Tip #6
K-Pop Audition/Trainee QuestionsBe wary of entertainment agencies that ask for a "price" for you to start training/auditioning. It's understandable that some smaller, less-known companies would ask for money for training sometimes -- as training does cost a lot of money. But generally, you pay back your training costs once you debut and make money (which is why most rookies are really poor and stuff) As an international, I would stay clear of any companies you have never heard of in your life and stick closely with companies that have debuted relatively successful groups/solos. Many entertainment agencies in Korea act like those "modeling in mall" scams, so be extra careful with any companies (be sure to research if they happen to give a business card!).
Scams occur quite frequently, so for internationals, be sure to research or stick with companies you've heard of!
