Kris held Junmyeon’s hand tightly as Junmyeon took his first step after being discharged from the hospital. Junmyeon had a cane in his right hand. He just couldn’t believe that he would have to get used to this for the rest of his life.

            “Kris?”

            “Hmm?”

            “Do you…do you still love me?”

            Kris was stunned for a moment by Junmyeon’s sudden question. Their wedding was in 2 weeks’ time. After the accident, none of them had brought that up. And Kris certainly didn’t expect Junmyeon would act this way. He tightened his grip on Junmyeon’s hand.

            “Of course I do, my love.”

            “Really?”

            “Why would I lie to you?”

            Junmyeon smiled. And if only Kris could see through those shades he wore, he would have seen the tears welled up in Junmyeon’s eyes.

After more than 10 days living in the darkness, Junmyeon was so ready to spend the rest of his life with the man he had relied on most in his entire life. Kris had always been there when he needed him. His hand had never left Junmyeon’s and was always holding him protectively. Junmyeon felt like he’s the happiest man in the world.

            “Let’s go on one last date before our big day tomorrow,” Kris said as he tugged on Junmyeon’s arm.

            “Where?”

            “I heard there’s a new café that just opened down the street,” he replied, “Want to try it?”

            “Yes, please,” Junmyeon smiled broadly. He was so excited at the thought of the special date and the fact that their wedding day was tomorrow. He gladly followed Kris as he locked his arm around Kris’s.

            “Here we are,” Kris announced as they arrived at the shop. Junmyeon wasn’t able to see how it looked like. But he heard the jingle of the little bell above the door as they walked into the shop.

            “Two Americanos, please.” Junmyeon heard Kris ordered at the counter before he led Junmyeon to where they would be sitting. Junmyeon felt the cold marble table and his skin tingled instinctively.

            “Whao, it’s cold here,” he commented softly. He could feel Kris’s eyes watching him. Junmyeon smiled shyly and his cheeks turned a faint shade of pink.

            “What?” he asked softly. Kris had his chin on his palm as he rested his elbow on the table. And he was just staring at Junmyeon. His question brought him out of his trance.

            “No-nothing, I was just admiring,” Kris replied as he tried to smile, “You’re beautiful.”

            “Well, you can admire that for the rest of our lives after tomorrow,” Junmyeon said happily.

            “Yeah, about that-”
