Boys over Towers

After that day, everyone had finally started to calm down. Kris wasn’t glaring at Tao anymore and Tao didn’t have his eyebrows furrowed any longer. Sehun was back to his old, giddy self, throwing jokes as he sat beside Baekhyun during dinner. Luhan was on Baekhyun’s right, trying his best not to laugh since it seemed like he didn’t deserve to.

“We’re going home tomorrow.” Kris said as everyone finished up their dinner and began on dessert. “Make you guys pack everything and don’t leave anything behind.” Kris said he wiped his mouth and headed back to his room.

Baekhyun felt like this “vacation” or “trip” was one of the craziest his been on. He almost died and yet he’s going to go back home like nothing happened. He was grateful since no one seemed to pity him, they all treated him normally. He walked into the room, a glass of milk placed in his hand.

Chanyeol followed Baekhyun from behind, stealthy under Baekhyun’s shifty movements. Chanyeol hadn’t spoken to Baekhyun since that night, and he was dying to bring up that… that… statement up.

Baekhyun abruptly turned around to face Chanyeol in the face, surprised expression marked on his pale skin. “God, you surprised me.” He hadn’t noticed Chanyeol follow from behind him. He felt like his heart was going to pop out of his chest. Baekhyun quickly turned around as to not further remember the thing he said to Chanyeol that night.

“Baekhyun…” Baekhyun cringed as Chanyeol said his name, his real name. He swallowed and proceeded to walk towards the bed, feeling the tower soft on his trail. “Baekhyun…” He heard from behind him again.

He turned around to see Chanyeol with a longing expression. He felt like he was going to get dumped right then and there. Chanyeol hadn’t replied to him when he had confessed, so he was so sure that Chanyeol didn’t return the feelings he held. The way he touched Baekhyun felt like a dad holding unto his child, or an older brother trying his best to comfort his younger brother. The last thing he wanted to hear was rejection.

“Ch-Chanyeol, I’m going to have to retract what I said that night.” Baekhyun forced a smile, avoiding Chanyeol’s gaze. “I-I didn’t mean it. It was in the heat of the moment, and I was… joking.” He gulped hard and turned to his bed. “W-well, goodnight.”

Chanyeol didn’t say anything, but felt his heart drop to his stomach. It was a joke. He couldn’t help but let silent tears stream down his face. Park Chanyeol, you are so ing stupid.

--------------

Baekhyun stood in the hallway, bag resting on his shoulder as he watched the Suho knock then shout into each room, waking up the boys who resided in each room. Baekhyun couldn’t help but smile at the busy Suho. He had this foolish grin as he woke up the others, something your mom would pull when she managed to wake you up from your deep slumber.

Baekhyun saw Chanyeol sitting on one of the benches far on the other side of the villa. He was going through his phone, eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Baekhyun couldn’t fall asleep after he had told Chanyeol that it was all a “joke” and didn’t dare look him in the eyes when they had woken up.

One by one, the boys exited their rooms. Baekhyun eyed each one of them curiously, as Tao and Kris seemed to be a lot closer than they were the other day. Tao walked closely beside Kris, who had finally returned to his normal face. Baekhyun sighed in relief and quickly turned to look if Sehun and Luhan had followed.

But they were still at a distance, and Sehun couldn’t help but steal glances at the somehow permanently pouting Luhan. Baekhyun shrugged it off and headed for the car that would take them to the airport.

By the time they reached Seoul, it was already night. Baekhyun waved off the others and headed out of the airport, patiently waiting for a taxi that would take him back home. All he wanted to do was face-plant himself into his familiar bed and just fall asleep.

It was 10:30 pm when he got home, and his parents still weren’t home. “They don’t need to work themselves to the bone, I already told them I’m coming home today.” Baekhyun could only frown at the note on the kitchen counter.

“Welcome home Baekie! Your mom and I are going to be at work and will come home later than we expected. Sorry we wont be able to have dinner with you once you get back L We’ll come home as soon as we can! Love, Mom and Dad.”

Baekhyun could only sigh, stealing a glance at the bunch of food that were plastic covered on the dining table. He had slowly unfolded each dish, revealing a bowl’s contents of Kimchi soup, a plate of meat, 3 pieces of bulgogi, a bunch of side dishes and a bowl of rice.

