekhyun exclaimed immediately, when he saw his best friend walk into the chorus room of the University. He ran over, engulfing Kyungsoo into the tightest hug he could ever give. "I missed you so much!"

Kyungsoo coughed a little. "B-Baek, you're holding too tight..." He managed to get out. He did miss Byun—no, Park—Baekhyun hugging him like they haven't seen each other in years. In which, this was the case.

"Sorry." Baekhyun smiled, releasing Kyungsoo. The older male looked behind Kyungsoo, seeing Jongin and a small, pretty, red-headed girl with an oxygen tank. He pulled Kyungsoo deeper into the chorus room, the smaller man being greeted by nine other friends of his. He was hugged—practically suffocated by Jongdae, Tao, and Chanyeol—and interrogated about the flight and things in America.

Mia then realized she was the only girl in the room, even if she looked at one of them and mistook him for a girl. But once she heard his voice, she blushed a bit. She didn't understand all of what the other eleven boys were saying. At some point, Kyungsoo featured for Mia to come closer and meet them.

"Guys, this is Mia. She's my friend from the US." In English, Kyungsoo named each man—excluding Jongin since she already knew him.

Tao suddenly spoke, his eyes sad when he saw the oxygen tank. "Why do you have the tank?" He asked in fluent English, everyone staring at him with shock.

Mia responded, "Lung cancer, stage 3."

"That's horrible." Tao whispered.

Mia smiled lightly. "I'm doing okay, though. I've survived this far."

And for a while, Mia and Tao conversed together, sitting at a far corner of the room. Others talked to the two occasionally, but repeatedly, Kyungsoo and Junmyun told them to let them be. They were a perfect match, in the eyes of Kyungsoo. It was like they understood each other. He saw Mia smile sweetly and shyly many times. It was new to him. Mia wasn't really into guys, yet with Tao, it seemed different. Her crush on that girl didn't go well, but she got over it quickly.

Maybe she has a chance with Tao instead.

When the University was about to shut down for the night, the twelve left the school, some going in their cars—Kyungsoo, Jongin, and Mia—others walking. When Kyungsoo glanced at Mia, he saw her and Tao looking at each other like they might not see each other ever again.

He tapped her shoulder. She jumped, turning to look at the elder. "Y-yeah, what?"

Kyungsoo smiled. "Do you want to go with Tao?"

"N-No, I–"

"Mia, I can read you like the back of my hand." Mia closed , looking down at the ground. "Do you want to go with Tao?" He repeated.

The red-headed girl but her lower lip, nodding her head slowly. "Would you let me?"

"Of course I would. You can stay with him the whole time you're here, if you wanted to."

Her eyes seemed to gleam brightly and she hugged Kyungsoo. "Thank you."

Kyungsoo patted her back. "Get Tao to take your suitcase then. Don't worry, I'll come visit you and I'll call you. Okay?"

"Okay. Thank you, Kyungsoo."

|•~•||•~•||•~•|

A week went by. Snow finally covered the ground like a thick blanket. Tao and Mia were almost glued to each other. It was sweet to watch them interact, Kyungsoo thought. As for him and Jongin, they could never keep their hands off each other. Either they were cuddling, holding hands, or back hugging, you name all the intimate gestures. They made love many times, usually slow and sweet, not heavy and rough. They did heavy and rough once and decided it just wasn't them. No unusual ual preferences, no toys. Just love.

Tonight, Kyungsoo was visiting his family with Jongin and Mia. But first, Jongin's older sister was coming home from China, today. And now, Kyungsoo and Jongin are sitting at the airport, waiting for Kim Youngmi to walk off that plane. She had a good job there. She majored in fashion design in college and a huge fashion company liked her work. Soon, she made her own. In just three years, it was booming all over the world.

They saw a tall woman, dragging a suitcase, shades over her face, wearing a pair of designer jeans, high-heeled boots, and an open leather jacket with a white shirt underneath. Just by her skin tone and the shape of her lips, the couple knew it was her. She removed her sunglasses and smiled wide when she saw her little brother and—well, ex-boyfriend.

Jongin got up, releasing Kyungsoo's hand, and went to hug Youngmi. Kyungsoo smiled at their reunion, standing up and going to Youngmi himself.

"It's really good to see you, Noona." Jongin said, separating from his sister.

"It's good to see you too, little Jonginnie." Youngmi's eyes traveled to Kyungsoo. Her eyebrows shot up, but her smile never faded. "Wow, I haven't talked to you in a while."

Kyungsoo chuckled. "It's been a while, Youngmi." Kyungsoo opened his arms for a hug from Youngmi, which she gladly accepted. "It's great to see you."

The two separated. Youngmi, still wearing the identical smile to Jongin, said, "Same here, Soo." She looked up at her brother. "You treating him right?"

Jongin pulled Kyungsoo closer by the waist, causing the smaller to squeak in surprise and blush. "Of course I am, Noona."

