[foreword]

Kim EunJung slammed the door of the car as she hurried to their house with an expectant look written all over her face. She opened the knob, jumped inside their house, and sped off to her room located on the second floor leaving her mother sighing.

"Hey!" She heard her best friend shout at her annoyed, back in the car.

When she finally got in her room, EunJung excitedly her PC. Her classes were over and her usual routine every time she goes home is to surf the net and check if her favorite authors updated their fanfics or if not, she would search for some new stories for the mean time.

"YES! YES!! YES!" She hummed happily, as she saw an update of her favorite story and even the author is online. 'I can chat with her!!'

Her eyes went wide when the screen turned black. 'Huh?' Her face frowned as she clicked on her mouse. Again, she tried but the monitor was still dead. She checked on it again with her brows connected with each other signaling that she was pissed off, only to know that her PC has been shut down.

She turned her head to the other side of her room and saw her best friend smirking at her as he waved the plug in the air.

"Hey!!!" EunJung stood up and tried to grab the plug away from her best friend but she failed to do so since he was taller. "Give me that!!" She whined.

"Nu-uh." He shook his head liking the way in which his best friend tries her hardest to grab the plug from him.

"And why not?" EunJung asked pissed off,stopping from her crazy jumping. Her best friend is sometimes just too irritating.

"Shouldn't you do your homework first before fantasizing about your favorite Kpop pairings?" He asked plumping down on her bed comfortably positioning himself.

"What do you care? What's wrong in reading those fan made stories? Huh?" She said sitting down with him while opening her laptop.

Again, he saw how her eyes glimmered while reading her so-called addiction.

"Just stop reading that already!! Why do all girls like wasting their time sitting down for hours while reading those?!!"

EunJung eyed him, "Are you... jealous?"

"Jealous of what?" He crossed his arms over his chest.

"That I'm spending more time here slacking and not bonding with you?"

"So?" He gave her a look,  "What's wrong with that?"

EunJung was taken aback by his honesty.

"We've been so busy these days. It's hard to find a time to just escape our hectic sched but here I am with you instead of doing some important things."

She raised a brow at his last statement, 'So I'm not important?'

"I thought you called me a while ago because you wanted us to hang out.Since it's been awhile that we get to spend time together,however it's not because of that." He suddenly pointed at her laptop, "It's because of that freaking thing. You called me so that I can give you a ride home and you could check your addiction!!"

She started to laugh at his sudden outburst and slowly crawled to his side and hugged him from the back while tickling him.

"Aaw!! My best friend is just too cute!!! I'm so touched!!"

"Ya-hahah!!...Y-ya~~ S-stop it!!"

"Promise I'll make it up to you. But for now.." She looked at him with pleading eyes as if asking for his permission.

"I just can't seem to understand you. Aren't you satisfied with me?"

"With who?" She coughed jokingly.

The jealous latter rolled his eyes.

"You see," she told him, "it's not like I see my idols every day. I want to know them; I want to be with them."

'Here she goes again with her fangirling…'

"That's why I really like reading stories. I feel like I am getting close to the characters. I love the feeling of being giddy when I know what I read are just pure fictions."

"That's what I'm telling you!" He said like a grumpy old man telling his personal nurse that he was right all along. "Aren't you satisfied with me?"

EunJung laughed at her best friend's boasting.

"Eun, don't you know?" He moved closer to her.

"Know what?" She asked raising a brow though her heart is beating so hard because his face was so close with hers.

"You're already living a life of a fanfiction." He said as a matter of fact and lied down again on the bed.

She stared at him disgustingly and threw a pillow at him.

"YONG JUN HYUNG!!! GET OUT!GET OUT!!" She said pushing him out of the room and locking it before her well-built best friend block the door.

As soon as she double locked the door, her back slid down the door and she felt her heart do some flips and turns. She suddenly felt a lump on and she could not breathe properly.

"Ya! EunJung!! Open up!" She heard him shout at the closed door. "I chose you today over our BEAST practice!! Let's not waste time!! Hang out with your childhood superstar!!! C'mon let's go out!! I miss my one and only best friend aaalready!!"

EunJung knew he was just telling those so that she could open up. Little by little, she feels hurt. Hurt because she knows that she would never ever be like those girls in the stories she reads. She knew that her love life would not turn out like those in her addiction. She knew her one and only superstar Jun Hyung would not fall for her. At least she is happy that she is the best friend of her love. She is already thankful that she has a special place in his heart.

Still... it hurts her knowing that the larger space in his heart is saved for someone else. Someone who’s not her.

She does not know why but a tear escaped from her eyes. "Why do I have to fall in love with you?" She uttered. "I'm such a pabo in love."
