Jessica's P.O.V.

You know that saying, if you truely love someone, you should let them go? Well I just did, and the pain was literally unbearable. I knew that Sehun and Krystal's breakup could have been the access to opening up with Sehun and confessing my love for him. 

But I couldn't do it, I just couldn't.

I knew I could never compete with Krystal, of winning Sehun's love. I could feel tears threatning my eyes but I blinked them away. No, don't cry, Jess, I told myself. Be strong, just stay strong.

I didn't feel like going to to any of my classes today but I had to, I was already here. I dozed off in everyone of my classes today, just thinking about how happy Sehun and Krystal would be.

That thought, slightly, made me smile. Lunch came around and I saw Krystal sitting at an empty table, looking sad, the way she did this morning. I wrinkled my eyebrows in confusion. Hadn't her and Sehun made up?

"Krys, why are you sitting all by yourself? Where's Sehun?" I asked. She looked up at me with her sad brown eyes. "We haven't made up yet Jessica. I haven't seen him in all day. Oh, Jess, I miss him so much," she said burrying her face in her hands.

"What are you talking about? I talked to him this morning! Last time I saw him, he was running like a mad man trying to find you. He was going to beg you to take him back," I said, rememebering the memory all over again.

Krystal suddenly looked up. "He did?!" she exclaimed. "Yeah...so why didn't he?" I asked confused.

As if on cue, guitar strumming filled the air and I turned around to see Sehun playing the guitar, making his way to the table Krystal was sitting at. He looked so handsome, and I couldn't help but smile at him. I looked down at Krystal who was looking at Sehun with a confused look.

Sehun, then, stood in front Krystal opening his mouth and sing Without You by David Guetta.

I couldn't help but notice the love Sehun was perfoming for Krystal. Once the song was over, Sehun knelt down, the guitar strapped around his back, and looked deeply into Krystal's eyes.

The whole cafeteria was watching their scene, but Krystal and Sehun didn't seem to notice and they just gazed at eachother.

"Krystal, I realize that today, I don't ever want to experince life without you. I want to wake up every morning with you by my side, I want you, and only you to be my wife. You may think I'm crazy for telling you this but I can't keep it to myself any longer. I love you, so much, Krystal. I can't imagaine my life without you. And that's why I want to ask you something."

Sehun, then reached into his pocket, pulling out a small red box. My heart dropped at the sight of Sehun kneeling in front of Krystal with a red box in his hands. I knew exactly what he was doing.

Tears threatned my eyes, once again, but I blinked them away. No, don't cry Jess, be strong, I kept repeating to myself. 

Sehun opened the box, revealing, a beautiful diamond engagement ring. Krystal had tears running down her face.

"Marry me," Sehun said, never taking his eyes off Krystal. Those words pierced my heart.

Don't cry, be strong Jess. Krystal's face glowed with happiness as she screamed yes, jumping into Sehun's arms.

The entire cafeteria cheered as Krystal accepted Sehun's proposal. My eyes wandered to the lunch ladies who were looking at Sehun and Krystal in awe, and others complained to their boyfriends how they should be more romantic like Sehun.

Jessica's POV

I took in a deep breath to calm myself down, but that didn't seem to work. Sehun was gone forever. I couldn't take it anymore, I had to leave.

As I began scanning the cafeteria for the nearest exit, my eyes came in contact with a pair of hazel eyes, belonging to none other than, Kai.

His eyes held concern and sorrow, and for some odd reason, I felt as if he knew exactly what I was feeling.

I shook my head and ran towards the exit, dont want to look back. I made my way to the football field and looked at the sky.

Why did I have to love Sehun? Why did I have to love someone who would never love me like I wanted to be loved? I was tired of always letting others be happy. When was I going to be happy?

I couldn't take it anymore, I didn't care anymore. I fell to the ground and just screamed.

​I didn't cry, I couldnt. It only showed weakness. I didn't know how long I stayed that way but I didn't care anyways.

I looked up at the sky taking deep and calm breaths. I, then, decided to turn around, to go back to the school. But as I did so, I came face to face with Kai.

"Kai? What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice cracking a bit. I cursed under my breath for showing my weakness to my biggest enemy ever. I didn't want to look at him, he would only take my weakness as an advantage.

"I followed you," he said, though it was quiet. His voice was filled with concern, unlike his usual cockyness. "Why?" I whispered, for fear of having my voice crack again. 

He didn't answer right away, but walked towards me, putting his index finger under my chin, making me looked into those hazel eyes of his. And for the first time, I realized how beautiful his eyes were, even more, how handsome he was.

"I know Jessica," he whispered, never taking his eyes off mine. "Know what?" I whispered back, looking down at his lips, which I didn't know why I was. Here I am talking to Kim Jongin, my biggest enemy since Junior High.

"You love him," he said.

It wasn't a question, but a statement. My heart accelereted. He knew, the famous Kim Jongin a.k.a Kai knew my love for Sehun. But how?

"Love who, Kai?" I asked turning away from him. I decided to play dumb, no one could know that I loved Sehun. I looked at the sky for a distraction. I heard him sigh, while putting his hands in his pockets. 

"You don't have to put on the act in front of me, Jung, I know. You love him, you love Sehun." He stated. I sighed defeatedly. I turned back to look at him, this time he was looking at the sky.

"How?" I asked. He looked down at me, at first not saying anything. "Just simply by the way you look at him. The way your eyes light up when he enters the room or when you see him. But most importantly, the sacrifices you do for him...by letting him be with Krystal. That's not just called being best friends, but something more, something called love," he said. 

I looked at him in shock. Never in a million years whould I think Kai would say those words to me, or say them at all. It was silent between us, a good silent.

I then looked at Kai, only to find him staring down at me. "What?" I asked. He shook his head. 

"I'm sorry," he suddenly blurted. Okay now I was completley shocked, Kai was actually apologizing...to me?

"For what?" I ask him. He half smiles at me. "Just for all the crap I've done to you. But most importantly, because Sehun doesn't see you as the one for him to love, but don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." I felt pain at the mention of Sehun and love. But at the same time I felt peace and happiness at the sight of Kai comforting me.

"Thanks Kai," I said. He smiles down at me, for a third time, and pulls out his right hand as if we were meeting for the first time. I look at him confused. He laughes at my facial expression but composes himself. 

We smile at each other and soon I realized that there's more to Kai than I thought.

Add a little Kai and Sica here! There'll be a lot of Kai and Sica moment from now on, stay tune~
