Imperfect

Getting Over You

“Come on Hannah!” Ji Min loudly whispered from the bottom of Hannah’s window. Ji Min waited patiently for her best friend to come down through her window and down the temporary ladder Hannah uses to sneak out with. She would usually use it to sneak out with Minho when her parents did not allow her to see him because of the lateness in time. Hannah dose not mean to disobey her parents, she’s always been a good child but sometimes she cannot help but defy her parent’s regulations. Doesn’t every teenage act that way?

It was 4 am in the morning, it was a day where it was meant to represent the turning point of Hannah’s life. “Hannie we need to beat traffic and still buy tickets,” Ji Min whispered but loud enough for Hannah to hear through her window. Before Ji Min lost her patients, Hannah turned the lights of to her room and climbed out of her window. She safely reach the ground pulled the rope and caught it with her bare arms. She hid it in the bushes and quickly ran to Ji Min’s car. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Ji Min asked her friend before she hopped into her car. She gave her friend a nod, “I really want to do this.”

---

“The train to Seoul will be leaving in 5 minutes,” a lady over the loud speaker announced. Hannah who was buying snacks for the train trip she was about to embark on sigh at the announcement. She hasn't arrived in Seoul yet, let alone boarded the train and already Hannah was shaking in fear.
The moment she gets on that train determines whether if her dreams will ever come true. “Let’s go,” Ji Min pulled the tense Hannah out of the shop and onto the platform to catch the train.

Thanks to the advantage of the high speed train, the ride to Seoul only took 3 hours tops. The ride was very smoothing and somehow Ji Min got to earn some sleep. Hannah on the other hand could not even get a second worth of sleep. Her thoughts continued to keep her awake. The moment she saw the outline of the buildings of Seoul made her more edgy.

Seoul, where my dreams are meant to come true

---

“Breath..” Ji Min repeated for the 100th time. “Look you’re going to go in there and outshine those other 6 opponents. You have a good voice, you can bust a move, you have a pretty face, a great hour glass figure and a loveable personality.” Ji Min cupped her best friend’s face, “You’ll be amazing,” she assured.

“You’re only say that because you’re my best friend,” there comes the negativity that Hannah had within herself. The many fans she had at school never notice this characteristic in her but her best friend and boyfriend had to live with it everyday. Ji Min gave up, what exactly did her best friend wants to hear? If she talked negative she would get scold for talking negative, but if she spoke positively, she would get scold for speaking so positively. It’s a game that Ji Min could not win, it’s best for her  to just shut up.

Ji Min couldn’t help but turn her back and walk away. “Wait! Where are you going?” Hannah had to chase after the girl. “Stop!” Ji Min turned around at the raging voice of Hannah. “Where are you going?” Hannah had to repeated again just in case Ji Min didn’t catch it the first time.

“Hannah, you’re not going to get in with that attitude. You always downgrade yourself but in the end you would always do well. It turns out you have just been scaring yourself the whole time. It may have worked back when we were in Busan, but Hannah we are in Seoul. This isn’t Busan where you are classified as number one, now you are competing with hundreds of thousands of people with the same dream. I did not wake up early in the morning and help you sneak out to Seoul just so I can hear negative attitude coming from you,” Ji Min continued her speech. “You try so hard to be perfect, but Hannah that doesn’t work for this situation. You have to go into that room and try not to be perfect, you have to be ‘you’, because at the end of the day the judges are going to fall in love with your personality, your dreams, your aspirations, your talents. Let them see that Hannah that everyone loves.”

“Number 364 to 340, please,” Hannah and Ji Min looked at the sticker Hannah had stuck onto her shirt.

340

“Okay, look remember what I said,” Ji Min reminded her best friend. About to faint, Hannah just nodded trying to remember what she has come prepared for her audition. The announcement called out Hannah’s number again, without thinking twice Hannah slowly took small steps to the entrance door of the casting room. She held on to the single pedant of a music note that was placed around her neck by a silver lace. It was given by Minho as a present for their celebration of their 100th day. It was a necklace she wore pretty much every day, a necklace she kept so close to her. She not only loved it but it was also so special to her. For Minho it was a gift but for Hannah it kept great sentimental value to her, only because it was the gift that her first love has ever given her.

