The first thing Woohyun saw when he opened his eyes was Sunggyu's worried face staring back at him.  He tried to recall what had happened and how he had ended up in a hospital bed.

Sunggyu's face beamed with relief when he saw Woohyun awake.  "How are you feeling?"

"Did you bring me here?" Woohyun asked.

Sunggyu nodded.  "Do you know who did this to you?"

Woohyun looked at the older man and contemplated for a moment before shaking his head.

Sunggyu knew that the boy was hiding something but he did not feel like pressuring him to say it.  "The doctor said you should be right to go home tonight if you want to.  Is there someone you would like me to call to come pick you up?"

"I'll be right," Woohyun replied.  "I can go home by myself."  He started to climb out of bed but Sunggyu stopped him.

"I can't let you go like that," Sunggyu told him.

Woohyun looked at the man with confusion.  "Why?"

"I worry about you," Sunggyu replied.  "I should have driven you home then this wouldn't have happened."

Woohyun shrugged.  "It's not your fault."

"At least let me call someone to come pick you up," Sunggyu insisted.  "Your guardian will probably be worried."

Woohyun laughed.  "I doubt that."

Judging by Woohyun's words, Sunggyu wondered if the boy did not get along with his guardian.  "If that's the case, why don't you come to my place?"


Woohyun stood hesitantly at the door of the lavish apartment.  It was to be expected from the owner of an antique store  yet he could not help but feel intimidated.

Seeing smiled seeing the boy frozen at the door.  "Come on in."

Woohyun took a reluctant step inside and was in awe at the size of the place.

"Make yourself comfortable," said Sunggyu as he led the boy into the lounge area.  "You can sleep in the guest room tonight.  I know it's late but are you hungry?"

Woohyun was about to shake his head when his stomach grumbled.  His face grew red with embarrassment when his stomach reminded him that he had not had dinner.

"I'll take that as a yes," said Sunggyu.


Dinner was ready in no time.  Woohyun sat at the dining table as Sunggyu placed down the last dish that he had prepared. 

"Let's eat," said Sunggyu.

Woohyun looked at the various dishes and smiled.  "This is the first time I've sat down for a proper dinner like this."

His words made Sunggyu curious.  "You don't eat with your guardian?"

Woohyun shook his head.


After dinner, Sunggyu showed Woohyun to the guest room, waiting for the boy to settle into bed.

"Good night," said Sunggyu before switching off the light.

Woohyun contemplated whether to respond or not but decided against it.  He was not used to this kind of treatment.  He pulled the covers over his head and closed his eyes.  Sunggyu stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.  He let out a sigh before walking away.


The group of youths were walking along the deserted street when a figure stood in their way.  They intended to ignore the figure when a group of men surrounded them.
