Chapter 5
Its you, Sehun-ah [Hiatus]
Sehun's P.O.V
Kai and me have been best friends since freshman year, he was the one I went to besides Jessica, although I have to admit I prefer in Jessica more. "As long as you don't hurt Jessica again, then yes, we're cool." Kai sighed a long sigh then randomly smiled.
"So...are you sure you don't have feelings for Jessica?" Kai asked me jokingly. I laughed slightly while laying on his couch, looking at the ceiling. "She's just my best friend Kai. I love her a lot, but only as friends. Krystal, on the other hand, means everything to me. I can't imagine my life without her." I could feel Kai eyes on me as he shook his head.
"You and Jessica just seem so right together, I mean I really thought that you guys would be together in high school. But everything changed when you met Krystal." I laughed at that and thought back to when I met Krystal.
*Flashback 3 years ago*
"Sehun, I'm so excited my sister's coming back to live with us!" Jessica exclaimed. She twirled in the rain not caring that she was soaking wet. I, on the other hand, hated getting wet. Especially from rain.
"Jessica, I'm happy for you but do you think we can get out of the rain?" I might have sounded like a party pooper but staying out in the rain too much could cause you to have pnuemonia. Jessica could care less for she shook her head no and twirled faster and faster.
"C'mon Sehun, dance with me!" She ran to me and put her arms around my neck. God she looked beautiful. She smiled, her amazing smile, and soon we were dancing. "Wow, you really are happy right now aren't you?" I asked, noting that she was smiling like crazy.
"You could say that," she said never taking her eyes off me. "You know we can get pnuemonia from being in the rain too long right?" Of course I had to put my nerd personality on right now. Jessica laughed, her angelic laugh, and stopped dancing.
"You're such a nerd, Sehun....I love it." She twirled one last time infront of me, savoring the moment, and took my hand making her way to her house.
"Mom, I'm home!" She yelled as we took off our shoes. Although it didn't really make a difference due to the fact that we were soaking wet. I came over Jessica's house almost everyday, so her mom was use to me being around the house. I was taking my coat off as Jessica made her way to the kitchen, then all of a sudden I heard two girl screams.
I quickly ran to the kitchen to see what happened only to be welcomed by Jessica hugging the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. There she was bouncing as she jumped up and down with Jessica in her arms. A single tear rolled down her cheek and for some reason I wanted to wipe the tear away. I didn't like the fact that this angel that was standing in front of me was crying, although I could tell they were happy tears.
"Unnie! You have no idea how much I've missed you," Jessica exclaimed. This is the very first time I'd truely seen Jessica happy and it put a smile to my face. I loved when Jessica was happy. It made her look all the more beautiful.
"I know exactly how you feel, Jess," the angel said, with her angelic voice. She suddenly let go of Jessica and as she did so, she made eye contact with me. I felt a sudden blade of electricity shoot through me as her brown eyes gazed into mine. She smiled, a beautiful smile, and turned back to Jessica.
"And who, may I ask, is this gentlemen?" she asked Jessica. Jessica spun around and as soon as she saw me she smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. "Oh, Sehun! I'm so sorry," she grabbed my soaking hand and brought myself closer to her and the angel. Of course, I had to be soaking wet when I meet the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen.
"Unnie, this is Sehun, my best friend in the entire world," Jessica said smiling. "And, Sehun, this is my amazing sister, Krystal." I couldn't take my eyes off of Krystal, she was just perfect in every way. "Its nice to meet you, Sehun." Krystal put her hand out for me too greet and I took it almost instantly. God, why did I have to be so obvious at this moment.
Usually, I wasn't like this around girls, but this girl was different from all the others. "Nice to meet you too. Jessica has told me so much about you," I said, glad that my voice was smooth and clear.
"That sounds like my Jess," Krystal said eyeing Jessica. Jessica laughed and hugged Krystal one more time. Jessica then told us that she needed to change and soon she was followed by Krystal out of the kitchen. Mrs. Jung told me that I could stay for dinner and that she'd get me some new clothes for tonight but I wasn't really paying attention.
Only one thing was on my mind.. I would stop at nothing to win Krystal's heart.
*End of flashback*
"Dude, are you even listening to anything I'm saying?" Kai's voice brought me back to reality. I looked at him with a confused look. "Sorry, just thinking." I said as if I was embarassed. Kai just shook his head and went on talking about random stuff.
I checked my phone a while later and realized I had been at Kai's for more that 3 hours. I decided to leave and check on Jessica and Krystal. As I pulled up in their drive way I saw Jessica sitting on the roof, playing the guitar while looking up at the stars. It was her favorite 'getaway', as she liked to call it. I got out of my car and just watched her. I didn't know how long I just stood there but I guess it was long for she said,
"You know its rude to stare," she said smiling down at me, and I knew she was joking. Her hair was in a messy bun, like always, wearing her favorite pajama's that I had given her for Christmas last year. She looked beautiful like always and I couldn't help but smile at her.
"I couldn't help myself," I told her, making my voice sound seductive and y. She rolled her eyes at my sudden change in voice and laughed quietly. "You can come join me if you want," she said, still smiling. Krystal suddenly popped into my head. I sighed slightly frowning.
"Jess, I'd love to, but I came to see Krystal. Do you know where she is?" Jessica's face slightly fell and it pained me to see that beautiful smile dissappear from her face. But she quickly regained herself and smiled at me again.
"She's in her room, I think." Then she started going back to playing her guitar. I hated when Jessica did this. When she was angry or upset she'd stop talking and that's exactly what she was doing.
"Jess," I said. But she didn't turn to look at me. Instead she strummed harder on the guitar, trying to block the sound of my voice from her ears. I sighed
defeatedly.
