Crossroads
The Got7 Series: Loving Mr. DimsumMark waited in the van and his eyes lit up when he saw you and a lot of other girls coming out of the stadium. It made him nervous that most of them were crying and cursing while only a handful were smiling and jumping around. You, on the otherhand, your expression was unreadable. You spotted the van and went in silently. Mark stared at you, trying to find any possible positive or negative emotion.
"... I got in..." you said, your eyes wide but your expression still blank.
"WHAT?!" Mark yelled as he hugged you quickly.
"Congratulations Sung!!!" he exclaimed.
FLASHBACK
Names were being called out one by one. Slowly, you started losing hope, seeing that the chances of you getting in became smaller and smaller.
"Lastly... Park Jisung! The newly appointed team captain!" the coach announced.
Everyone stared at you while you were still in shock at what the coach had said.
"Cap-- Cap--- Captain?!" you stuttered.
The girls had all went off to pack their belongings when the coach called you to meet her.
"Yes?" you said.
"As team captain, I need you to get the numbers of the team members so that we can meet at the airport on Monday," the coach said.
You raised an eyebrow.
"Sure... but, um, airport?" you asked.
"Yes, we'll be starting our training in the UK," she said.
You were stunned by the sudden announcement.
"But... For how long?" you asked worriedly.
"Oh, a few years... We'll be back in South Korea in about 2 years, earliest," she said.
Your mind was racing. 2 years wasn't short at all. For 2 years, you wouldn't be able to see Jinyoung, GOT7, the other idols and most importantly... Mark.
"Um... I'm not sure if I can join, Coach... I'm sorry," you said sadly.
Part of you wanted to stay with Mark while the other part of you wanted to go because it had always been your dream to be a well-known soccer player.
"Just give me an answer on Sunday by 11.59pm," she said before taking off.
Mark let go of you and cupped your face in his hands. He leaned his forehead on yours and gazed into your eyes.
"I love you, Park Jisung..." he whispered.
You replied him with a sad smile and he went back to his seat.
"Now, lets go to the dorm and tell the boys!" Mark said excitedly as the van drove off.
LATER...
You were at the dorm with the rest, just watching a late night movie. Mark, you, JB and JR were on the sofa while the rest were leaning their backs at the base of the sofa. Everyone was sleeping and snoring away, snuggling against one another except for you and Mark who were snuggled cosily under a wooly blanket.
"If I get in... I'll have to go to UK for 2 years at the least," you whispered.
Mark felt his heart stop for a second and his eyes began to sting with tears.
"Ah~ Really?" he said, not knowing how else to react.
You leaned your head on his shoulder.
"I don't know what to do..." you sighed.
"What do you want the most in this world for you and you only?" Mark asked.
"I want to be happy..." you answered.
"Then which makes you happier?" he asked.
"Both... I can't choose between my dream and you, Mark..." you said.
"Then, what's your worst fear, Jisung?" he asked, suddenly.
"Huh?" you asked.
Mark heaved a sigh and looked at you, gazingg into your eyes.
"Because mine is losing you," Mark confessed.
You continued looking at him. You've always loved soccer... it was actually your first and only hobby. On the other hand, you had Mark, your first and only love.
"Maybe its selfish of me to want you to stay with me... but could you place that as a first priority?" he asked, a slight crack in his husky voice.
You nodded. It was between dream and love. One way or another, you knew it wasn't going to end well. You were standing at the crossroads.
(I'm so so so sorry for a short chapter! However... THE ENDING IS GETTING CLOSE!)
