Myung Soo’s POV

After Young Do had left I remained in the waiting room with Tan pestering me about our fight. I couldn’t bear to talk. A sense of guilt and relief gushed through me. I saw Tan’s mom leave to get fresh air. I wanted to get some too but knowing how Young Do was a stubborn bastard he was most likely lurking around the wards of the hospital and I sure as hell didn’t want a run in with him again.

An hour had passed and Ji Young was still in surgery. Time seemed to drag on and on before the surgeon had come out of the operating room. Tan and I rushed towards the surgeon.

“Is she alright? Can we see her?” Tan asked before I had the chance too.

“We managed to stop the bleeding and clamped the artery which was causing the excessive blood loss. It was a risky operation due to the amount of blood that was lost but we were able to stop it from causing permanent brain damage. “

“Can we see her?”
‘Well not yet, she needs some rest. When she wakes up you can.”

The doctor took off his gloves and left us standing there.

Tan turned to me.

“Myung Soo ah go home. Get some sleep and I’ll call you as soon as she wakes up. Okay?”
It was pointless arguing with Tan, he was just as stubborn as Young Do. Besides I didn’t want to lose Tan as a friend.

“Oh okay. Ring me okay. Bye” I said and left without saying another word.

Young Do’s POV

It was getting late and from afar I saw Eun Sang walking my way. She must be coming to visit Tan.

”Young Do? What are you doing here?”

There was no strength within me to respond. Eun Sang saw this and sat down with me.

“Young Do? Hey earth to Young Do? What are you doing here?” She asked waving her hands in front of me.

“I’m here waiting.”
“Waiting for what?”

“Who do you think Eun Sang?” I sighed.

“Ji Young? Why?”

“Because I care about her. Is that alright?” I almost yelled.

“Oh okay I’m sorry.” She said standing up to leave, instinctively I grabbed her hand to sit down.

“Young Do ah, we’ve been through this. I’m with Tan.”
I rolled my eyes.

“I love Ji Young.’ I spat out and watched her expression change from cluelessness to confusion.

“What?”
“I said I love her. And she loves me too.”

“Wait when did this happen Young Do? Are you two dating? Does Tan know? I thought Myung Soo and Ji Young were going out? I can’t believe it.’ She babbled on not giving me a chance to respond. When she finally shut I was able to speak.

“We have been dating since Busan. Eun Sang, she’s different. She makes me feel like a person, she accepts the bad things about myself, those which even I don’t accept yet. She’s such a kind hearted person and keeps me in line. When I met her she helped me see that there is much more to the world than I had realised, especially after losing my mom, Tan and…you. And although she has lost her parents she still made room in her heart to love me. It’s breaking my heart knowing that Myung Soo loves her too. I’m scared that because he’s more deserving of her I’ll lose the only person who has ever loo
