Thank you!  I'm really glad you said you'll give it a try.  I'll understand if you decide to stop, but if you do, would you please let me know?  That way I won't just be left wondering.

My classmates find it a bother, their penpals find it a bother, and you find it a bother too.  Am I the only person in the world who actually wants to write letters?  It is rather important to me, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable telling you why just yet.  I'll tell you later, but could you give me some time?
