Last week

She was so embarrassed she wouldn’t look at him for the rest of the night. All she said was, ‘what would my parents think? How would my friends see me? What did we do?’

He’d laughed her fears away and said people would understand that it was for the show.

But inside his heart was beating a little faster and it continued beating quickly for the rest of the night.

Even after they both said goodnight and he lay in his own bed at home.

He was truthful when he said he felt like he had taken 1 step forward and 5 steps back every time he initiated skinship with So Eun.

He would become shyer, worry that she would someday reject him completely and would try to cover it up by making silly jokes.

Most women would have been even more disgusted with his jokes but she seemed grateful that he would say something silly and she would joke along with him.

It was almost like they both understood how embarrassed they got and willingly played along with each other to keep the peace.

He loved how she seemed to know him instinctively.

He wasn’t a romantic, not since his last relationship, but if he were he would say it was fate.
