The next morning you woke up, you rubbed your closed eyes. “You’re awake” a man’s voice woke you up completely. You opened your eyes to see Doojoon sitting on the bed side and yesterday’s incident replay in your mind.

“What happened?” you asked since you had a blackout.

“You fainted. How are you feeling?” Doojoon asked. “I don’t know” you sat down and pulled your legs towards you and hugged them. “What time is it?” you asked.

“Almost 8” he answered.

“Oh no, I’m really late for work” you said and tried to get out from bed but Doojoon stopped you.

“I’m late for work as well but we’re not going to work today. I called your workplace and told them you’re sick. You need rest….. Although you just woke up from a deep sleep. Are you hungry?” Doojoon was blabbering and you laughed.

“Great that I can make you laugh” Doojoon smiled. You stopped laughing, realizing you’ve never laugh for such a long time. Silence was all left.

“So umm I didn’t get to know your name when you know mine” you broke the 15 seconds silence.

“Yoon Doojoon, it’s Yoon Doojoon. Do you want something to eat?” Doojoon flashes a smile.

“Sure” you smiled back. “What do you wanna eat? Since eating out is dangerous and I can’t really cook, we’ll just have delivery foods” Doojoon said as he’s taking out his phone and was about to press some buttons but you put your hand over the phone, making Doojoon look up to you.

“If you don’t mind, I’ll cook for you to thank you for saving me” your voice was so soft and sincere that Doojoon couldn’t help but to let you. “If you insist, okay” Doojoon replied and you pulled back your hand to you.

“Why don’t you take a shower first? Your shirt is dirty so you’re going to have to wear my shirt first and you can wear yours back after we dry clean it” he waited for you to say something but you were waiting for him to continue.

“The bathroom is over there and a fresh new towel is inside. I’ll put the shirt on the bed here later. If you need me, I’ll be at the TV room” Doojoon stood up from where he was sitting and walked out of the room.

Doojoon quickly took out his phone and called his reliable person, his best friend, Dongwoon.

“Yah Dongwoon ah”

“What do you want from me? I’m doing your job alone here”

“Do you want me to help you?”

“Of course! So are you coming to work or not?”

“No”

“YAH”

“Please help me with something. Can you go to the market and buy some groceries? Just anything”

“Why?”

“Just please do it faster! You better be here at my house in 30minutes. Ah also, bring my work from the office too so that you’ll have less to do”

The bell rang and Doojoon ran towards the door and invited Dongwoon in.

“Here are the groceries. I’m going to get the paperwork inside the car” Dongwoon went back to his car.

Meanwhile Doojoon was rushing to unload the groceries and put them in the cabinet and fridge. Dongwoon came back from his car and went into Doojoon’s house.

“Where did the groceries go?” Dongwoon asked as he put a bundle of papers on your coffee table.

“Did you unpack them? That fast?” Dongwoon asked. “Why are you acting so in a rush?” he asked again. Then you came out from Doojoon’s room and Dongwoon eyes were as if they were going to pop out from their sockets.

You looked at Dongwoon and still remember him from yesterday. “Nice to meet you again” you bowed and then look at Doojoon.

“If you don’t mind, I have something to talk about with this man so please help yourself in the kitchen. I’ll help you after we’re done discussing. It won’t be long, I promise” Doojoon pushed the stiff Dongwoon into his room and closed the door tight.

“It’s not what you think!” Doojoon started off.

“Well, since I’m your close friend, I wasn’t even thinking what you thought I was thinking. But it does looks like it. You know, she’s wearing your shirt, came out from your room and she smells so nice so I assume she showered here. She spent the night here, am I right?” Dongwoon said.

“You’re right, it does look different. But it isn’t.” Doojoon went on explaining about what happened yesterday.

“You both had some serious bad luck. What is it with her family?” Dongwoon asked after the 30 minutes of explaining and questions answering session.

“I’m not sure either. I wanted to ask her but it seems like I don’t have the right to ask her” Doojoon answered. “Dongwoon ah, I better help her in the kitchen” Doojoon left the room and went to help you.

“Are you okay?” Doojoon appeared next to you. “Yes, it’s all good, I’m almost done. You have such fresh ingredients for someone who doesn’t do cooking. No wonder your friend is here”

Doojoon rubbed his head and Dongwoon who heard what you said, laughed at Doojoon. “Secrets out Doojoonie”

You couldn’t help but to join laughing with Dongwoon. Doojoon felt embarrassed and tried to hide it “Dongwoon ah, don’t you have work to do back at the office?”

“Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that. I’ll get going then” Dongwoon left.

“He’s my best friend and also my assistant at work. Do you need help?” Doojoon asked. You shook your head with a smile, still feeling like laughing. “Pabo” you thought.

“Seeing that you’re smiling and also laughing, you’re feeling okay” Doojoon said.

“Is this what happy feels like? I’ve never felt like this for a such a long time that I forgot how easy it makes you feel” you thought as your smile fades. “I miss you omma”
