You Want Me
Don't you?

Wants 022
I want you, to remind yourself silence the damn phone, always.

"Thank you for your hard work." She waved at Hoseok and Bambam before stepping out of the cafe.

She can hear the light tap of rain drops on the roof that shielded her. It was raining. She thought. The night has arrived, and Jiae was just waiting for the man who promised to pick her up. Mark Tuan, how long has it been since she have seen his face when he was awake? She wondered. She had been busy these days, too busy running aimlessly to in hopes to search for the child he had been looking for. Exactly what was she trying hard for? Why is she so eager to find that child?

She was reminded of the frail smile on his face. The man looked cheerful as always. He had always been smiling. But why does it hurt so much to see him smile now? She sighed and shifted her gaze to the road.

She noticed a car making a turn down the corner and stopped before her. It was the same black audi that Mark was fond of. Lightly, she smiled.

She was about to enter the car, to ignore the light taps on her shoulder and enter the vehicle. But Mark decided to come out with an umbrella opened above his head.

"Hey." He greeted, and the image surfaced again. The warm touch, the tickling breath that attacked her senses... Everything came back, ramming right through her heart. Mark's touch had left a trail, a burning print on her lips.

Get over it, Jiae. She nibbled her lips and smiled. "Hey." Her voice turned out soft when she approached him. He probably got over it already.

"How was work?" He asked, dropping a throaty chuckle as he shields her from the rain. Why does her step feel light? Her eyes formed smiles as she shakes her head. "Great, but I couldn't concentrate thanks to a certain someone."

He nearly tripped. And she chuckled. What a clumsy man.

"How about you?" She asked when they got into the vehicle. He started the engine, eyes focused on the road as he steps on the paddle. "The same." He mumbled, and she raised an eyebrow at him. "Boring?" She asked, brushing the small droplet from his face. It's interesting how he would flinch back then, but now, he might have just gotten used to the skinships they share.

That's not it. Mark sighed and spun the steering wheel. He couldn't possibly tell her that she had been stuck in his mind for the entire day. It took him all the self-control he had to stop himself from running back to the cafe. That one touch wasn't enough. It'll never be enough. He sealed his lips tight and continued driving. "Yeah." He said bitterly, although that was a dull, flat lie.

She chortled and rested her chin on her palm. Her eyes were staring at his side profile there. He is frowning again. She was this tempted to soothen the crease between his brows. But she'll keep her hands to herself this time. I don't want to get us both into an accident. She giggled at the thought.

It was silly to think that Mark could get them into an accident with that. He was always calm, although that was never the case when he was with her. It was just his hormones that was driving him insane, although she did contribute to that. She knew that well, she wasn't a naive fool to not know when she's teasing someone.

"You should really stop that." Her eyes rounded slightly. What was that? She nibbled her lips and grabbed her phone. "That's not very nice of you, Jiae."

She leaned back against the seat and shifted her eyes to the window. The rain was getting heavier, and it was unlikely to stop until the next day. It reminds me of back then. She can see the past replaying on the sidewalk. It was just a hallucination, a recollection of her past, but it still brought light stabs to her heart.

It was raining back then, too. She saw an image of a girl standing in the rain. Her voice was loud, but the rain was louder. Was she crying? Or was she laughing? She couldn't recall. The girl was left behind along with the past that she threw behind her back. She pressed her lips as her fingers curled.

People tried to help, she recalled. But she didn't take the hands that were offered to her. Her heart was dull, and she begin to walk down the path to self-destruction. What is there to care for, now that she has nothing to lose? She neglected everything that followed on with her life. She hurt people, she crushed people's dreams. She hurt herself.

But he still stayed. "Come on, Jiae. Let's bring you home." Where is home? The cold room that is now left to collect dust? Her home was no longer, just an empty place surrounded by four walls. Even when she goes back there, what is there for her to do? Time won't rewind. Things wouldn't change. They still left.

"I'm sure your family misses you." Those were lies. What family? She smiled bitterly as soon as the car drove down the basement, cutting her off the raining scene. Her family was broken, beyond repair.

"Aren't we just the same then?" She can hear his soft chuckles despite him not being anywhere around her. She stepped out of the car, arms casually hooked with her husband's although her thoughts were drifted elsewhere. She can imagine the look on his face, she recalls the look on his face when he said that. He was smiling, although there was a frown on his face.

"I guess that makes us friends." He was lying. She knew that he was. He was doing that to comfort her. He wasn't abandoned by his family. He chose to leave. It didn't take her that long to find out the truth. She wasn't naive to begin with. Unlike the others, they knew each other way before that. He knew about her past, and she knew all about him.

She stepped into the elevator with Mark, and her eyes immediately shifted to him. His phone buzzed busily then, she noticed. This busy man. She held back a chuckle and looked. Her eyes found the reflection casted on the door. What would one see in their very own reflection? She sees a woman who was smiling, but was it a real smile? She couldn't tell anymore.

"Student Im Jiae, please report to the disciplinary office immediately." She couldn't feel anything at all. The look on his face was the last thing she sees before she left with the people with uniforms. Her eyes were dull, a blurred shade of emptiness when she met that man again. "Was this true?" The fury grew, and she was this close to stabbing the man with the pen that was left on the desk.

Lies. Her cries were sealed tight back then. She couldn't scream, she couldn't lash on that man who wouldn't even look at her in the eye. That liar. What kind of man he was to ruin her life like this? What kind of person he is t

Chapter 11: chapter 10 : this story is not logic at all hdhdjsjs but i'm not complaning. Their relationship is too natural and how do i say it? It's impossible to be so friendly and lovey dovey to a stranger that you're going to marry right? Or maybe it's just how Jiae bright and strong personality works. The plot is pretty cliche but i like the characters. Love how you potrayed them!