Youngmi leaned in towards Kyungsoo, whispering in his ear, "If he ever hurts you again," she glared at Jongin, remembering what she was told about two years ago. She didn't like the two of them fighting like that, hurting each other immensely. "don't hesitate to tell me. I'll beat the out of him, brother or not."

"Noona!"

Youngmi laughed. "I'm kidding. Let's go get food, I'm starving!" She began leading the way to the airport's exit. Both smiling, Kyungsoo and Jongin followed Youngmi out of the busy airport.

Hours later, the couple was found walking to Kyungsoo's family's home. Kyungsoo decided that he wanted his family to meet Mia so he took her with him, much to Tao's protest. Jongin opted that they should walk, since Kyungsoo's family home wasn't too far from Tao's place. They walked at Mia's pace so she wouldn't pass out.

"So how are you managing with Tao?" Jongin asked towards Mia, in the best English he possibly could speak.

Mia somehow understood what Jongin had asked her. Her face flushed pink and she looked down at her feet. "F-Fine..."

"Mia Woods." Kyungsoo said, a smile resting on his lips. "Are you meaning to say that you have a crush on Huang Zitao, when he's a guy?"

She blushed further. "Maybe..."

"Wow." Kyungsoo said, looking up at the sky briefly. "Mia Woods crushing on a guy. That's hard for me to imagine." He teased.

"Stop it, Kyungsoo, I don't know how to react to it either."

Kyungsoo pet her head, her soft, red hair. "It's okay. I think Tao is perfect for you."

|•~•||•~•||•~•|

"Minnie." Jongdae was on the phone with Minseok, his usually happy eyes full of tears.

"Hm?"

The younger bit his lip, swallowing hard. "I'm sorry." He said shakily.

"For what, Jongdae? Why are you apologizing?"

For the first time in a long time, tears left Jongdae's camel-like eyes. "Because I love you so much. But I can't be with you."

Minseok remained silent.

"Minnie," Jongdae swallowed again, more tears leaving his eyes, "I'm so sorry."

"Stop apologizing, Dae. Okay? I love you too. I really do. And I get that we can't be together. We can still be friends. Our friendship will never change."

"But, Minnie–"

"Stop, Kim Jongdae. Just...please stop. Nothing you say is going to change anything." Minseok's voice was hard, almost trembling.

"I know that. But let me say them anyway, okay? Please. It'll be the last time."

Minseok sighed. "Okay."

Jongin and Kyungsoo spent Christmas Eve alone, in Jongin's apartment. He now lives alone, since Luhan and Sehun decided that they wanted to move in together. They bought a place of their own and Jongin lives alone. He didn't mind it at all, but he did love having Kyungsoo stay with him for the while that he was staying. The two sat in Jongin's bed, Kyungsoo sitting between the younger's legs with nothing on but an oversized sweatshirt and his undergarments. And Jongin, the complete opposite. Sweatpants and a torso. Kyungsoo's back was against Jongin's chest.

A Christmas Story played on Jongin's laptop. The movie was just about over when the taller looked over at the digital clock and saw the time. 12:06. His lips curled up in a smile and he kissed the nape of Kyungsoo's neck continuously. Kyungsoo bit back a moan and leaned back further until his head was lying in Jongin's shoulder.

Jongin smiled, pecking Kyungsoo on the corner of his mouth. "Merry Christmas, Soo."

The elder smiled back. "Merry Christmas, Nini." He moved his hand to the back of Jongin's head and pushed his face towards Kyungsoo's. He leaned up a bit as well, in order for their mouths to slot together. It was a chaste kiss, but it was full of love, adoration, and gentleness. The type of kiss where you'd wish would go on forever. The type where butterflies erupt in your tummy and cause the rest of your body to feel like it's flying.

When it was broken, it left Kyungsoo feeling a bit disappointed. Seeing that look on his angel's face, Jongin reached to grab the laptop. He shut it down and put it on the dresser next to his bed. He kissed Kyungsoo again, letting their lips move just right against each other. Jongin lay Kyungsoo down on the bed, never separating their lips. Kyungsoo's arms went around the taller's neck and Jongin's around Kyungsoo's waist. The kiss deepened, tongues touching and beginning to swirl around and explore each other's mouths. Jongin separated from the elder's lips to allow Kyungsoo to breathe. He connected his lips with Kyungsoo's jawline and neck, kissing and biting at the skin. Kyungsoo mewled. Jongin's tanned hand went up Kyungsoo's chest.

"Stop." Kyungsoo panted out.

Jongin did so, hovering over his small boyfriend. "Why, what's wrong?"

Kyungsoo bit his lip. "I need to tell you something."

Jongin furrowed his eyebrows. He laid down next to Kyungsoo. He pulled the blanket over their bodies. "What's wrong, Soo?"

"It's nothing bad. Actually...it's something great. Consider it...my Christmas present to you." Even after saying that, Jongin was still nervous. He nodded for Kyungsoo to go on. Kyungsoo smiled his heart shaped smile, running his fingers gently up and down Jongin's arm. "I'm not going back to the States."

Jongin's eyes widened. "Y-You're not?" His entire body filled up with glee.

