Yong Hwa is in the comfort of his home inside his music study room when someone knocked on his door.

“Omma.”

Min Jung, his stepmother, came inside and looked around the room. Yong Hwa was bewildered on her actions. She doesn’t usually go inside that room unless something is bothering her.

“Shin Hye  is such a great musician. I was moved by her performance.”

“Were you there?”

“Yes.”

Yong Hwa doesn’t know what to say to extend the conversation.

“Were you able to talk to her?” Min Jung eyed him.

“No.”

“Really? After all, she’s given up your marriage to pursue her dreams. “

“What are you talking about?”

“Isn’t that the reason why you went to New York? To forget her after slapping you with the divorce papers?”

“Who told you that?” He was frustrated now.

“What?!!”

“She came here several days before you flew to New York. She told us that she has bigger dreams so she’s leaving you.”

“Planned what?”

Yong Hwa closed his eyes and remembered the day he told his father that he’s leaving. His father didn’t say anything, he was not even stopped or threatened just like always.  All because Shin Hye made herself the culprit. She cleaned up his name to his father.