"C'mon Jess, I'm sorry. You know I'd love to hang out but Krystal is my girlfriend and I need to check on her. Please don't be mad," I tried to plead. She stopped strumming and looked down at me. I noticed that her eyes held sadness and I cursed under my breath for making her feel that way. She sighed and nodded her head.
"Its fine, Sehun, I'm not mad at you. Its just that, I don't know, I feel like we haven't hung out in a while, and I miss that. But Krystal is your girlfriend and she deserves your full attention."
She then quickly got up from the roof and made her way to her window. She didn't turn back to look at me and I couldn't help but just stand there and think about what she had said. She was right. Ever since I started dating Krystal, I didn't have any time for Jessica. I cursed under my breath, a second time, for barely noticing it now.
I made my way to the front door to be greeted by Mrs.Jung. I said my greetings and slowly made my way to Krystal's room, knocking on the door. "Come in," she said. I entered and found her on her bed painting her nails. She was so girly. She looked up from her nails and smiled when she noticed it was me who had come in.
"Babe?! What are you doing here?" she asked getting up from her bed, giving me a kiss. "Can't a boyfriend drop by to visit his girl?" I asked, smiling my killer smile, I knew girls loved. She smiled at me.
"Aw, and that's why I love you so much," she said. I was about to kiss her when I heard someone play the piano from the next room. Krystal pulled away, looking frusterated.
"Ugh! I thought I told Jessica to play on the roof!" Krystal yelled. "You know she can't play the piano on the roof right?" I asked her, trying to make her laugh. She didn't and I knew that she was pissed off. But I didn't understand why Jessica playing the piano would bother her.
"Krystal, she's just playing the piano. Its no big deal." I said, trying to reason with her. She rolled her eyes and sighed out an exaggerated sigh. "Not if you hear it day after day! Ugh, it gets annoying you know." She went back to her bed and pouted like a five year old. It was my turn to roll my eyes.
"Its her passion, you know, just like your passion for fashion." I told her trying to make her realize that she was over reacting. She seemed to understand as she sighed and nodded her head.
"Yeah, your right. I guess I over reacted a little bit." She bit her lip, and layed down on her bed. God, she looked y doing that. I shook my head and layed next to her. I thought she'd love me doing that but she gasped when I layed next to her.
"Sehun, my nail polish. You made it smear!" She said looking at her nails. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Sorry." I mumbled even though I really wasn't. She just looked at me as if she knew I didn't mean it. I got up from the bed and made my way towards the door.
"Wait, where are you going?" Krystal asked trailing behind me. "I'm leaving, I'll see you tomorrow at school." I said not looking back at her.
I was a little angry that when I tried to be with her, but she'd blow me off for nailpolish, lip gloss, or other girly neccesities. I just wanted her to be in the same way, not worrying about anything but our love for eachother. I know I may sound like a hopless romantic but that was me.
"Babe, don't be mad. Its just that...I work hard when I do my nails and-" "Its fine, babe, I understand. I'm just tired. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you." I said, turning back to hug her. She hugged me back, but it was different from the rest of the hugs. I sighed knowing that she was trying to be careful with her nails. I pulled away and peck her lips lightly and went out the door.
I looked towards Jessica's door and debated whether or not to knock on it. Finally, after moments of cowarding, I knocked on her door. The piano stopped and all I heard was shuffling, then it suddenly stopped as she pulled the door open.
"Sehun?" She said with a confused look on her face. I just smiled. "Hey Jess," I said. She moved away from the door to let me in. I looked around to see if I could find what she was hiding before I came in but nothing stood out to me. Her room was filled with music notes, famous singers, cd players, sport trophies, and her favorite athletes.
"I thought you came to see Krystal," I heard Jessica say as she sat on her bed with the guitar in her hand. I sat down next to her. When I didn't speak she started playing the guitar. I got her other guitar, and started strumming along with her. It was like that for a while just us playing the guitar. I occasionly glanced at her, and found her smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile back. When the song finished, I looked at her, and couldn't take it anymore. I needed to say it.
"Jess, I'm sorry," I said. She looked at me confused. "I'm sorry for not being there, not being your best friend. Ever since Krystal and I started dating, I've been busy with her, and I'm sorry I haven't realized it. I-" "Sehun, you don't have to apologize. She's your girlfriend. She needs you, she has every right to have your time. I'm merely just your best friend." She said, not looking at me, but at her window, perticularly at the stars.
"Jess, you don't have to always make up excuses for everyone. I miss you too, you know." I said, making her look at me. She smiled and put her guitar down. She then took the guitar I had in my hand and put it away as well.
"So what are you saying?" She asked with a smile, as she crossed her arms in front of me. "Movie night, like old times, this Saturday?" I asked too hopeful. She laughed at my eagerness and nodded her head yes. I got up quickly and hugged her right there. She hugged me back, squeezing me to much, but I didn't mind.
"Oh Sehun, you always make me laugh." Jessica said. "You know, how I do, Baby," I said, using my y voice. She rolled her eyes and pushed me away from her. I laughed as she did that. She was so cute, when she showed her innocence.
"Its late, I should be going," I said, though I didn't want to. Jessica's smile faded but she nodded her head in agreement. I walked towards the door but was pulled back by Jessica, giving me yet another hug. I hugged her back, smiling like crazy.
"I love you, Sehun," she murmured.
"And I love you, Jess, always."
Ta-daaa! And thats the flashback when they first met! I actually dont have a wifi on my house, so, its kind of hard to update. Bear with me please? Hehehehe. I'll update it, soon!^^
