Marna's pov:

"Where are you going?" Cora asked me as I swam to the surface.

"Euhm...Nothing." I smiled, making Cora look at me suspiciously.

"I know you're planning something, we've been friends for ages!" Cora said, narrowing her eyes at me.

I laughed sheepishly and halted my movements, giving her a nervous smile.

"Why...? What did you do wrong? What are you planning? Is there something wrong?" Cora bombarded with questions.

I shook my head furiously and rubbed my hands together nervously.

"I'm meeting someone..." I whispered, almsot too soft for her to hear.

Her eyes widened a bit while her lips turned up in a curious smile.

"Really? Who are you meeting?" she asked confused.

"A human..."

"A human?! Are you crazy?!" Cora gasped in shock, looking at her best friend with confused eyes.

"Of course I'm not. You're overreacting, Cora." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes at me, Marna!" Cora said, still shocked. "Is it that human you talked about? The one you said had a good voice?"

"No... It's a different one." I smiled. "I don't even know that other human. I met this one yesterday.... at night... He proposed to meet again." I smiled excited.

"But it's a human! Be careful!"

"I will, don't tell anyone about it. Gotta go bye!" I said quickly and moved my tail, shooting up in the water as she noticed the sun was already going down.

I looked around and smiled as I looked at the orange and pink fileld sky.

The sun was going under, but it was still pretty warm.

Looking around, I noticed that human called Woohyun wasn't here yet, so I moved my tail in the water, humming softly and waiting.

I didn't wait for long as I saw a human figure run to me, Woohyun.

He waved his hand and stopped in front of me, settling down on the ground, his legs crossed.

"Hi, you came!" he said excited.

I smiled and nodded my head.

"Marna, right?" he asked as I nodded again, looking at him curiously.

I settled on the same height as him and his eyes wandered to my tail, making me feel a bit exposed.

He grinned and looked back at me, his eyes gleaming.

"I can't believe I really met a mermaid!" Woohyun said, looking at me in awe.

I frowned and looked at myself.

Is it so weird that I'm  mermaid?

"Why?" I asked him, a bit cautious of my words and actions.

"Hmm..? Why? Well... Because practically no one believes in mermaids." he answered, making me frown deeper.

"Don't believe...?" I asked confused.

Woohyun noticed me being in confusion and nodded slowly.

"Yeah... Since apparently merpeople don't exist, but I knew it. I just knew it that people like you exists on this planet." Woohyu