"No." Kyungsoo said quietly, smiling and shaking his head. "I'm staying for good."

"But your idol career–"

"I quit."

"Why did you do it?"

Kyungsoo buried his head in Jongin's chest. "Not only did I want to be with you, but I wanted to be with my family and friends too, Nini. I wasn't happy because I didn't have any of you beside me. So I quit and decided I should stay."

Jongin hugged Kyungsoo tightly, his face in the crook of the elder's neck. "I love you so much, Do Kyungsoo. So so much."

Kyungsoo smiled, not realizing a tear had fallen down his face. "I love you too, Kim Jongin. So much more."

|•~•||•~•||•~•|

The day in between their birthdays is one of the most special days to Jongin and Kyungsoo. They called it 'Our Day'. It was their day, just for them. On this day, they celebrated both their birthdays and just them being together in general. Today was that day. January 13. Let's just say, for now, Jongin had something planned.

Every year, at least when they were physically together—basically this was the second year for this day together—one of them planned the day out and the other had to go along with everything. Last time, it was Kyungsoo that did it, so out of fairness, Jongin did the planning this year. Kyungsoo was sort of nervous but he knew he shouldn't be. Jongin always planned the right dates.

The morning was eventful, you could say. They took a shower together—no, they didn't do anything highly erted—had breakfast, got ready, then went out on a walk. Their hands were entwined together and swaying. They went to lunch at a nice, small restaurant in town, and were there for two to three hours, talking and possibly feeding each other like any couple would. When they came out of the restaurant, it was already getting dark. They walked around some more until Kyungsoo noticed Jongin was heading somewhere they hadn't been to in a long time.

Jongin's old home.

Kyungsoo looked up at the taller with curiosity in his eyes. "Nini, why are we here? Doesn't someone live here now?"

Jongin smiled reassuringly, kissing Kyungsoo's forehead. "Don't worry. I know the owners personally." Jongin knocked on the door.

"I'm coming!" A girl's voice came from inside. The door opened, revealing a pretty girl, dark hair and a cute smile. "Hey, Jongin."

Jongin smiled at the girl. "Hey, Yongsun-noona."

"The house is yours for the night." Yongsun turned her head and yelled out, "Hey, Byulyi! Let's go crash at Hyejin's now!" Kyungsoo blinked multiple times, greatly confused as to what is going on. Another girl came down, a bit taller and light haired. "Let's go now, yeah?" Yongsun asked. Byulyi nodded, smiling and taking grasp of Yongsun's hand and leaving the couple to their own devices.

"Shall we go inside?" Jongin inquired. Kyungsoo nodded slowly. They entered the house. They took their winter coats and shoes off and set them in their rightful places. Kyungsoo was surprised to see that the girls kept the old furniture and kept it where it's always been. Each room brought so many memories back to him.

The dining area. That's where he tutored Jongin everyday after school.

The kitchen. Jongin almost burnt the house down and almost chopped his finger off in just making one meal. Jongin also felt playful once, and scared the crap out of Kyungsoo, causing the older to chase Jongin around the house.

The living room. Where their first kiss was. Where they cuddled everyday after tutoring. Where Youngmi first saw them laying together intimately.

Jongin's old bedroom. Where Kyungsoo's ity was taken by Jongin himself.

Each room held different memories. The more Kyungsoo remembered, the more he felt like he was going to burst into tears. He stopped in the living room, sitting on the carpeted floor. He smiled nostalgically.

Jongin sat in front of him and held his hands. "Feeling okay?"

"Yeah." Kyungsoo said faintly. "I've just been hit with a wave of nostalgia, that's all."

"That's supposed to happen, hyung."

Kyungsoo cocked an eyebrow up at Jongin. "Why did you call me that?"

Jongin smiled cheekily. "You know. For old times' sake."

"Weirdo." He held Jongin's hands tighter. "Why did you bring me here?"

Jongin stared at their hands, biting his lip. "To remember our early memories. And," Then, Jongin reached inside his jeans' pocket, taking out a black, velvety box. He opened the box, revealing a black titanium ring with a diamond in the middle.

Kyungsoo's hands went to his mouth. "Nini..."

Jongin smiled shyly. "I know we've been apart for the most part so far. But...that doesn't stop me from wanting to have a future with you. I want a future with you and I want it with nobody else. I love you so ing much, I never thought it was possible to love someone this much." Jongin's eyes were b with tears as Kyungsoo's cheeks became wet with the same tears. "I want the rest of my life with you and no one else." The younger's voice became shaky. A good shaky, though. "So, Do Kyungsoo, will you marry me?"

Kyungsoo nodded many times, muttering a 'yes' under his trembling voice. Jongin's smile widened as he took out the ring. He slid it onto Kyungsoo's ring finger, right above his music note ring. Jongin pulled Kyungsoo close, and let their lips meet in a passionate, yet sweet and gentle kiss.

Many words of We will meet again, I promise you. Now, they have met again.

And they won't leave each other. No. Not anymore.
