She sees the world in colours.
White.
It started with white, white like a blank canvas. She was her own painter, so full of hope towards the world. It slowly became a colour splash with all her favourite things. There was her favourite yellow car, her red school bag, the purple shaker pencil, a baby tree, the bear she hugged to sleep every night and a whole ton of other very important things. For a young girl who only knew how to take, her world could only continue to grow.
White/Black.

White.
It became over the top. The way the things had piled up in her space. No one told her when to stop. She stood a safe distance away and watched as they crumble down. She found her yellow car somewhere in the middle of all the debris.
Grey.
She didn’t know when did it start, but slowly the colours drained out. Her brain told her it was called desaturation. She could hear the tiny whisper of her heart. This was life slipping away.