He started to stuff his mouth with the contents of the plates, not being able to hear the knock on the door. When he momentarily stopped, he stood up and walked towards the loud banging against the wood, pieces of rice still stuck on the edge of his mouth.

He gasped when he opened the door, revealing Chanyeol with his bag in his hand and eyes looking drowsy. Baekhyun could only look at the giant in horror, as he had seen Chanyeol drink a few glasses of wine back at the plane, and a very annoyed Luhan trying his best to stop Chanyeol from drinking any more.

Chanyeol turned his head to the small boy in front of him and spread a smile across his face. “Baekieee~” Chanyeol said as he let go of his bag and lifted his arms in the air, clinging and falling unto Baekhyun. They both lay in between the front door and the porch that lead to the outside. “Chanyeol! Get yourself together!” Baekhyun said as he tried his best to move out of Chanyeol’s weight. He successfully struggled free and watched as Chanyeol squirmed in drunkenness.

He sighed and grabbed Chanyeol’s arms and dragged him unto the couch, closing the door after he got Chanyeol’s bag. “What am I going to do with you?” Baekhyun had sat on the coffee table in front of the sofa, watching the sleeping boy in awe.

Chanyeol was undeniably beautiful. His face was majestic and his body was broad and wide, limbs long and strong. Baekhyun found himself remembering of how those limbs were wrapped around his small frame, his chin resting on those broad shoulders…

Baekhyun shrugged the memory off and went back to eating. He finished up and started to wash the dishes as he felt hands touch his hips. He jerked back in surprise, water splashing unto the back of his shirt as he turned around. He found himself face-to-face with Chanyeol, him looking down on the boy. “Hehe, you still have rice hear.” Chanyeol drunkenly said as pointed on Baekhyun’s mouth.

Baekhyun lifted his hand to try to get rid of the rice, but he Chanyeol shook his head in disapproaval. “You didn’t get it.” The next few minutes were spent on Baekhyun covering his whole face with his hands, and Chanyeol still shaking his head saying No, you didn’t get it.

Baekhyun finally found himself feeling ridiculous. “Chan, you’re drunk.” He pushed Chanyeol lightly on the shoulders and made his way to clear the rest of the table. He could feel Chanyeol stay in the same position he was in, hindering Baekhyun from the faucet. “Chanyeol, ya, move.” He said, gently shoving Chanyeol out of the way and placing the remaining plates into the lathered water.

“I said… you didn’t get it.” The deepness of Chanyeol’s voice resounded in the empty house. Baekhyun gaped and immediately returned to washing the dishes. “There was nothing there.” He finished washing the dishes and turned off the faucet. “Shut up, you’re dru-“

Baekhyun was stopped when Chanyeol rammed his lips unto Baekhyun’s. Baekhyun felt himself met as Chanyeol entered his mouth, his tongue tasting like expensive brandy. Chanyeol put his hands against the edge of the kitchen counter, pushing Baekhyun nearer to his pounding chest. Baekhyun clutched Chanyeol’s shirt as the room filled with small moans from him in between kisses.

“C-Chanyeol…” Baekhyun moaned as Chanyeol didn’t let go of Baekhyun’s tongue. Baekhyun had to push Chanyeol away just to breathe. Chanyeol stood there in disappointment, a genuinely sad expression carved into his face.

Baekhyun couldn’t stand it when Chanyeol looked sad. He looked behind Chanyeol and entwined his fingers with his, turning off the lights and bringing him upstairs and into his room.

Baekhyun had closed the door of his room and locked it, hoping his parents wouldn't randomly come home and see what he was about to do. He turned to face Chanyeol and found himself unconsciously pushing him against the wall, arms wrapped around Chanyeol’s neck.

He melted in the kisses Chanyeol threw around his body, his hand wandering into places he never thought anyone would every want to touch. And then he realized, Chanyeol is drunk. He didn’t want his first time to be with a drunk man, even if it was the person he loved.

“Chanyeol, let’s stop.” He bit his lip. He knew he was the one who instigated this, and he wanted it so bad that he couldn’t look Chanyeol straight in the eyes. “Why…?” Chanyeol felt like his heart was going to fail, not being able to take in the endless rejections Baekhyun keeps throwing at him. “Y-You’re drunk. I’m afraid that you wouldn’t want to do this if you weren’t drunk.”