“Remember Han, breath,” Ji Min called out as Hannah walked closer to the audition room. “Make sure you remember to breath, that won’t end well if you don’t.” Until her very last minutes upon entering the room, Ji Min cared for her friend. She knew she was nervous, who wouldn’t be as Hannah was embarking her journey to her dreams pretty much alone.

Hannah comes from a wealthy loving family in Busan. Being the only child Hannah was born with a silver spoon fed into . Money and wealth didn’t mean much to her, the biggest wealth Hannah could ever possess was the love her parent gave her. Which she received so much off, sometimes way to much. Outside the family Hannah had Ji Min her best friend, her boyfriend Minho and the people who adore her at school. Hannah has so much support, but she wanted to walk this pathway alone. She wanted to throw herself into the deep end to see if she can survive. Only Ji Min knew about her current location and objective. She entrust her friend to accompany her to SM Entertainment’s annual auditions in Seoul.

Her dream was crazy to some

Some believed she could cure cancer with that brain of hers

People think that she can go further in life then becoming an artist

But this was something Hannah wanted,

No one could stop her from reaching her dream

---

“Number 340, please step forward,” one of the six judges called Hannah forward. Hannah tried not to shake as she took a step forward.

I don’t want to be address as a number, I want to be know, I want people to address me as Choi Hannah.

“Why do you want to be an idol?” one of the judges asked Hannah. Hannah couldn’t answer due to anxiety. “….because..”

“Because why?” the judge took her reading glasses of and scarily narrowed her eyes at her. Hannah already found her scary, so she closed her eyes avoiding that woman's scary eyes. She remembered what Ji Min told her earlier

You have to go into that room and try not to be perfect, you have to be ‘you’, because at the end of the day the judges are going to fall in love with your personality.

“Because, I…” She continue to think

Be myself

Be myself

Be myself

“I don’t want the money, nor the cars or flashy clothes. I want to be famous because, because I love performing. You may get the same feedback from other, but it’s the truth and no wonder people say it so much. Fame comes with performing well, and I want to perform well. I just want to perform,”

"Thank you Choi Hannah,"

Hannah was gladly to be addressed by her name instead of a number, she guessed it was because she kindly received the respect she wanted. Following her friend’s advice, Hannah did not pretend to be perfect when she wasn’t. She was herself and answered the truth with her heart.

Fame comes with performing well making Hannah right  with her assumption. Fame or money wasn’t what she was asking for. All Hannah wanted was a big stage with people respecting her as an audience as they give their full attention to her dancing and singing. She may have gotten the respect from the judges as they all looked at each other and smiled happily as they wrote down notes on their little clipboards. Hannah was proud with her speech which continued her to speak even when she wasn't ordered to.

“Actually people say I have the brain to find a cure for cancer, but still I chose to become an idol because…” she was stopped by a hand that one of the judges put up. She stopped and quickly swallowed her own saliva. Hannah got too comfortable to fast, and now her fellow competitors are hiding their laughter, mocking her.

Hannah bowed her head in disappear, she didn’t mean to reach the line. She thought the judges already liked her, but obviously not. This was not a good start to the audition….

Hannah isn't perfect, this showed that she was imprefct

People think or swear that Hannah is some perfect godess

but she isn't

she's imperfect

Aurthors Note

So much different from the first chapter aye? Well this is just making the to the actual story about Hannah and Luhan. So now you can see I described Hannah as this perfect human in the first chapter but the second one, she isn't so perfect. Also Minho and her parents don't know about her auditioning because she doesn't want them to know. You know how you do things and you just don't want people to know or you know you will get in trouble by it, well Hannah is in one of thoes situations.

Please forgive me, I know it's boring and it will get better. But Yolo hahahhaha anyways next chapter there will be a big fight between Hannah and Minho :)))

Also sorry for the late update, I'm graduating high school in less then a week and for the last few weeks I  have been preparig for it, like final exams, my drivers license, finding a second job and college applications. So please forgive me hahahahah
