Dara tried pulling her hand from Youngbae's grasp but he just held on tighter.

"Youngbae, let go!" She demanded when they reached an empty corner.

He let go of her hand then he lightly pushed her and cornered her to the wall.

"Yah!" Dara howled at him.

With Youngbae's hands on the wall she couldn't move or escape.

Dara was too upset and angry to even realize that their face were too close to each other.

"Why did you have to drag me all the way here?" She asked glaring at him.

Youngbae stared at her and sighed.

"I'm sorry Dara." He said softly.

"You were too upset back there, you might say something... you know... not nice."

Dara snorted.

"Well he deserves it!"

"I'm really sorry Dara." Youngbae said quietly.

Dara stared at him confused.

"What are you sorry for?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows.

Youngbae lowered his gaze and slowly removed his hands from the wall.

"I was in the way." He said.

"You were talking about something important back there."

Dara's eyes widened.

"What something?"

He didn't answer.

She pushed him with her two hands when she understood what he meant.

"The hell with that!"

Youngbae was surprised with her sudden outburst.

"For crying out loud Youngbae, he was mocking you!"

Youngbae couldn't help but snicker.

"Oh, so you think it's funny?!" Dara put her hands on her hips.

He knew that Dara's outburst is uncontrollable.

'There's only one way to stop her.' He thought.

"That bastard, that f---" Dara was supposed to swear when Youngbae quickly pulled her into his embrace.

"Yah!"

"Enough!" He whispered as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Yah!" Dara tried to struggle but surprisingly she felt weak inside his arms.

It's been a long time since she felt Youngbae's warm embrace.

"Okay, I got it." He said holding on to her. "You're just defending me."

"What does it look like I'm doing?!" Dara retorted. "You're my best friend; of course I'll defend you."

He tightened his embrace.

"Youngbae...." Dara gasped. "Can't.... breathe...."


"Omo!"
They heard someone say.
Youngbae slowly let go of Dara.
They both turned to look who it was.

"Mianhaeyo." Yuri apologized, looking embarrassed.

"I-I was... I wanted to say goodbye, oppa." Yuri said stuttering.

She looked down on the floor.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"I'll see you off, Yuri." Youngbae cut her.

He turned to Dara and held her hand.

"If you don't mind Yuri, Dara and I will look for Chaerin first." He said.

Yuri just nods her head.

The three of them went back to the crowd but they couldn't seem to find Chaerin or the others.
Just around the corner, Youngbae saw Seunghyun and Uee talking.

"Seunghyun-ah," He called his attention.

Seunghyun turned to look.

"What's up?"

He noticed Dara was looking kind of unusual.

"Is everything alright?"

"I couldn't find the others so I'll leave Dara here with you if you don't mind." Youngbae said ignoring the fact that Uee was beside Seunghyun.

"What's wrong with Dara?" Seunghyun whispered to him.

"Listen guys." Dara spoke. "I'm not a kid you know, I can look for Chaerin-"

"She's fine." Youngbae ignored her and answered Seunghyun.

"Yah!"

They saw Dara frowning and crossing her arms.

"Just don't let her talk to a person named Lee Minho." Youngbae whispered back.

"Lee Minho?" Seunghyun repeated, looking confused.

"I'll be back in awhile." He said winking at Dara.

He grabbed Yuri's hand and left.

Standing in front of Seunghyun and Uee felt so uncomfortable for Dara.
She wanted to leave but Seunghyun wouldn't let her.
She was praying hard that Chaerin or anyone will show up so she doesn't have to stay with the two.

"Dara-sshi." Uee suddenly spoke.

"Ye, Uee-sshi." Dara replied looking at her.

"You can call me Yoojin, Dara-sshi." Uee said with a warm smile.

"You're friends with Seunghyun oppa and Jiyong oppa; I hope you can consider me a friend as well.

Dara gave Uee an awkward smile.

Seeing Dara's expression, Seunghyun chuckled.

"Yah, what's wrong with you?" He asked her.

"Yoojin doesn't bite. She's like my little sister."

Dara gave out a nervous laugh but she was also giving Seunghyun her sharp stares.

"Dara-sshi, how exactly did you and Seunghyun oppa meet?" Uee asked curiously.

Dara froze.

Seunghyun snorted seeing Dara looking nervous.

"The truth is,” Seunghyun spoke for her. "Dara and I used to date."

Uee's eyes widened. She was shocked.

Dara nudged Seunghyun in the ribs.

'Jincha?" Uee asked, glancing at Seunghyun.

"You dated before?"

Dara noticed the sadness in Uee's voice while questioning Seunghyun.
It seems to her that the information was a complete shock to Uee.

"But oppa, you told me before that you'll only date someone if you feel something for her."

The disappointment in Uee's voice was more visible now.

Seunghyun didn't answer.

Dara wanted to run away.

The talk was becoming more and more unbearable to hear.

Luckily, Youngbae came back with Chaerin, Bom, Jiyong, and Cheondung.

"Nuna, are ready to go?" Cheondung asked.

"Yes, Cheondung-ah." Dara answered quickly.

Dara was about to walk over to his brother's side when she felt Youngbae's hand grabbed her arm and Seunghyun on the other.

The others were surprised.

Cheondung could sense the tension in the atmosphere.

He cleared his throat.

"Uhm nuna, " He said.

"I have to drop by the office and find some important papers that I left. It will take time; can you stay for awhile and wait for me?"

Dara raised an eyebrow at her brother.

"Seunghyun oppa," Uee suddenly spoke.

