Chanyeol's P.O.V

“Let him go, please. He's just sick, it's probably nothing dangerous and-”
“Stop talk like that Park, you know very well that a disease can kill a thousand of people.”
“But just let me see him, please.”
“He's not awake yet and I can't let you go and see him. Not yet.”
“But sir, you don't-”
“That's enough Chanyeol, I told you that I don't want to risk a whole city filled with people for one boy. That's it.”

 

 

Chanyeol held in a sigh and all the worries he just wanted to scream out at the general. The real general, the one Chanyeol used to talk to, is gone. He's not dead, he's just gone. No one knows where he is, but the new general is far more worse than Chanyeol expected.

 

Chanyeol left the general, he didn't care to bow to him as he just left. He walked out among worried exotics, they all mumbled about they would die and that there is no hope. But Chanyeol knows there is hope, he just can't find it himself.

 

 

“Chanyeol! How did it go?!”

 

 

D.O came running over to him with Sehun and Tao beside him, but he just shock his head as they all looked sad at him. Baekhyun is locked away, in a laboratory, and Chanyeol can't help to get a strange feeling about this.

 

 

“I wasn't allowed to see Baekhyun, not even for some seconds.”
“I don't like the new general, he scolded Suho for nothing and he keeps brag about himself. But he hasn't done anything useful.”
“Something is wrong... I don't like this feeling I got, I just don't.”
“Come on, let's not talk about this here.”

 

 

Chanyeol nodded as he followed D.O, Tao and Sehun to a more private room, where Suho sat and looked annoyed. Kris stood beside him and looked as annoyed as Suho while the others, Luhan, Kai, Xiumin, Lay and Chen sat around them.

 

 

“There you are, how did it go?”
“Not that well, the new general doesn't even want to tell me what's wrong with Baekhyun or let me see him.”
“Why wouldn't you be able to see Baekhyun? You're Baekhyun's guardian and-”
“I know that, we all know that. But the general... He kept tell me that it he thought Baekhyun had a dangerous disease and that if he let me see Baekhyun, I would get sick and so on.”
“This doesn't feel right...”
“I know, I feel the same. But I don't get it, how could the real general disappear during such a short time and how could such an incompetent general take over this situation so fast?”
“We asked him the same, because Suho is supposed to take over everything when the real general is gone or sick or hurt. But this guy just showed up and he did have papers that said he's the boss. And he started to scold Suho and call him incompetent and stupid and worthless.”
“He did what?!”
“Not to Suho hyung! He's a great leader and hasn't done anything wrong!”

 

 

Sehun shouted mad as Suho just smiled kind and sat up a little more straight then he did before. Chanyeol sat down on a chair near Kris as he stared at Suho who seemed to be in his deep thoughts.

 

 

“Well... We could always try to... take a look for ourselves.”
“What do you mean with that?”
“If we want to know what is going on in that laboratory, we can always go and take a look for ourselves. The general can't hold me outside this, since right now I'm technically the other general here. And mostly of the people knows that, or at least the ones who works here.”
“Then let's go and take a look right away!”

 

 

Chen shouted right away, but Suho still didn't look happy about this idea. There suddenly was a knock on the door as everyone froze and stared over at it before the door went open and one of the general's men came in and cleared his throat.

 

 

“Excuse me, but I would like to have a word with Suho alone please.”
“What is it about?”
“I can't say that out loud sir.”

 

 

Suho sighed as everyone hurried to get up and leave the room, after all Suho seems busy. Kris walked beside Chanyeol as he glanced over his shoulder before he stopped Chanyeol and stared serious at him.

 

 

“Listen, stand by the door, listen to what they say. If it's to quiet, something has happened.”
“Got it.”

 

 

Chanyeol stopped and pretend to tie his shoe lases, while the man from the general closed the door. Chanyeol was fast to sneak over to the door and put his ear against it to listen to the conversation inside.

 

 

“I'm sorry to have to break this to you Suho, but I couldn't risk to say this loud in front of the others.”
“What do you mean?”
“The general thinks you're in the way, so I have to get rid of you.”
“Get rid of me? What are you talking about?”
“I'm so sorry sir, but I got my orders.”
“Hey! Put the gun down!”

 

 

Chanyeol knew this was his cue as he kicked the door open and startled the both boys inside the room. Suho stood behind his desk, ready to dodge something as the man from the general stood with a gun in his hand that was pointed at Suho. Chanyeol was fast to tackle the man down as Suho ran over and grabbed the gun from him.

