I Never Meant It
Mean while when Yong Hwa and Ji Won took part in a competition, Hongki went to the Prosecutor office
looking for Krystal to return her umbrella and hair pins. He got to know that Krystal hadn't come to work
because she was sick. "Sick? what could have happened to her?" then he remembered how she walk the
other day. He hurried to her home. He knoked on the door and Krystal opened the door after few minutes.
"Your feet hurt. Don't they?" he asked as soon as she opened the door. "Hongkishi" she said in surprise.
He hurried inside. He saw her feet swallon. He ade her sit. "Hongkishi" she said. "Don't do anything. Stay
here." he said. He went in to her kitchen and put the kettle on fire. Krystal kept looking at him. He came and
sat beside her. He kept looking at her feet."It looks baaaaa" hachus! he sneezed. "Have you catched a
cold Hongkishi" asked Krystal. "Aniyooo" hachus! he sneezed again. "It's nothing" he said again. The kettle
began to hoot. "Stay here" he got up and pourd th boiled water in to a bawl. "Where would I get a piec of
clothe?" he asked Hongki. "umm there in the cupboard" she said pointing at a cuboard. He took a
serviatte and came to Krystal with the hot water. He sat on the floor in front of Krystal. "Hongkishi" Krystal
said widening her eyes. "Shut up and stay still" Hongki commanded. He soaked the clothe in the water and
squiched off the excess water and blowed to the clothe and rubbed her feet gently. Krystal was startled.
She kept looking at Hongki. She felt her pain going away and she loved to see Hongki. Beside her heart
yearned to see him as soon as soon as she got up that morning. Hongki looked up and catched the eyes of
her. She looked away in embarassment.
"Alright it's done. How do you feel?" he asked. "I feel much better
now" she said smiling.He looked at her and smiled. "Have you eaten yet?" he asked. "No,not yet" she
answered. "Ok let's see" hewent in to the kitchen and opened the fridge. Took whatever was inside and
began to cook. "What are youdoing Hongkishi?" she asked in surprise. "I'm making our lunch. Why?" he
asked. "ok" she laughed. "Why are you laughing?" he asked. "Nothing" she sai smiling. "Ok now we have
to cut it like this and put this on to the bawl and...." Hongki cooked like he's doing a cooking programme on
TV. Krystal laughed and she was so happy. After he had done cooking he made th table and went to
Krystal. He hold her from her houlders and made her stand up and slowly took her to the table and made
her sit there. They both ate togeher. "mmm this is really good" she said while eating. "jinja?" Hongki asked
in exitment. Krystal nodded. They both finished eating. Hongki took Krystal to the couch. "Shall we go to a
doctor?" he asked sitting beside her. "No I can't. It's better already" she said smiling. "ok then should I
leave?" he asked. "No, stay for a while" Krystal said hiding her face. "Why?" he asked. "Nothing" Krystal
said. "ok" hesaid smiling. "Are you still worried about Yong Hwa?" he asked. Krystal said no. "Are you
about Ji Won?" she asked. H thougt for a while and said I don't think I do. Krystal nodded. They both kept
chatting swith each other. They plaed rock paper scissor.
"Tell me a story" Krystal said. "Story?" he asked in surprise. "Ok then I'll tell you the story of the rabbit's
judjement" he said. "chuva" Krystal agreed. "Ok then Long, long ago, when plants and animals talked, a
tiger fell into a deep pit while roaming through the forest in search of food. He tried over and over to get
out but the walls were too steep for him to climb and he could not jump high enough to reach the opening.
He called for help but none came.The next morning he called for help until he was hoarse. Hungry and
exhausted he slumped down on the ground, thinking that he was doomed to die in the pit. But then he
heard footsteps.
"Help! HeIp!" he cried desperately.
"Oh! A tiger!" said a man, peering over the side of the pit.
"Please! PIease help me out of here!" pleaded the tiger. "If you help me, I won't forget you as long as I live."
The man felt sorry for the tiger but he was afraid of being eaten. "I would like to heIp you but, I'm sorry, the
thought of what might happen makes me refuse. Please forgive me. I must be on my way," said the man
and he began walking down the path.
"No! No! PIease don't think like that! Please help me!" cried the tiger. "You don't have to worry! I promise!
I won't hurt you! Please heIp me out! Please! I beg you! If you get me out. I'II be forever grateful to you!
Please!"
The tiger sounded so pitiful that the man turned around and walked back to the pit.
He Iooked around until he found a big log. "Here, climb up this," he said, lowering the log into the pit.
Then Hongki felt Krystals head landing on his shoulder. He looked at her. His heart pounded so hard. He
saw her face covered from her hair. He removed the hair from her face slowly and saw sh had fallen a
sleep. He felt strange feelings

He stood up and ran his arms around Krystal and carried her to her room and kept her on her bed and
covered her from the blanket. He ket looking at her for a while and touched her cheek genlyand kept
a kiss on her forehead. He turned back and went away closing he door behind him. He was so warm
inside. He knew that he never had a feeling like this when he was with Ji Won.