"I'm not feeling very well right now, I think it's because of the wine."

Uee put her hand on her temple and started to sway a bit.
Seunghyun let go of Dara and held Uee's arm to support her.

"Are you okay?" Dara heard him asked Uee with concern.

"Oppa, can you drive me home." Uee asked weakly. "The girls are not going home till late."

"O-Okay." Seunghyun held her up and looked at the others. "I guess I'll be going now."

He turned to Chaerin. "Thank you for inviting me and congratulations."

Chaerin went to him and gave him a hug.

"Thanks for coming Seunghyun oppa." She said. "Drive carefully."

She turned to Uee.

"Thank you for coming Uee-sshi."

Uee politely bowed to them.

Seunghyun glanced at Dara who was avoiding his gaze.

"Call you later, Dara." He said.

Dara just nod her head.

"I'll walk you to your car." Jiyong said.

"Oppa, make sure that the reporters will not see them." Chaerin whispered to Jiyong.

Dara watched as Seunghyun wrapped her arm around Uee's waist while walking.

Jiyong lead them to where they should exit safely.

Away from the eyes of the media.

"C'mon Dara, I'll drive you home." Youngbae said, snapping Dara from her wondering state.

"Ah, sure Youngbae." Dara replied.

Seunghyun adjusted the passenger seat so that Uee can lie down.

"Thank you oppa." Uee smiled at Seunghyun.

"Just take some rest; I'll wake you up when we're already at your house." He said smiling back.

Minutes later, Uee adjusted her seat back to its normal position.

Seunghyun glanced at her.

"Aren't you dizzy?" He asked while driving.

"I'm better." Uee said straightening herself.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"You can sleep if you want. We still have a few minutes until we reach your house."

"I'm fine, oppa." Uee assured him.

Knowing Seunghyun was concern about her made Uee so happy.

Her smile suddenly disappeared when she remembered what they talked about at the party.

"Oppa?"

"Ne?"

"You dated Dara-sshi, right?" Uee asked.

"Ne." Seunghyun simply answered.

"Does that mean you liked her?"

Seunghyun was silent for a moment.

"Yes." He answered while turning the steering wheel.

"Liked her right?" Uee repeated.

"Meaning it's all in the past, right?"

She saw a hint of smile on Seunghyun face while driving.

"I wouldn't say that it's all in the past, Yoojin." He said.

"I didn't get that."

Seunghyun chuckled and glanced at Uee.

"What I mean is, my feelings haven’t change."

Uee felt like the whole world crushed her.

"What happened oppa? Why did you break up?" She managed to ask.

"We didn't break up, Yoojin."

"Huh?" Uee said in confusion. "I really don't get you oppa. You said that you two used to date but you're saying now that you didn't break up."

Seunghyun chuckled.

"We just dated long time ago. That's it." He explained.

Uee wrinkled her forehead.

"But you still love her." Uee whispered as she turned to face the window.

Although Uee doesn't understand what kind of relationship Seunghyun and Dara have, only one thing is clear to her.

Seunghyun is in love with a woman called Dara.

Uee took a deep breath. She leaned back and closed her eyes.

'I've been in love with you Seunghyun oppa. Ever since we were kids.' She thought. 'How could I tell you how I feel knowing you're already in love with someone else.'

It was a quiet car ride for Dara and Youngbae.
Youngbae kept glancing at Dara, who was staring out at the window.
Unable to bear the silence he initiated a conversation first.

"Hey, you're going to put a hole on my window with those stare." He joked.

Dara snapped back to her senses when she heard Youngbae.

"Wha-what was that?"

Youngbae rolled her eyes.

"I said you're going to put a hole on my window with those stare."

"Oh." Dara forced a laugh.

"Mianhae. I'm just tired; I didn't know what I was doing."

"What's wrong Dara?" Youngbae asked glancing at her. "It's like you’re not yourself tonight."

"Not myself?" Dara repeated.

"It's like your mind is somewhere else."

"Maybe I'm just really tired Youngbae."

Youngbae shrugged his shoulders. "If you say so."


DARA POV

Of course it's not because I'm tired. I was not myself because I can't understand what's happening to me.
At the party, many things happened that I couldn't explain. My emotion is driving me nuts

First was when I saw Yuri, the ex-girlfriend of my best friend slash ex-boyfriend.
Seeing her made me hate her again.
From the start, I really didn't like her for Youngbae.
When they were talking at the party, it's like she wants to get back together with him.
Aggghhhh...
Her presence also made me uneasy.
Same goes with Uee.
Wait.....
I don't know much about Seunghyun and this is the first time I saw him being close to a friend who happens to be a girl.
It felt weird seeing him talking and joking around with Uee.
The way he talks to her and the way he holds her is exactly the same way when he talks and holds me.
Why am I affected with all of these???
I can fully understand if it's about Youngbae since he IS my ex-boyfriend.
But Seunghyun?!!!!
I don't know. Maybe I'm just overreacting.
I'm so confused.

'Could it be?' I wondered. 'No it can't be.'

Am I jealous of the two women?

I shook my head violently.

'Noooooo...' I screamed to myself.

"Dara?"

I came back to my senses again upon hearing my name.
I turned and saw Youngbae staring at me weirdly.

"Are you okay?" He asked with concern. "You sure look... bothered."

I let out a laugh.

"Me, bothered?" I said pointing to myself. "Why should I be?"

Youngbae turned his gaze back to the road and shaking his head.

"Seriously Dara, you better get some rest." He said. "You're scaring me."