 

 

“Thanks Chanyeol, you saved me there.”
“What the hell are you doing?! You can't kill Suho, he hasn't done anything wrong!”
“What is going on in here?”

 

 

Kris came fast in to the room, he acted like nothing had happened, that he didn't plan to let Chanyeol stay by the door to make sure nothing dangerous happened in Suho's office.

 

 

“He tried to kill me, by this gun. Where did you get the gun?”
“The general gave it to me.”
“Is this your honest answer? Don't you know this is a Endorian gun?!”
“Tao! Xiumin! Get this man down to the cells! Chanyeol, you come with me and Suho, we will get Baekhyun. Chen, Kai, Sehun and D.O! You go and check the other high ranked people in the building! Luhan, see if you can contact the real general!”
“Yes sir!”

 

 

Chanyeol let Xiumin and Tao take the man from the general as Chanyeol almost run after Suho and Kris who headed for the laboratory room. Chanyeol knew something was wrong here, his stomach told him about it. The three of them, Suho, Kris and Chanyeol, ran towards the laboratory and let Suho use some secret codes to lock up the door that leads into a long corridor.

 

 

“This way, let's hurry.”

 

 

Suho walked fast down the corridor as Kris walked almost calm after him, but Chanyeol didn't feel a bit calm. Chanyeol walked fast after the older hyungs as they didn't talk, not a single word left their mouths during their walk down the corridor.

 

After some minutes of silence and just walking, Suho finally stopped outside a door and was fast to pick up his ID card and put it into a machine beside the door that would unlock it and let them in.

 

 

“Damn it! They have banned me from the room!”
“Then it's called kicking!”

 

 

Chanyeol wanted to kick down the door when Kris held up his hand right in Chanyeol's face and stopped him from doing what he wanted to do.

 

 

“Wait, try my card first.”
“Okay, let's see if yours works.”

 

 

Suho took Kris' ID card as the machine denied it as well. They all sighed before Kris stepped aside and literally allowed Chanyeol to step up.

 

 

“Please, just kick in the door already.”
“Yes! Here I come-”
“WAIT! DON'T KICK UP THE FREAKING DOOR PARK CHANYEOL! IF YOU DO YOU'RE FREAKING DEAD!”
“Oh? L-Luhan? W-What are you doing here?”
“The whole place has gotten locked down! I'm the only one who can open the freaking doors.”

 

 

Luhan came over and was fast to use his ID card to the machine that unlocked the door for them. Chanyeol was fast to hurry in to the room to try to find his precious Baekhyun, where he now can be.

 

 

“B-Baekhyun! W-What are they doing to you?!”
“W-What the hell?!”
“W-What has been going on in here!”

 

 

Chanyeol rushed over to where Baekhyun where, though he's still unconscious. Suho and Kris was fast after him and Luhan joined them as well. They all stood in front of a glass container filled with water and in the middle of it was Baekhyun.

 

 

“Baekhyun! Baekhyun! Are you there?! Can you hear me?! Baekhyun!”
“Calm down, he's sleeping. I will get Lay, he can probably get Baekhyun out of there.”
“Where is the general?! Where is that bastard?!”
“Calm down, screaming and hitting isn't a good thing to do. We're in the middle of a war, you would seem suspicious to the others if only you went after the general.”
“True, but I want to kick the so hard that even his grandchildren will feel the pain.”
“Okay, you're weird. But let's get Baekhyun out of there or at least get Lay here so he can tell us what is going on.”
“I never seen something like this... please be okay Baekhyun.”

 

 

Chanyeol walked over to the glass and put his hands against it, it felt cold. Is the water cold? Are they trying to kill Baekhyun or are they trying to freeze him? Chanyeol don't know, but he wish he could do something. Anything.

 

 

“Don't worry, you will get out of there soon... Don't worry...”

“It seems like they tried to clone the virus that was inside of Baekhyun. I don't know why, but they did. But they failed with it, but they gave me a clue to cure Baekhyun.”
“Really?! That's great!”
“But the thing is, why did they want to clone the virus?”
“Wait... Who gave Baekhyun the virus?”
“The Endorians! They have infiltrated the base!”
“They have infiltrated us for a long time ago, we all knew they had, but we didn't know that they had manage to get this close to us.”
“We have to get back the old general and arrest the betrayers!”
“Yes and no, we need to get the general, but we also have to get Baekhyun out from this thing and cure him.”
“I can do it almost by myself, but I need someone to guard the lab.”
“I will do it, I refuse to leave Baekhyun's side.”
“I expected you to say that, that's why I already decided that. You others come with me, let's split up and try to find the people who was in the lab. Kris, you will have to watch over everything here, I will take Xiumin and Tao with me to get the general back.”
“Do so, I will take care of things here. Come on guys, let's go.”
“Come here Chanyeol, let's get Baekhyun out of the tube.”

