Tip #2
K-Pop Audition/Trainee QuestionsIt's important to be versatile as a K-pop Idol. Look at Korea's national girl group: SNSD. Their verstaility is shown through their concepts (Cute: Gee, Oh; Chic: Genie, y: Run Devil Run, The Boys, Hip Hop: I Got a Boy). Its also important to note that if you do get accepted by an entertainment agency, they will most likely pick an image for you -- one the agency will feel will bring you (or the group) the most popularity. For example, look at Luhan from EXO who has a very cute/flower-boy image yet in real life, is quite manly. Or at Kai who is actually really shy and hated it when he first learned that his role in EXO was supposed to be y. Be prepared for anything the company will throw at you, be it nerdy, y, cute, boyish/manly, girly, chic, etc. It's important to understand the concept of "image" in Korean entertainment. Get used to lying by now.
