He didn’t choose to sign up for the show to find the love of his life. Everyone knew the show was scripted and that there wasn't anyone who ever became a couple after the show (unless they were a couple before). It was a strategic career move that seemed to work in favour of almost every celebrity who came through the show. The plan was simple. Display your charms, don't stuff up with a scandal and you are guaranteed to have more drama/commercial offers.

When he heard her speak he knew she would be someone he could get along with. From the way she openly challenged his request to being served to having a cat of her own (he always trusted people who had a pet) he knew they would get along well. Even when she'd toyed with him when he tried to figure out who she was he thought she was different. He'd met actresses who had character but she was a character he had never encountered and that interested him. He was genuinely excited to start this show.

But it seemed to be more difficult than he thought. He couldn’t remember seeing her before, couldn’t remember her name and she seemed to hate his jokes. Maybe his first impression was wrong...