 

 

Chanyeol nodded as he hurried after Lay who walked over to the water tube Baekhyun was inside. Chanyeol wanted to break the glass and get Baekhyun out of there, but Lay told him earlier that if he did, the electricity would get to the water and kill Baekhyun within a second.

 

 

“Come here, we have to empty the tube and then turn of the electricity. Your job is to make sure that no one comes and later lift Baekhyun out of the tube.”
“Got it.”
“It will take some minutes to empty the tube, so please be patient.”

 

 

Chanyeol just nodded as Lay begun his work and walked around the machines and begun to turn off and on them. Chanyeol walked over to the door opening and peeked his head out from the room from time to time, to make sure that no one came. Chanyeol could stand and listen after footsteps, but he never heard something.

 

 

“Hey Lay... Isn't it weird... It's so quiet.”
“It's not weird, there is only three laboratories here and we're in one of them. The other two are locked since Luhan locked the whole place down so no one could escape. So if there is other people in the laboratories, Chen and the others will be able to capture and stop them from getting away from here.”
“Yeah, I guess. But wouldn't they try to hack the system if they infiltrated the base like this?”
“Luhan thought the same, but since he was the one who helped to build up this advanced system, it's probably going to take years before someone can hack into it.”
“True, Luhan is a smart-.”
“Yeah, I guess he is. Okay, check if someone is coming before we get Baekhyun out.”

 

 

Chanyeol nodded as he checked the corridor once again as he saw Sehun come running, but he didn't look to be in panic.

 

 

“How is it going?! Is Baekhyun hyung out yet?!”
“No, we're going to take him out now.”
“I will take over the guarding then.”

 

 

Chanyeol nodded as he walked in to Lay who nodded at Chanyeol. Chanyeol walked around some machines before he walked up for some few stairs to get to the top of the tube Baekhyun was in. Chanyeol carefully opened the top of the tube and reached his hands down to grab Baekhyun and lift him out of the tube.

 

 

“Careful now, if you drop him or fall in you will only hurt him more.”
“I know that.”

 

 

Chanyeol grabbed Baekhyun and carefully lift up the boy's body and out of the tube. Chanyeol then changed his grip so he could carry Baekhyun down to Lay who patted a hospital bed. Sehun glanced a little relieved over at them as he smiled from the door opening.

 

 

“I'm glad that he's alright, he's such a nice hyung after all.”
“Yeah, he is. So, how long time will it take before the virus is gone Lay?”
“Probably an hour or two, but I don't think Baekhyun will wake up until tomorrow. Until then, you will have to guard him. Got it?”
“I will guard both you and Baekhyun Lay, you're also important you know.”
“Thanks, it feels good to hear that to be honest.”
“Sehun, do the others need you?”
“No, they told me to go and guard you two, since they doesn't trust you that much Chanyeol.”
“Pft, just because I'm closer to Baekhyun than the rest of you...”
“Now now Chanyeol, don't look so grumpy and help me out here. We need to get all those cords and hoses out of him.”
“Y-You expect me t-to-”
“Of course I do! Help me out now, come on!”
“M-Maybe D.O should come and take my place?”
“No, you took on this job, now you have to finish it. Come on.”

 

 

Chanyeol nodded as he followed Lay's instructions, since he doesn't want to hurt Baekhyun and he think he kind of owes Baekhyun this. After all, it still feels like it was his fault that Baekhyun got hurt and kidnapped and sick. And stuck in that tube thing. Urgh, it looked kind of scary to be honest. Chanyeol even shivers when he thinks about it.

 

But now Baekhyun is going to be safe, the only problem is that the war has to end. But when it ends... Baekhyun is going. The thought hurts a little to be honest, but if that is what Baekhyun wants, then Chanyeol won't stop him.

 

Because Chanyeol love Baekhyun.

So I know I haven't updated any of my other fictions for a long time and I'm sorry for that *bows* But a lot of things has been taking up my time lately, until two days ago when I officially went to take a long holiday break. So now I got some time to finally update. *grins*
