Luhan remembered the 3 gates that he encountered before

“H.A.” he uttered the gate’s unique carving, he knew it was Hyun Ae’s initials so he chose it. “What is this supposed to mean?” he kept thinking of possible ways of why this occurred but his mind could not contemplate anything. He was trying to figure out why time replayed itself but couldn’t find any answers. He remembered how often he would laugh about time machines and ridiculous sci-fi movies, but this was more than sci-fi. More fascinating and had a deep meaning behind it. Sad thing is, he is yet to find out its real significance

“Yah! Luhan! Are you just going to keep standing there? Start moving or else you’re grounded for the rest of the week!” his mother Se Young shouted from the door of his room

“O-ok mom” He said while stuttering. Luhan never thought that he’d see his mom again. He wanted to hug her tight but it would come out weird.

‘Luhan. Just try and think like nothing happened. Just go with the flow’ he said to himself and did what his mom told him to do.

After 30 minutes, Luhan and Seung Hyun made their way to the kitchen for breakfast

“Good Morning dad” Luhan greeted his father, Hyun Ki while reaching for the chair to sit.

“Good Morning son, did you have a good sleep?”  his father smiled at him

“Ne (Yes)” Luhan smiled as well

“So… it’s today right?” His father raised a brow while smirking. Seung Hyun coughed and smiled

“What is it dad?” he looked at them “Seung Hyun, what’s so funny?”

“Stop acting like you forgot about it” he said while drinking his milk “I just hope you don’t mess up today”

Luhan gave him a questioning look. Hyun Ki then smiled at the two siblings bickering

“Luhan, I wish you all the best son” he said and drank his coffee “Go on, eat your breakfast. Your mom went ahead because she still has an unfinished work to do, I’ll be the one to take you guys to school” he said

As he started eating his breakfast, he realised something ‘That sounded familiar’ he thought. Like a light bulb that lit up in his head, he remembered it now ‘These were the exact same words that my dad told me before. Before this life I have now… A year before I was dead’ he continued to patch up the pieces of memories that were missing but he just can’t seem to figure out why his brother and his dad wished him good luck.

Luhan, Seung Hyun and Hyun Ki finally finished their breakfast. They went to the garage where their other 2 cars were placed. There is actually 3 of them, one for business purposes, one for Hyun Ki and the last one for Se Young which she is currently using for work. They chose to ride Hyun Ki’s car since he didn’t have any business meetings for today therefore his business car wasn’t needed nor was his driver needed.

“Ok, let’s go” Hyun Ki said and stepped on his accelerator to drive

They finally arrived at their school.

Seung Hyun and Luhan waved good bye to their dad and proceeded to the school gates

“Luhan hyung!” Seung Hyun said “Fighting!” he smiled and cheered for his brother Luhan

“Whatever, go to your class room now. Don’t cause any trouble ok?”

“Arrasso hyung! Annyeong!” he waved goodbye and sprinted to his classroom

Luhan then continued to walk when he heard a familiar voice, or voices rather. It was EXO, his friends and his second home. He missed them so much, to the extent that we wanted to give them a kiss one by one, but no…again, it will really look weird. Or to put it simply… gay.

“Luhan!” 11 boys smiled and waved at him then they ran and almost tackled him to the ground

“Annyeong chinguya!” the ice prince, Kris Wu Yi Fan showed his rare smile while ruffling Luhan’s hair

“Hyung!”  Oh Sehun the maknae linked his arms to Luhan’s shoulder. He was now clinging onto him like a baby “Are you really going to tell her? Wae! (Why)” he pouted

“Pabo! (Fool)” the leader figure of the group, Kim Joon Myun or SuHo the name they preferably called him, slapped Sehun’s head “Why? Is he not allowed to?”

Sehun glared at SuHo and broke away from Luhan unwillingly

“I can’t believe this day would come” Xiumin, the eldest in the group displayed a sad face “I can’t believe that we would have to share you with someone else” he cried fakingly making the other boys sneer

“Kkaepsong~” Baekhyun chirped in making all of them laugh at his newly invented word

“Wait, slow down, I don’t get what you guys are on about” Luhan said, he seriously can’t seem to remember what happened on this date. He could only remember his dad’s words since it was the exact same thing he said in Luhan’s past life

“Oh c’mon!” Chanyeol shook his head

“How could you!” Tao and Lay pointed at Luhan

“What? What?” Luhan widened his eyes in confusion

“Wow, you seriously can’t remember what you said to the girl yesterday?” Kai glared at Luhan in frustration

“Hyun Ae yah, I have something to tell you tomorrow” D.O mimicked Luhan’s voice “Does that ring any bells?”

It did. He remembered exactly what it was and he intended to change it. For his sake, for Hyun Ae’s sake, for everybody’s sake.

“Oh look! Hyun Ae’s coming this way” Chen said while patting Luhan’s shoulder

‘Hyun Ae’ he said in his thoughts. She was beautiful. No one knew how much he wanted to hug her at that moment. He remembered how much she’d suffered for him. How much she cried at the time of his death.

But now she deserved more than that. She deserved to be happy, she deserved someone else.

Luhan stared at Hyun Ae as she was approaching ‘Hyun Ae, in this second life, I want you to be free from my grasp. If you stay with me, you’ll only get hurt”

“Annyeong EXO sunbaenims” The third year high school student Hyun Ae greeted the fourth year high schoolers and bowed

“Annyeong Hyun Ae!” all of them waved at Hyun Ae except Luhan

Hyun Ae’s gaze travelled to him “Luhan sunbaenim” she paused for a while “You said that you were going to tell me something”

His heart fastened its pace when she looked at Hyun Ae’s patient stare

Time somewhat froze at that moment. Luhan could only gulp in anxiety, words wouldn’t come out from his mouth but he had to do it without hurting her feelings. He had to do it even if it meant losing Hyun Ae forever. He had to do it, it was his responsibility. He had to do it… somehow.