Chanyeol could only smile in reply. “I’m not drunk, I love you. I love you so much that I don’t want to let go of you. I want to see your face all the time, and I feel my heart tightening whenever I don’t see you.” Baekhyun felt tears well up in his eyes, and fought the urge to plant another kiss on Chanyeol’s lips, which was dangerously close.

“When I got that phone call, I was scared to death. I thought I’d lose you, forever. I didn’t want to let you go, so I wont. Not now, not ever.” Chanyeol wrapped his arms around Baekhyun, his hand rummaging through Baekhyun’s hair.

“Alright.” Baekhyun swallowed. He wasn’t prepared at all for this night to come, but he wanted it. He wanted to feel Chanyeol’s skin brush against his. He wanted to dig his hands into Chanyeol’s back, he wanted everything.

Baekhyun started to pull his own shirt off, revealing only his bare chest. Chanyeol stared in awe as the pale boy stood out in the small room. “You’re beautiful.” He said with a smile, causing Baekhyun to blush madly. “S-shut up.”  Baekhyun said as he pushed Chanyeol’s head to the side. “Whatever I’m going to do tonight, I’m going to make sure that I don’t forget it in the morning. I love you, Byun Baekhyun.”

Baekhyun could only feel Chanyeol slowly strip off his jersey pants, kisses still hot, lingering on his lips.

--------------

Baekhyun woke up the next day, his back incredibly sore. He winced in pain as he tried to pull himself up. He looked to his right and saw Chanyeol, spread out on the edge of the bed, almost toppling over. His cheeks furiously turned red as he remembered the events of last night.

“Good Morning.” Baekhyun felt his heart skip a beat as the familiar husky voice greeted him. “G-Good Morning.” Baekhyun wrapped the covers around him, feeling conscious of the boy who was only in his boxers. “Do you feel okay? Does it hurt?” Chanyeol said as he lifted himself up eyeing the room he was in.

“It hurts like a .” Baekhyun said he rubbed his bare . He wasn’t wearing anything, making him feel more embarrassed of the situation they were in. Chanyeol stared at him, his eyes wider than they usually were. “O-Oh my God. I’m so sorry. I-I tried my best to ease it in lightly. I used lube and everything, and I even stuck my fingers in before-“

“Stop, you’re embarrassing.” The boy’s cheeks flamed up, not looking back at the panicking boy. “B-But, you’re hurt.” He frowned. Baekhyun finally turned his head to face Chanyeol, a reassuring smile on his face. “I’m fine. I’m glad that I did it with you.” Baekhyun’s smile made Chanyeol sigh, a drowsy smile gracing his face.

From downstairs, Baekhyun could hear the sound of utensils clicking against the cheap china their family used for eating. He immediately stood up, blanket still draped on his body, helplessly searching for his clothes. He quickly snagged for his duck hoodie and the gray jersey pants Chanyeol had mercilessly stripped last night.

He turned to Chanyeol and told him to stay quiet, getting a nod in reply. He sprinted downstairs and saw his parents quietly eating in the dining area. Did they hear? He walked to them and sat on his designated seat, mumbling a Good Morning as he did so.

“Good Morning, Baek.” His mom said as she flipped through the pages of the newspaper. Baekhyun had already picked up his fork and was poking at his eggs when his father spoke up. “So, how was your flight?”

Baekhyun felt relieved that they probably didn’t know, and immediately told them about his trip (cautiously leaving out the part where he drowned.) They spent an hour just sitting on the table and talking about family stuff. His father’s job had given him a higher pay, and his mom was thrilled. “That’s great! Maybe we can finally go and have a family trip?” Her mom clasped her hands together.

Baekhyun felt himself smile as his parents argued on which place was best. “I really want to go to Jeju Island.” His mom was practically begging his dad for this trip, and the conversation went on.

Baekhyun looked at the clock on the wall and swallowed. He’s been gone for an hour and a half, and remembered that Chanyeol hadn’t had anything to eat back at the plane since he was to engrossed in drinking wine. He quickly wiped his mouth and placed his plate on the sink.

“Baek, do call your friend down for breakfast. I bet he’s starving.” Found out.
