Scene 13
StarStruck“You know, you could help a little,” Baekhyun said through strained breaths.
“No, this car wouldn’t be moving if I wasn’t pushing it,” I huffed. When I had asked him why he couldn’t just drive it into the garage, he explained that the noise would attract the paparazzi and my family. I supposed he had a point, but it was tiring to manually push the car.
We closed the garage doors after we got the car inside. I climbed a small ladder to open a cabinet that I knew had two sleeping bags and a blanket. “You’ll be out of here before morning, right?”
“Yes. Hopefully no one will ever know I was here.”
“I’ll know,” I said and dropped the rolled up blanket onto his head.
“Thank you. Thanks a lot.”
“Yeah.”
He peeked outside the garage window before looking back at the cabinet then at me. “Hey, um, is there anything up there that I can wear so that when I do leave, the paparazzi won’t recognize me?”
I pointed to the many boxes behind him. “You can look in those.” He made finger guns at me like, ‘Right’, and quickly dug through the first box. I crossed my arms as I watched him. “So, is all this really necessary?”
He turned around from his scavenging. “Yes. Clearly you don’t understand. They’re-- they’re everywhere.”
I scoffed. “Paranoid,” I singsonged.
Baekhyun whirled back around to glare at me. “You know what? Just forget it.” He began to dig through another box.
“Love to,” I shot back and looked away.
Finally, he found a gray hat and put it on his head which covered most of his hair. “Well?” he asked for my opinion.
I looked at him and, at the sight of the hat, my dislike for him
