The surface, the land
A Mermaid's Tale
Narrator's pov:
The sun was slowly coming up while Marna fell for the fifteenth time on the ground.
She pouted slightly and rubbed her but befor trying to stand up give it another go. Slowly and steadily she moved one foot and then the other one, but it didn't take long before she ended up on the sand again.
Marna blew her hair out of her face and glared at her legs befoer rubbing them. She fell so many times already that she thought she would get bruised, even though she fell on soft sand.
'This is not as simple as it looked like.' she thought to herself and huffed, wondering how to do this.
It was still pretty early in the morning and no people was in sight but she wanted to be sure to be able to walk before everyone would arrive on the beach.

Marna's pov:
Why is this so hard?!
Okay... calm down... you don't have one tail anymore, you have two legs now. Two legs... Come one... I can do this!
Taking a deep breath, I tried to stand up again, only to lose my balance for the so maniest time that I even lost count of it.
Time passed and slowly, but certainly, I finally got the hang of it.
I was slow, I mean I think I would even crawl faster, but it was good. I mean, i can't crawl like a worm on this land of humans. They would think I'm weird.

"Woohyun." I muttered, trying to walk to him, only to lose balance once again, but this time I didn't fall on the ground.
Opening my eyes, I noticed that Woohyun held me and put me back on my two new feet, giving me a curious smile.
"Hi. I was just taking a morning walk and I suddenly saw a body falling an dstanding." he chuckled, tugging my hair behind my ears.
I blushed lightly and gave him a sheepish grin. "I looked like an idiot, didn't I?"
Woohyun shook his head and gave her a reassuring smile.
"But, tell me! Why are you on the land, no wait, why do you have legs?!" he asked, his shock and surprise returning to his face and to the tone of his voice.
"Euhm...surprise...?" I laughed hesitantly, making him blink his eyes a few times before laughing loudly.
"You really are an unpredicable girl, aren't you?" he chuckled, making me grin back cheerfully.
"It'ss my charm." I shrugged before my legs went soft again.
"Oooh, careful!" Woohyun said quickly and helped me by making me support on his arms. "Even though you have legs, you don't really look like you can use them that pretty well."
I sighed loudely and dropped my head.
"Who would have thought this walking is so tiring and difficult." I pouted.
"It's alright, you'll learn. You can link arms with me for now, we can't let you stand here inn such clothes." Woohyun said, his cheeks suddenly flushing and making him look away.
I looked down and wondered if my
