Killing Him SoftlyFirst of all, I want to thank everyone who's still reading this story and those who waited so long even though I disappeared without words. This chapter will be really short, and I know it's not really worth reading but I hope you'll still read it anyway! I decided to write again, but I'll start with short ones. I'm not gonna abandon this story, but I can't promise you a quick and clean update either. Thank you so much for understanding...xoxo :)
"Can you sleep with me?" Luhan asked. Sehun had offered his bed for the smaller boy that night. Luhan was about to sleep on the couch in the living room, that didn't make Sehun feel any better. When he brought Luhan to his room, he attempted to leave until Luhan grabbed his hand.
Startled by the smaller boy's question, Sehun stammered. "I-it's okay, hyung. I-I can sleep in the couch." Hyung. The way Sehun said it made it sound so special to Luhan.
"You said not to leave you again, didn't you?" Luhan smiled vaguely, thinking that Sehun might not want to sleep with him anymore, unlike when they were kids or when they had . But he wanted to hear Sehun's answer. He needed Sehun's answer more than anything. He needed to make sure that Sehun would stay by his side, that he was forgiven and that he could forgive him. "How can I stay if you don't even stay close to me?"
Sehun couldn't believe what he heard. Was that Luhan speaking or was it all just his imaginations? He had hurt Luhan, and yet Luhan agreed to stay with him despite his childish immature acts.
Sehun and Luhan went to the same bed. They laid down quietly, facing the ceiling in silence. Sehun's thoughts were fighting. Should he apologize right there and then or pretend nothing happened? Should he say goodnight or start a conversation? Should he ask him why Luhan sent back the letters or should he just abandon the past? No... He couldn't get himself to do anything. So he waited and waited and waited...
"Goodnight Sehun," Luhan mumbled, his voice was obviously tired and sleepy. Sehun closed his eyes in frustration. Luhan spoke first, and it made Sehun hate himself more for not being able to say anything until Luhan turned his back on him. Sehun cocked his head slightly to the side, watching Luhan's back on him. Luhan looked so much smaller than before, he thought at that moment. Sehun became worried if he had been eating properly or not. Luhan seemed so thin, and Sehun blamed himself. He didn't take good care of his hyung after all.
"I'm sorry," Sehun mouthed. Helplessly, his tears fell. Gently, he hugged Luhan from the back. He wrapped his arms around Luhan's small figure protectively and whispered, "Just for a while. I promise... This won't take long."
Luhan kept quiet. Luhan had forgotten how it was like to feel extremely safe in one's arm, even when Sehun came back into his life, the feeling didn't return immediately.
It was just that one night, Luhan felt it again. Sehun's warmth. The real Sehun he met twelve years ago. Luhan couldn't help the smile o
