After dinner and cleaning up the house, Byeol went into her room and was already dreading school tomorrow. Red and Blondie were sitting at her desk, looking around the room.

“What’s up with you guys?” she was sitting on her bed with crossed arms.

Red looked at Blondie and then at Byeol, “Huh?”

“Why are you guys bugging me when I was trying to talk to my friends?” she fell against her pillows on her bed, hiding her face.

“Why were you ignoring us?” Blondie tried to turn the situation around. “It’s like you only acknowledge us when you need us?”

“What?” Byeol sat straight up in bed. “I was looking for you guys!” She pushed her bangs off of her face, “I woke up this morning and you were gone! I looked all over the place. I thought it was all a dream. Then, BAM! Blue is there with his stupid snake like face!” Byeol was making a weird face and pointing to nothing across from her.

“HEY!” a voice came from her door. There was Blue, “I’m not stupid!”

“Ahhhh!” Byeol jumped on her bed. Then the room was spinning and her room faded to black.

“Byeol!” a familiar voice was calling aloud, “Byeol!”

Suddenly her feelings slowly came back and she felt a nudge to her left side.

“Wake up!” Byeol knew the voice was so familiar, “If you don’t get up, I’m calling the police!”

Another nudge to her side and this time was painful. Byeol’s eyes slowly opened and her mother was leaning over her, her face was nothing like an angle. For a moment she was in a horrible nightmare. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around her room.

“What happened?” her mother pushed her bangs to the side of her daughter’s face. “Who were you talking with in here? I was getting ready to take a nap and you screamed. I ran in here and you were on the ground!”

Byeol struggled to sit up on the floor of her bedroom, “Saa… Sorry. I thought I saw a spider in my room and I jumped on my bed. I forgot all about my concussion, I must have fainted and fell.”

Byeol’s mother slapped her hand, “You know better to be acting foolish!” Her mother examined the room herself, “I heard you talking to someone. Don’t tell me I was just hearing things!”

Byeol looked around and grabbed her book, showing it to her mother. “I was reading out loud, I’m sorry. I must not have noticed. I’ll be quiet, I promise.”

“You foolish girl,” her mother was now getting off the floor, “I was hoping to take a nap before I go out! I guess I’ll have no time to rest, no thanks to you.”

Byeol looked down avoiding her mother’s eyes, “I’m sorry.”

Her mother walked out of her room, slamming the door.

“Are you okay?” it was Blondie who was now sitting next to Byeol. He tried to wipe her tears away but he was unable to touch her directly.

Byeol wiped her tears away herself, “Please don’t make things worse.” She was whispering to them now, fearing that her mother would walk back into her room and this time punish her. “You can stay but please don’t scare me, don’t tease me, don’t be mean to me…”

“We were just trying to have fun,” Red kneeled down and was looking at Byeol’s face. “I’m sorry, okay, we won’t do that again. I promise.”

When she looked at Red she believed him, she tried to smile.

Red smiled back and tried to grab her hand. This time she felt a shiver up her spine.

“Was that you?” she was surprised to finally feel something.

“I… I don’t know,” he tried it again but she felt nothing.

Blue walked up to Byeol and tried to touch her hair, “Did you feel that?”

“No…” Byeol looked at them, "just the first time you tried to grab my hand. It was like an icy chill down my spine."

“It was probably just the wind,” Blue looked at them all, “No one can see us, hear us or feel us…” He walked away to the other side of the room. He looked so upset he tried to make sense of it all.

“I can see you, I can hear you,” Byeol slowly got up. “At least you’re not alone, you have Red and Blondie.”

“Who?” Blondie looked at her confused.

“What?” Byeol never named them aloud but to herself they were Red, Blue and Blondie.

“You heard her,” Blue pointed at Byeol, then to myself, “I’m Blue, he’s Red and you’re Blondie.” Gesturing to each of them.

“Oh,” Byeol was uncomfortable, “It’s just that I didn’t know your names so, I started calling you by your hair color.”

Blondie ran his hand through his hair and looked at Red, he couldn’t help but to chuckle. Red smiled and looked at Blue with a dry laugh. Blue just rolled his eyes.

“Sorry, if you don’t like it then I’ll try to give you other names, it’s just that…”

“It’s okay,” Blondie said with a smile. “I’m sure you can come up with better names later.”

Byeol was relieved that they didn’t all get upset, “Deal.” She started getting ready for bed and started to arrange her pillows. Just then the handkerchief fell to the floor. She picked it up and smiled again, she couldn’t help but to smell it again and think, what kind of cologne Ghost Boy used.

“Ahhhh,” Red said sarcastically, he jumped up to his feet and waved off Byeol.

“How many times are you going to keep smelling that?” Blondie was looking at Byeol with his tongue sticking out to the side.

She giggled, “I will wash it and give it back to him tomorrow.” Off she went to the bathroom.
